"And I had a fight with her last night on the phone which is why we are not on talking terms at least until this evening." he told her, grinning broadly. She chuckled, buttoning up the initial buttons of his shirt.
"Might I know why you fought with your only best friend!!!" she asked. He drew in a breath, his hands around her waist.
"Well, she started it like every time. She was like  'You owe me an apology for keeping me in dark for so long' and I am not apologising to her. Never!!! Besides, I pull her out of trouble every single time. Remember last time when she her husbands nearly caught her being a little too friendly with a guy, it was I who lied to them and saved her.....oops!!!" he bit his tongue as he realised he said a little too much. Riddhima narrowed her eyes at him. So that's what they both do, cover up for each other.
"Really!!! Than I guess she must also in future lie to me concerning your whereabouts. Hm!!" she said acidly. He scratched his neck.
"That's the last thing you should worry about sweetheart, I mean shivu would never lie to you and of course you're the only woman in my life so your apprehensions just don't make any sense. Besides, shivu has the habit of peeking around.... I am not like her." he confessed. She looked up at him dubiously.
"All men are same." she taunted him. He gasped loudly. To some extent, yes all men are same but unlike the rest he wasn't a womaniser. He only loved her and no one else. Riddhima was the only thing he had ever wanted. Man he literally waited 40 odd years for his perfect woman, do you think he would literally just cheat on her??? No way!!! He was never going to leave his Riddhima for anybody else.
"That's not true. There are some who are gays." he joked. She laughed.
"Have you met any???" she asked curiously. He pulled her closer to him and spoke.
"I have seen plenty!!! Few were nice but a handful of them were totally unbearable. I had 1-2 literally behind me all the time, proposing me. It scares the shit out of me to even see that from a vantage point." he told her. She chuckled.
"So my handsome husband has literally charmed men as well. That's a news to me." she said. He kissed her lips softly.
"The only person this handsome man couldn't charm was this beauty." and he kissed her again. She chuckled in between the kiss.
"Really Sir!!! Well, I believe you should stand a yard off and get ready because you are getting late for work." she told him, pushing him away. He groaned.
"That's not done baby!!!!! All I wanted was a kiss..."
"Oh really!!!" she looked at him with her brow raised. He coughed sheepishly.
"Ok just a bit more than kiss but....."
"No buts Mr. Raghuvanshi. You're getting late for work. Hurry up!!" she reminded him. He groaned again.
"I'm rich.... I don't need to work everyday." he tried an excuse just to spend some more time with her. She huffed.
"You're coming downstairs in 5 minutes. And please don't forget to call your best friends and apologise to her for your behaviour last night." she told him and left. He pouted.
"Yeah of course!!!! My best friend is dominating now my wife is bossy....... I feel like a patty in a sandwich." he said plaintively.

Vikramaditya was having his breakfast. Riddhima always made sure to cook a heavy breakfast in the morning because she knew once he sinks his head into the files on his table, he will have no time for lunch. She just didn't wanted him to starve. Besides he is just too hardworking. Anurag was tying his shoelaces. His collection of shoes was getting old and because he wasn't getting any money nowadays, he just had to work with his old pair of shoes. Anurag was a crybaby my dear folks. Nike, Puma and any brand you can think of was in his shoe closet. But because he has been born and brought up in luxury, he simply can't come to terms with using same shoes for more than 6 months.
"Make sure to call me if you feel lonely." Vikramaditya told her sweetly. She smiled.
"Anurag have you given the keys to the study room to Natasha." she asked abruptly. Vikramaditya looked up at her from his chair in shock. Anurag wasn't bothered.
"I don't have the keys to that room. It's always with the Ranjan the butler." he told her casually.
"Any problem baby." he asked concerned. Meanwhile, Riddhima caught Natasha listening to their conversation from behind the door. She folded her hands.
"Natasha come out before I slap you." she yelled. Natasha gasped loudly as she jumped out from behind the door.

Vikramaditya gaped at her in shock. Like what the heck is this woman doing behind the door??? Was she taking off the spider webs???
"Hey!!! Why the hell were you behind the door??? Are you playing hide and seek with the rats???" asked Anurag with a frown. Vikramaditya frowned.
"We don't have rats here in my place." said he haughtily. Anurag rolled his eyes.
"Yeah because we have a stupid he-cat loitering in this house...." he muttered under his breath. Vikramaditya watched him suspiciously.
"Were you eavesdropping???" she asked sternly. Natasha chuckled gingerly.
"No........ I was just.....you know......"
"Cleaning spider webs were you???" asked Vikramaditya. Natasha fumed.
"No I wasn't..... I was just standing there..." she defended herself. Anurag guffawed.
"Really!!!! Standing behind the door for no reason.....go find a better excuse dumb woman." Anurag seethed at her.
"She's your best friend no surprises she's dumb." Vikramaditya took a jibe at his own brother. Anurag wasn't happy.
"She's not. My best friend is Arnold." he spat angrily. Arnold was a dumb Mexican chameleon which Anurag carried with him all the time. Honestly, even the biggest animal lover would find it hard to adore that nasty looking reptile. Besides it was absolutely dumb, perhaps more than donkeys. Vikramaditya hated that 'green evolved lizard' that's what he called it.
"Chameleons are nobody's friend you moron. There are plenty of animals around here, get an alligator for God's sake but please get rid of this mushy piece of shit...." Vikramaditya said flatly. Natasha was already bored of them. Anurag frowned.
"I am calling PETA on you.....every animal deserves to be respected...."
"Stop this shit already!!! These hypocritical PETA advocates have turkeys for Thanksgiving!!! Turkeys.....you know what I am saying. If you're eating animals than there's no point in yelling about Animal rights or cruelty. It's alright if you're a non-vegetarian, just don't be a hypocrite." Vikramaditya lectured him. Anurag rolled his eyes.
"Stop it both of you. And Mr. Raghuvanshi, yesterday I caught Ms. Natasha inside the study room. Please ask her what was her business inside the room." told Riddhima.

Vikramaditya's eyes darkened. Natasha wasn't allowed to roam around the house. She's a sweeper here nothing more.
"Natasha what the hell!!!! You aren't supposed to enter that room. You're off limits to anything concerning my business." he shouted at her. Anurag didn't interrupt. Besides he hated Natasha.
"Um I......" she stuttered, too scared to speak. Riddhima raised her brow at her.
"And I caught her with the sales report file you were looking to yesterday." she informed him. This only made him more angry. Natasha was hating her now. Why was she adding fuel to the fire???? What does she want??? Does she want him to shoot her??? I mean why can't this woman shut up for a minute????
"NATASHA !!!! HOW DARE YOU!!!" Vikramaditya was hot with anger. Anurag glared at Natasha.
"It was you who hid that file. You ugly woman!!!!! Because of you I had to listen to this man's curses..... I just want to strangle you." Anurag was pissed off.
"Why did you do that Natasha??? C'mon tell us!!!" Riddhima asked sternly. Natasha hesitated.
"SPEAK WOMAN!!!" yelled Vikramaditya. Natasha jumped in surprise.
"Um.......Um......I was curious to know about the sales this year....."
"Lie." Riddhima interjected. Natasha fumed.
"Who are you to tell me...."
"MIND YOUR TONGUE YOU FILTHY WOMAN!!!! SHE'S MY WIFE....YOU ARE MERELY AN EMPLOYEE IN HER HOUSE!!!" Vikramaditya lashed out at her. Natasha was stunned for a second.
"Ok fine..... I was jealous and wanted you both to fight." she blurted out and then immediately regretted. She could've formed another lie but she chose to give up so easily. Vikramaditya's face was red with anger.
"You bloody......"
"Leave her please she's a waste of time. We're getting late." Anurag interrupted tiredly. He was already fed up of Natasha. Vikramaditya glared at Natasha.
"I'll see you in the evening. I will literally kick you out from here." he hissed at her. Natasha shuddered. He then turned to Riddhima.
"I love you. Don't miss me too much." he whispered kissing her lips softly. Riddhima smiled weakly.

Around 4 in the evening, Mrs. Rautela, her kids, and Riddhima sat inside the hall.
"Are you sure because I don't trust this guy. Besides he hates Vikramaditya." Mrs. Rautela said.
"Auntie Anurag is a complete idiot. I have seen it myself, when he's drunk he doesn't even remember if he's standing on earth or Mars. Neither his hands work nor his legs. Trust me, he's being framed." she told her. Mrs. Rautela still had doubts.
"But he bought the poison...." she said tentatively. Riddhima smiled.
"And that's the reason why I started getting suspicious about everything. I'll tell you why." she then started confiding everything to Mrs. Rautela.

When Vikramaditya returned from work it had gone pretty dark. He straight ran up the stairs to meet his wife.
"Hye baby...." he said as he captured her in a hug before lifting her up. She giggled.
"Please put me down....." she whispered, her hands on her shoulders. He laughed as he put her safely on their bed.
"Today was such an exhausting day. It's so much work nowadays. Huh!!!! I missed you so much." he told her, falling on the bed on his tummy. She smiled.
"Really. Well, to lift up your mood I have got you your favourite moong dal halwa." she told him. His eyes twinkled as he looked up at her.
"But you don't know how to make it." he said. She chuckled.
"Auntie came today and she brought this for you." she told him sweetly. He smirked.
"Did he came as well??" he asked cautiously. She shook her head.
"It seems like he's still mad at you." she told him sadly. He kept his head on her lap and looked up at her.
"As long as I have you with me, I don't care if anybody's with me or not." he told her. She smiled weakly.

Vikramaditya had this habit of having his dinner on his bed. Riddhima had laid his dinner on the bed and they both were eating together.
"Python is launching his car next week. I guess I have to be at the launch....he was really upset when I couldn't make it to his last car launch." he told her, licking dal off his fingers. Riddhima nodded.
"Honey, how did father-in-law died??" she asked abruptly taking him by surprise.
"Um how is this relevant......"
"I just wanna know." she interjected. He sighed.
"My brother and Natasha poisoned him."
"What was the name of the poison??"
"Ha ha my little detective.....well, um I believe hydrogen cyanide....it was some form of cyanide for sure." he told her. She nodded.
"It's so disheartening and even appalling to see a son killing his own father. Cyanide is a tough shit to get your hands on but that dork somehow got it and used it to kill dad." he said. Riddhima drank some water and looked out the window.
"Hm!!!! Sure. It's just that Anurag bought strychnine not cyanide to poison your father." Vikramaditya was shocked. He turned his face towards her and found her staring out of the window, her face grave.
