"Addy please be careful. I don't want you scraping your knee." Riddhima yelled at Addy who was scaling up a small pile of rocks in the left. Addy grinned childishly and resumed climbing up the little mountain. Riddhima smiled. She looked around casually in the park. It was very early in the morning and therefore only a handful of adults had came down here for a nice walk and some stretching. A few kids who had accompanied their parents were currently busy in scaling up the rocky hill alongside Addy. The reason why Riddhima chose to come here this early was because she didn't wanted people to view Addy strangely. Besides she already was fed up of telling people about Addy's bizzare behaviour. And Addy had grown really homesick. She just wanted him to have some fresh air and walk around the hills to ease his mind. She clearly remembered how much afraid he was to climb down the stairs since his mother had cautioned him not to even go near the stairs or else he'll fall down and hurt himself. Riddhima didn't hate his mother since she was just doing her job. As a mother you are naturally predisposed to feeling fear for your child's safety. But somehow she managed to bring him down. Once thing which always worked in Riddhima's favour was Addy's undying trust on her. He trusted her completely. Although Riddhima had done so much for him yet she cannot pinpoint the exact thing she did or offered to him that he completely ended up handing her his security. Not that she was complaining. Riddhima's parents had already abandoned her, the Rautelas were like a family to her but......you know there are things that are different in communities where you don't naturally belong, not about caste or anything like that as in the developed and 'united' India nobody cares (and mustn't care) about caste stuff, but Riddhima had always felt that if she was a burden to her own parents she would definitely be viewed as a burden to other people too even though that was absolutely a self conceived notion about herself which had no grounds whatsoever. Anyways, long story short, she had no one except for Addy. It didn't matter if he was mentally retarded since he was always nice and loving to her. His world revolved around her. Since she's been here, Addy had grown more and more dependent on her. If he wants anything, he literally closes his eyes and calls her name and she appears like some magic. Riddhima looked around, while at the same time keeping an eye on Addy. The park was relatively small and devoid of swings or teeter totters. In short the park was basically structured in a way which attracted more adults than kids. Honestly there was nothing which could fascinate a child here. Maybe because this park was situated way outside the main town. From Addy's house it was just five minutes away and we should keep in mind that Addy's house was the only house in a valley that Raghuvanshi's practically owned entirely. From the valley itself there was a narrow road cut between the flanks of hills in the west and from there you could reach this park that was itself housed under a vast canopy of trees. Riddhima loved the peace and silence here. This tranquility felt heaven after listening to the regular altercations between Anurag and Natasha at the house. They both shared the same room, perhaps the same bed but it was highly unlikely that they both shared any intimate relationship. The reason why Natasha was living in the same room was that that the other rooms in the house were not open for habitation for anyone apart from the Raghuvanshis. The lawyer had padlocked the spare rooms for good. Riddhima too slept in Addy's room on the couch. Addy offered her to sleep on the bed but that was too awkward for her coz what if....what if he suddenly recalls that he's Aditya Raghuvanshi in the middle of the night then....????? She didn't wanted to land up in that situation hence opted to sleep on the couch. It was big enough for her and was rather comfortable so it wasn't a problem to her. Regarding those two, well, Riddhima couldn't understand why they fought all day long. And since it has been disclosed to Anurag that he's in a lose-lose situation from every angle, the fights seems to have increased to ten folds. Honestly it was very difficult to live in the same household where people do not give a shit about other members privacy and comfort. Perhaps that's why Riddhima was working hard to gather enough money and resources so she could shift to someplace where Addy is in no mortal danger and the home environment is peaceful enough for his mental health. She was sure that Addy would go anywhere she'd take him. Besides she had seen that he himself hated to live in that noisy household for obvious reasons. Riddhima was on a hunt for a small rental apartment for them both, where Addy could be safe and she can work peacefully from home. She'd estimated an approximate value of how much money would go into shifting and stuff, thankfully she had enough. Her online coaching classes were paying her enough to live on her own in a rental home. Besides Addy didn't had any additional expenses, he'll eat whatever she cooks for him and she'll take all his clothes from here to the rental home.
"Riddhima..." she heard him whimpering. Looking to her front she found him running towards her, crying like a kid.
"What happened??" she asked, her voice full of concern. He blubbered.
"I scraped my elbow..." and he showed her his elbow. The dust stained elbow had a little patch of red on the end. It probably wouldn't hurt that much but....kids are always so extra and dramatic.
"I told you not to go there. Come on let's go home...... I'll apply a cream on it." she scolded him lightly. He pouted and followed her.
In the early evening, Riddhima had given some turmeric milk to Addy and he had slept after drinking that. Riddhima, after he had slept, busied herself in the coaching classes she operates. Thankfully many kids had joined and many were still arriving every week. It was a good news since her income was now getting pretty stable. Soon she can have enough money in hand to leave this prison like house and go somewhere else with Addy and Vandana. Vandana had decided to stay with them since here was nothing for her. She will continue doing household chores for people to earn for herself. Now, downstairs Anurag and Natasha were having a heated argument over something in Anurag's badly smelling room. Mind you there were cigarette stubs and empty liquor bottles all over the room. The room smelled like a cheap bar in the locality of prostitutes.
"What the fuck is wrong with you Anurag!!!!!....."
"Don't yell at me bitch....I am trying!!!"
"Oh that's what you call trying....you bastard!!!! We don't have any money left with us and you're trying. What are we gonna eat Anurag... and this..." she angrily picks up an empty beer bottle.
"From where did you get the money to buy this.....??" she yelled. Anurag wrapped his hand around her throat.
"Don't you dare cross the line woman!!! I'm not your servant. I am not answerable to you in any way good or bad. You are here because of me. I can literally throw you out anytime I want..." he hissed vindictively. Natasha glared at him furiously. She hit him in the balls with her knee. Anurag jumped back and crouched in pain, holding his walnuts.
"You fucking......"
"Listen here you jerk.... don't ever raise your voice at me. Don't think of me as Aditya or your late father. Aditya was fool enough to let your arrogance go unnoticed, I won't. And remember, I know what you did. I know what you did to your brother. I know all your secrets." she said maliciously. Anurag rose up, glared at her before launching a slap across her unwashed face. She cried. He then grabbed her hairs and forced her to look in his fearsome eyes.
"Look here bitch, don't pin this on me alone. You were the one who came up to me with a plan to eliminate both my father and my brother. You drugged my brother's drink which he didn't drink and an innocent man lost his life, the waiter who drank it unknowingly. You assisted me in killing my father and make it seem like a heart attack. You assisted me when I was going to eliminate my brother in the same way. I did nothing to my brother you bitch, he just couldn't handle the trauma of losing his father. Don't you dare woman. Don't dare try pinning all this on me. If I get caught, than you are coming with me to prison. And we both know very well that if Aditya Bhaiya gets his memory back than we both are finished because he knew something about us before the trauma took over him. So don't try to blackmail me." he said hatefully. Natasha glared at him.
"That's not what we should be discussing right now. We both are doomed. This property won't come in our hands no matter what we do. The only thing we can do is finish him before he wakes up one day and remembers that there was some foul play behind his healthy father's sudden demise. It won't take long for him to come for our necks. You know your brother better than me..... he's worst than us." she told him. Anurag let go of her and turned towards the door. His eyes spitting fire.
"That woman..... she won't let me touch him. She needs to be taken care of first before we get our hands on Aditya Bhaiya. Aditya Bhaiya knows way too much. Now there's no fight for this property, all we need to see is how we can save our necks." he whispered, clenching his fists. Natasha looked at him in confusion.
"But how will you get rid of her??" she asked, a little excited that she will finally get rid of that demoness. She hated Riddhima, especially when she was married to a man who brutally turned down her marriage proposal while at the same time humiliating her by calling her plastic. Anurag was fool enough to think that she was doing all this just for money, she needed revenge from Aditya, money was secondary thing.
"I know just how to do her away." he whispered, smirking darkly.
In the midnight, Riddhima was called by Natasha to her room. When Riddhima reached there, she found both Anurag and Natasha waiting for her with a smirk on their faces.
"Yes." Riddhima said, crossing her arms over her chest. Anurag rose up from the bed, his hands clasped together behind.
"You just can't keep to your business can't you." he said, eyeing her in disdain. Riddhima looked at him blankly.
"I have no idea what you're trying to say." she told him flatly. He chuckled.
"Not required since you don't have much time left on this Earth." he said evily. Riddhima could smell something was fishy.
"What-What do you mean!!!" she asked cautiously, her heartbeat rising. In a sudden movement, Anurag had pulled out his revolver from behind and had aimed it at Riddhima. Riddhima gasped loudly. Her blood froze at the sight of the shiny barrel of the pistol right across her.
"Only if you had been sane and became my mistress, this wouldn't have happened. Now look what you made me do." he cackled. Natasha laughed monstrously. Sweat beads kissed her forehead. Was this the day she dies??? What about Addy??? Are they planning to kill him too??
"Are you......mad...." she stuttered, terror seizing her fragile frame. He laughed.
"Time for talks is over. Goodbye darling!!!" and he pressed his finger on the trigger. However, before he could pull the trigger on her, the door swung open. Three of them looked at the door and discovered a familiar silhouette of a tall and muscular man standing at the threshold of the door. Anurag was so shocked that he literally pulled the pistol down on his own.
"Addy...." these words rushed out of Riddhima's mouth as she looked at his big figure standing on the door. His eyes were......... different.
