i was so excited for this story actually. what i had planned was:
• alex would not have been scared of the pack after talking to them for a while
• he knew they could kill him, but he also knew they didn't have any justifiable reason to
• he assured he was only in the area to see how bella was doing
• jacob wanted to kill him right away
• alex insisted he has no intention to hurt bella, he just needed to finish some 'vampire business'
• sam demanded to know what the 'vampire business' meant
• alex refused to answer
• sam agreed to let him go but if alex continues to cause a problem in the area, the pack would only be left with the choice to kill him
• after sam lets him go, alex realizes he needs to carry out this plan quickly and carefully
• he grows closer to bella at the diner
• she's intrigued by his mysterious nature
• after spending a week at the diner with her, alex realizes he likes her more than he knows
• whenever any of the pack would linger too long to check up on him, alex would wipe their memories clean of him
• he started to realize that he couldn't carry out the task victoria had given him
• he grew more and more interested in bella
• victoria can sense his betrayal, and she started to go after him
• alex dodged her attempts, and luckily, the wolves were keeping victoria from coming to forks
• bella began to fall deeper for alex
• she was conflicted because of her previous feelings for edward
• alex: "you really attract vampires like no other, don't you, bella?"
• when alice discovered alex's presence in forks, she notified edward immediately
• he rushed back to forks to save bella from alex
• when edward returns, bella is suddenly lost on what to do
• her new feelings for alex was overshadowing her old feelings for edward
• she has to make a choice
• in the end, edward hurt her like no one else ever has
• alex only made her feel love and never denied her affection
• alex called himself a monster too but he never prevented his own self-deprecation to get in the way of his emotions for bella
• when bella chooses alex, edward leaves and never returns

i didn't plan beyond this point, but i knew alex was going to be a big problem for the pack. once they figured out his ability to wipe their minds, they stop at nothing to take them down. bella would probably beg jacob to help him because she loves him.

i think after bella's graduation, she and alex would move somewhere more remote, maybe alaska. alex would start to learn how to hunt animals instead of humans. his new lifestyle would cause distance between he and jia, but she still remained in his life.

alex would turn bella before victoria found them and came after them. they would team up to take her down.

they would live forever with one another, and bella finally finds solace in her lifelong partner.
