While Arcee is looking for Wheeljack she gets stopped by Ultra Magnus, "Arcee, Optimus told me about your backstory. I understand you're the daughter of Halogen, one of the council members."

Arcee looked at him in confusion, "Yes, sir. I am."

"I heard he was a good mech, I'm sorry for your loss. I also heard about what you went through with Megatron and I can assure you that everything will be done to see to yours and the sparkling's safety."

"Thank you, sir," she was surprised to hear the commander say this stuff, seems he does have a soft spot underneath that tough exterior and by the book attitude.

"Tell me, soldier. What made you want to sparkmate with a mech like Wheeljack?"

Arcee clenched her dentures as she tried her hardest to resist the urge to tell him off, "I fell in love with him, sir. As they say, when you find the right one for you your spark will let you know that they're the one. My spark told me that Wheeljack was the one for me, sir."

"Hmm. Just be careful with him. You're carrying Cybertron's future generation in your spark chamber," Magnus says before he walks away.

Arcee still feels confused by what just transpired. Why was Ultra Magnus now suddenly showing interest in her and her life? It's perplexing but she just shrugs it off and continues looking for Wheeljack. She didn't have to go too far, Wheeljack came strolling up to her looking like something was bothering him, "What was commander tight aft talking to you about?" 

"He was telling me that Optimus told him about my backstory with my father and Megatron. He gave his condolences and said that everything will be done to make sure I and the sparkling is safe."

"Didn't think he was capable of giving condolences and of course, you're gonna be safe, I'm not gonna let anything happen to you or the sparkling."

"He also asked me why I sparkmated with you."

"That's none of his business!"

"Wheeljack, at least try to get along with him and follow his orders. I know you don't like to but we're all a team and we need to work together."

Wheeljack stayed silent for a few minutes as he thought it over, for a moment he looked like he was gonna refuse, "Alright, I suppose I can at least try, for you."

Arcee smiles at him, "Thank you, Wheeljack."

Wheeljack smiles back, "No problem, babe."

Just then a ground bridge opens up and Optimus comes walking through, "Optimus, did you find any Energon?" Ratchet asked him.

"No, but I did uncover this," Optimus replies as he sets something down on a table.

They all gathered around to have a look at it, "It cannot be," Ratchet says in disbelief at what he's seeing, he then walks over to the table.

"Be what?" Jack asks.

"The ancient remains of a Predacon," Optimus responds.

"Though it remains unclear why such a skull would be found on your planet, its presence reveals all too much about the Predacon which Megatron recently sent in pursuit of us," Ratchet says as he walks around while examining the thing.

Miko looks at the Predacon skull before turning to Ratchet, "You mean that dragon bot you put on ice?"

"Except the Predacons had been extinct since... well..." Ratchet continues before trailing off as he tries to think.

"Since before most life began on Cybertron," Smokescreen finished for him.

"They're like Earth's dinosaurs," Raf says in amazement.

"Which means for you guys running into one would be like us, meeting a T-Rex," Jack adds.

"So then what were Dinobots," Miko says as she looks over at Bulkhead.

"Totally different," Bulkhead tells her.

"With Megatron's seeming new interest in the excavation of prehistoric skeletons, and a certain scientist back among the Decepticon ranks..."

"It would stand to reason, that Shockwave cloned the beast from one such find," Optimus finished for Ratchet.

"And now Megatron's looking to clone another," Magnus adds.

"What makes ya think bucket head will stop at just one?" Wheeljack asked.

"We could have beast wars on our hands," says Bulkhead.

"And if Shockwave only requires a single strand of CNA of which to clone a beast..."

"He already possesses what he needs to engender this one. Autobots, we must become beast hunters."

There's silence for a second before Smokescreen speaks up, "One thing still doesn't follow. Predacons went extinct on Cybertron. So what would their bones be doing here?"

A few moments later Ratchet brings up the Predacons on screen, "From our historical texts."

"But those are metal versions of creatures from our Greek mythology and medieval literature," Jack says in confusion.

"Not dinosaurs," Raf adds.

"It would stand to reason that Predacons did indeed walk upon this Earth in ancient times, as they seem to be the basis for much of humankind's folklore. Illustrating once again, that the pasts of Earth and Cybertron are inextricably linked."

Sometime later the kids are fast asleep while the Autobots do their work around the base. Optimus and Ratchet have a discussion about the synthetic Energon until Fowler comes out of his office, "Prime! Satellite surveillance has picked up two signs of Decepticon activity. One near an oil field outside of El Paso the other near the Hiberties Bluffs in Scotland. So don't forget to pack your kilts," He ends off with a joke.

"We must divide our resources," Optimus says before he turns to look at Magnus, "Ultra Magnus, lead the wreckers to the Bluffs."

"Yes, Optimus," Ultra Magnus says before he looks over at Bulkhead and Wheeljack, he then walks over to Optimus, "Uh... What's a kilt?" Magnus asks in confusion.

Optimus looks over at Fowler before looking back at him, he leans towards him to whisper, "Agent Fowler can at times be oblique, I find it best to simply nod and mobilize."

Magnus goes over to the other two, "Bulkhead, Wheeljack, let's rollout," he says before walking off.

Wheeljack groans before he follows him with Bulkhead. Arcee walks over to them, "Stay safe, and be nice," she tells Wheeljack.

"Yea, yeah, I will," Wheeljack says before kissing her.

When Wheeljack pulls back Arcee looks at Bulkhead, "That goes for you too. And keep him out of trouble for me."

Bulkhead laughs, "I'll try."

"Alright, let's go Bulk," Wheeljack says as he goes to follow Ultra Magnus out the hangar and to his ship. Bulkhead waves at Arcee and follows them.

"Arcee," Arcee turns to look at Optimus after he called her, "I know you're gonna want to come help but I'm gonna need you to stay here with Ratchet this time. Rest and keep a lookout for any more activity, but do not go alone. You're gonna have to ease up on the action a bit since you're sparked and you are not to go anywhere without one of us going with you."

Normally Arcee would try to protest but given the circumstance, with her being sparked and needing to keep away from Megatron, she understands why Optimus made these new rules for her and she will follow them, "Yes sir."

Optimus gives her a small smile before turning to go join Smokescreen and Bumblebee at the ground bridge. The three of them leave to go to their destination leaving Arcee and Ratchet with the kids.

Ultra Magnus looks over the side of the cliff to see Wheeljack and Bulkhead hanging off the side with a Vehicon right below them. He shakes his helm as he vents out a disapproving sigh while transforming his servo into his baster. He then watched as Wheeljack jumped off the side while pulling out his swords, falling down towards the Vehicon who had looked up and landed on him while slicing his helm off. Once he's on his feet he turns around to give the commander a salute.

Magnus scowls at him, this is the sire of the sparkling that is the beginning of the new generation of Cybertronians. If this bafoon doesn't watch it he's gonna get himself killed, and probably kill Arcee and the sparkling. He then saw a group of Vehicons come out of the cave below him and attack Wheeljack. 

Wheeljack blocks all the blasts before going in to slice and kill one of the Vehicons then turning around and kicking another one in the face, sending him flying backward. Bulkhead jumps down off the cliffside and lands on the Vehicons while slamming his wrecking ball into him, killing him. Magnus starts shooting at them as he runs down the side of the cliff, he pushes himself off and reaches back to grab the big hammer off his back. He slams the hammer onto the ground as he lands, knocking a few of the Vehicons back.

They soon kill off the remaining Vehicons and they looked around to make sure there weren't anymore, once they were sure there were no more they put away their weapons, "That's why we wait for cover," Magnus tells Wheeljack.

Before Wheeljack could make a remark he hears knocking coming from inside his chest, "Ah bolts," he says before he opens his chest to reveal Miko inside. The girl pokes her head out and gasps for air as she tries to stop herself from throwing up. Wheeljack brings her out and walks over to place her on the rock, "Forgot you were in there, kid." 

Miko continues inhaling deeply, "At least I didn't heave on any floor mats this time," she says before she put a hand over her mouth as she felt like she was gonna throw up.

"What were you thinking bringing the native along?" Ultra Magnus asks Wheeljack, "Is this how you're gonna be with your sparkling, always putting his or her life in danger?"

"Hey, don't you dare say that I would risk my sparkling's life! I will lay down my own life to save my sparkling!"

"You brought the native and put her life in danger as well as acting recklessly which could have gotten you killed! You need to keep in mind that you now have a mate and a sparkling that you need to protect, you can't just go off pulling stunts that could get you killed!"

"Well I didn't get killed, I'm still here! And I brought Miko because Prime told you to lead the wreckers on this one, I assumed he meant all of them," he finishes off as he turns to look at Miko. Miko pops her chest out as she puts her hands on her hips, holding herself proudly.

"Are you mocking your commanding officer?" Magnus asks growing very irritated with Wheeljack.

"Wouldn't think of it, sir. The kid's a full-blown wrecker. Isn't that right Bulkhead?"

Bulkhead wasn't sure what to say, he wants to stick with his friend but he also doesn't want to go against his commanding officer, "Well..."

"Look, she may be small but she saved my tailpipe. Snuffed an Insecticon, all on her own."

"Outside standard protocol no doubt."

"The point is, I can handle myself," Miko speaks up. She then stands to attention, "Sir."

"Miko has been through worse. And we've drawn out the enemy and cleared a passage," Bulkhead says as he motions to the open entrance. Magnus grunts still uncertain but he allows her to go with them and they enter the cave to search for the Predacon fossil.
