Hotaru is known to be very very I meant very obsessed with swords to the point of chasing someone who break his sword with knifes, making him look like a series killer. However, he's actually a kind and loving man but in a childish way of course.

Groaning in annoyance, your (hair's color) hair was a mess from all of those pulling on them whenever your plan failed. Your eyes were wide but the heaviness of your eyelids were making it difficult for you to keep them wide open.

❝No! This won't do at all...❞

You furiously tear a piece of paper into little pieces before grabbing another to start scribble something down. However it was short lived when you end up crumpled up the paper out of anger to vent the frustration.

You tossed the paper ball into the fireplace and burned for good, right below you were multiple crumpled up paper balls on the ground, filling up the floor with the used of papers, making a huge mess in the room.

You want to get his attention but he always ignore you because he always focus on perfecting his sword ever since a boy who got a black sword broke his sword.

Because of that, you've being trying to gain his attention by pulling pranks on him since other methods didn't seems to works out in the end but so far, all of your pranks didn't work either.

Scribbling on a brand new paper, your (eyes' color) eyes were fill with determination as you sat there in silence, blocking the world as you focused on your new idea of a prank to try once again.

Okay now that's just strike a nerve. The veins popping on your forehead didn't went unnoticed by you, it was clear as the sky that you were beyond pissed by now.

When the frustration builds and you thought you were going to explode, taking a deep breath in, you tries to calm down your stream as much as possible. You want to shout, have a tantrum and beat your hands on the ground like a toddler. You want to vent, let it out, but you don't want to say words you don't mean, be hurtful.

Your feet slip outwards on the wet autumn leaves as you round the corner, the cold evening air shocking your throat and lungs as you inhale deeper, faster. With each footfall a jarring pain shoots ankle to knee, ankle to knee. Perhaps jumping down onto stairs wasn't so smart.

Your heart beats frantically, all or nothing. Fail and your whole body will pay the price, run and the damage is limited mostly to your shins and knees. You know this was a risky task but you did it for the sake of getting his attention and now you're being chased by the very man whose sword you stole from.

❝(Name), Give it back!❞

❝Never!❞

❝I only finished the first step, dammit! Give it back before I change my mind!❞

❝If you can catch me that is!❞

You wiped the sweat from your forehead, exhaustion was around the corners as your legs were almost at their limits. As you sprinted forward, panic trembling in your exhausted limbs as you take turns to create  some distance between you and him.

Your legs underneath you want to break down at the very moment you saw the trap you made, right in front of you was a pitfall with a cloth covered by the leaves with speckles of orange, red and yellow. When the wind blew they came down, breaking delicately off of tree branches and fluttering down to earth like a colorful rain.

Falling leaves tumble from the interlocking branches above, branches that grow so thickly only bright gaps of sunshine break through. As autumn marches toward winter there will be only those fine strands of brown in the distance and the sunlight will cascade to the forest floor unhindered.

It was the perfect spot for the trap, it's went unnoticed by the eyes from all of those  falling leaves covering the pitfall up to blend in with the beauty of Mother Nature.

Once you reached the trap, you use the last remaining energy left inside of you to jump over it. You were glad that you place a few rocks to keep the cloth in place. To others, its seems you want to avoid of being tripping over the rocks and that's what the plan.

A dull, heavy sound, such as that made by someone who had falling to the pitfall follow by a deep groan echoing throughout the pitfall.

❝Ahaha! It's work!❞

❝(Name), I don't have time for this❞

What should you do now that you're finally got his attention? It's your one and only chance of telling him something important.

❝Why are you even doing this-❞

❝Because I love you! That's why!❞

Even though he couldn't see it from below, your cheeks were dust with a light shades of pink. You have your eyes shut close the entire time during the confession, he was quiet, too quiet for your comfort.

Your eyes wider, did he seriously going to reject your confession like that?

After getting the man out of the pitfall, he been quiet the entire time and you were growing to be scared of it because you know you were going to be rejected by another guy since you were known to be the most mischievous girl in your village.

He didn't respond to you but the sudden warmth embrace you as he wrapped his arms around your form, catching you off guard on as he whispered into your ear.

His hug was awkward which made you almost want to laugh at him. Before you could return the hug, he suddenly push himself away, his hands were on your shoulders and this got you confused at first.

❝I will give you three seconds to start running❞

It's didn't click on you till you realize why he said that.

❝I didn't mean to break it!❞

An elder couple were watching the new lovers playing the game of cat and mouse, the elder female was the first one to notice them.
