Lilith scrambled around her room as she tried to get ready for her date with Miguel. She was told to dress comfy and after asking him multiple texts begging Miguel to tell her what he was wearing, he finally caved in and said pajamas.

She decided to copy him. How else was she supposed to make sure she wasn't over or under dressed? Lilith wore some of her plaid pajama pants a shirt that she cut the collar of so it fell at her shoulders. She decided that even if she was wearing pajamas, she was going to do her makeup still; at least mascara and her lips.

As Lilith worked on her mascara, someone knocked on her front door. She groaned, finishing up her eye before she walked out of her room and ran to her door. Lilith went in her toes to look through the peephole and her eyebrows furrowed when she saw Jake standing on the other side.

She unlocked the door and opened it. "What are you doing here?" Lilith asked, squinting up at Jake.

The boy had a guilty smile on his face as he walked into Lilith's home. "My dad took my car for the night... can you drop my off at Demetri's?" Jake asked, nervously playing with his hands.

Lilith smirked, her eyebrows raising. "What? You've got a date too?" She asked and Jake rolled his eyes. "It's not a date." He muttered as Lilith started walking towards her room. Jake followed after her, pushing his hands into his pockets and huffing.

"I'm just borrowing one of his comic books. I tried saying it was a date and if he took a badly I would play it off as a joke, but Demetri said it's not a date, it's a business deal." Jake grumbled, flopping down into Lilith's bed as she walked back towards her mirror to finish her makeup.

"He's so flirting with you." Lilith muttered and Jake immediately pushed himself up. "He's so not!" He yelled, truly believing the boy was too clueless to know Jake was flirting with him.

Lilith laughed and looked back at Jake. "He so is." She said, turning back to her mirror and applying some strawberry lipgloss.

Jake smirked and wiggled his shoulder jokingly. "Ohhh. You're kissing him tonight." He sang in a taunting voice that made Lilith roll her eyes but not deny anything.

She looked down at her clock on her bed side table and realized if she had to drop Jake off at Demetri's and make it to Miguel's by , her and Jake would have to leave right then.

Lilith quickly looked back to her mirror. After running her hands through her hair to make sure there were no tangles, she smiled at the reflection that stared back at her.

Quickly, she spun back around to face Jake, walking towards him and grabbing her bag that was laying on her bed beside him. "You ready?" She asked and Jake pushed himself off the bed as an answer and started walking towards the front door.

When she climbed into Lilith's car, Jake immediately connected to the aux. Demetri lived pretty close to Lilith so it didn't take her long to pull up to the boys house, Demetri already waiting for Jake at his front door.

"Have a nice date." Lilith sang before Jake opened his door. Jake flipped Lilith off, climbing out of the car. "Yeah, yeah. You too." He muttered back.

When Jake closed the door, Lilith rolled down his window so she could still talk to him. "I love you!" She yelled. Like a kid embarrassed by his mom, Jake's shoulders caved in and he walked faster towards Demetri. "Love you!" He yelled over his shoulder, sending Demetri wide eyes.

When she started to drive away, Jake relaxed and smiled at Demetri. "Sorry about her." He breathed out and Demetri laughed, knowing Lilith. "It's alright. I find it very sweet." He then wrapped an arm around Jake's shoulder and led him into his house. "Now, let's find that comic."

When Lilith pulled up ot the front od Miguel's apartment complex, she texted him that he was outside.

Almost immediately, Lilith could see Miguel speed out of his home and towards the glass front gate. He walked towards her car while Lilith rolled down the passenger seat window again.

"Hey! So what's the plan?" Lilith asked and Miguel just smiled. He opened the passenger door and climbed in. Once he was comfortable, he pointed to the gated driveway that led to his apartments parking.

"You can pull into here and park." Miguel sheepishly turned to Lilith and smiled. "The date's at my place, sorry." He said bashfully.

Lilith chuckled, looking down at her and Miguel's pajamas. "Is that why you told me to wear pjs?" She asked as she drove towards the driveway. Miguel whipped his head to look at Lilith, his jaw dropped. "Hey, I never said you had to wear pjs. You're just a copy cat."

Miguel started to use the clicker he brought from inside to open the gate and Lilith drove in. "But yes, it's why we're wearing pjs. Oh! You can park in number 3!" Miguel said, straightening up in his back and pointing to the upcoming parking spot.

Lilith followed Miguel's instructions and parked. When they got out of the car, they walked around to meet at the back of her car. Miguel nervously smiled, his mouth opening and closing before he finally decided on words to say.

"Hey."

Lilith bursted into a smile and pulled Miguel into a hug. "Hey." She replied back.

"I like your pajamas." Miguel said nervously, cursing to himself for how awkward he was being. But Lilith thought it was cute. She looked down at her clothes before she looked back up to Miguel. "Thanks." She replied before she grabbed Miguel's hand, making the boys heart jump.

"So which ones your apartment?" Lilith asked. Miguel's eyes widened, muttering a small "oh!" before he pulled her to his home.

As soon as Lilith stepped into Miguel's house, she smelt chicken Alfredo. Her stomach rumbled, and she couldn't help but smile. Miguel grinned at her, glad to have asked Jake for more advice on the date.

He headed into the kitchen to grab bowls for both of them and just as he was about to hand Lilith her food, his grandmother and mother entered the room, their faces lighting up when they saw her.

His mother walked towards her first, a warm smile on her face. "You must be Lilith. Miggy talks so much about you!" Miguel's mom hummed with a wide smile, his grandma nodding enthusiastically beside her.

Lilith's eyes widened, a big smile growing on her face as she turned to look at Miguel. His face was flushed red as he quickly handed Lilith her bowl and grabbed her hand, tugging her away. "Okay, thanks, Yaya. We'll be in my room!" He called back, already leading Lilith down halfway the hall.

"Keep the door open!" His mom yelled and Miguel groaned, embarrassed. "I will!" He shouted back. Lilith chuckled at the exchange and when Miguel turned back to face her, she raised her eyebrows.

"Miggy?" She asked and Miguel pointed a warning finger at her, walking closer to her. "Not a word to the others." He muttered and Lilith just smiled more, almost as if silently saying "we'll see."

She started to look around the room and noticed was the TV was already on with Mario Kart waiting on the screen and two Wii remotes sitting on the floor. She turned to Miguel, a small and confused smile on her lips.

"What's all this?" She asked quietly and Miguel beamed, almost bouncing in excitement. "I thought we could make this a little stay-in date with all your favorite things."

Lilith glanced between the TV and the steaming bowl of chicken Alfredo in her hands. "So... the food and the game?" She asked, looking to Miguel through her eyelashes.

Miguel rolled his eyes in a fake annoyance and plopped down on the floor, leaning his back against his bed. "And me, of course." he added with a playful smirk.

Lilith laughed, joining him on the floor. "Well then..." She grabbed both of the remotes and handed Player 2 to Miguel. "Let's play, shall we?"

The two quickly lost track of time playing and eating. Round after round, Lilith beat Miguel, winning every single time. By the time their plates were empty, they were both going back and forth for first place.

They couldn't hear the music coming from the TV over their own competitive yells to win. They leaned towards each other, trying to make the other lose and at one point, Lilith even tried to cover Miguel's eyes.

Miguel moved onto his knees in adrenaline when he saw the finish line get closer with him in the lead. He started screaming while Lilith shook her head frantically, not wanting to lose her winning streak.

When Miguel's character, Toad, crossed the finish line just moments before Lilith, who was playing as Boo, Miguel cheered, throwing his arms up in victory while Lilith groaned.

Without thinking, Miguel turned to her, and leapt towards her in a hug. Lilith wasn't ready for the hug and yelped as she started to topple backward with Miguel landing on top of her.

Lilith groaned at the impact for a second before she started to laugh. Since he was lying on top of her, the vibration of Lilith's laughs made Miguel start to laugh with her. Miguel started to push himself up slightly, his hands on either side of Lilith's head.

The realization of their closeness hit them both, and suddenly, the air between them shifted and their breaths got caught in their throats. Miguel's eyes flicked down to her lip and when he looked back up to her eyes, his heart started to beat fast when he noticed her doing the same.

Taking it as a sign, he slowly leaned in, closing the distance between them.

The closer Miguel got, the more the anticipation built within Lilith. It felt like the world slowed down. Impatient, Lilith reached up and grabbed the collar of Miguel's t-shirt, pulling him down to her lips.

Their lips met in a soft kiss. Lilith felt her head get dizzy and butterflies burst in her stomach. Her hands moved through Miguel's hair, pulling him closer. She felt the ends up his lips pull up, making her smile. Miguel leaned down even closer to Lilith, deepening the kiss.

When they finally broke apart, they were both breathless, and smiley as they stared at each other. But Lilith's gaze shifted past Miguel to the alarm clock on his nightstand. Her eyes widened when she saw it was almost 11 o'clock. It was almost curfew, and Lilith still had to pick up Jake from Demetri's.

"Shit! I have to go!" She blurted, pushing herself up. Miguel, startled, looked back at the clock and saw the time. "Shit!" Miguel muttered, quickly getting to his feet and grabbing Lilith's hand, leading her out of the apartment, and to her car.

When they got to the driver's side door, Lilith looked up at Miguel with a warm smile, letting herself relax for a moment to say her goodbyes.

"I had an amazing night." She said softly, leaning up to give him one last kiss. It was a quick one, one that Miguel hardly even had time to kiss back in. "Thank you." Lilith said and Miguel smiled.

"Of... Of course." He stammered out as Lilith opened the car door, glancing back at him. "I'll see you tomorrow?" She asked and Miguel, still caught up in the moment, mindlessly muttered. "See you tomorrow."

Lilith smiled, climbing into the car and closing the door behind her. Miguel stepped back as she turned in the car and he waited until he knew she was safely out of the parking lot before he ran out of his apartment complex and down the opposite direction to tell Johnny at Cobra Kai about his date.

As Lilith drove towards Demetri's home, her smile could leave her face. Her fingers drummed on the steering wheel in happiness before she got a burst of excitement and squealed to herself as she pulled up to a red light.

That was the best date ever.
