After Miguel fought Kyler and his friends in the cafeteria, everyone wanted to join Cobra Kai. Even Demetri, Eli, and Jake.

Lilith was standing at the mirror wall, making sure all her makeup was good when she noticed Eli, Jake, and Demetri in the other side of the room through the reflection. Lilith smiled widely at the fact that her friends showed up.

But as fast as her smile appeared, it washed away when she noticed what Demetri was wearing.

She had only been at the dojo for about a week and she knew Johnny would probably make about half the kids in the room want to quit just from one comment. Lilith even asked Eli if he wanted her to hide his scar with her makeup again incase Johnny made fun of it, but Eli declined the offer, saying he'd be okay. So instead, Lilith just warned her friends and told them not to wearing anything uncool.

Seeing Demetri in a pi t-shirt only proved that he either didn't listen to Lilith or he thinks math is cool. God, she hoped it was the first one.

Lilith turned on her heels and sped walked towards the three boys. Her eyes were wide like a mother angry at her son as she joined the boys huddle, Eli on her left, Jake in her right, and Demetri in front of her.

"I told you not to wear anything uncool." Lilith whisper yelled.

Demetri scoffed at Lilith's comment. He looked down at his clothes before looking back up at Lilith, an offended look on his face. "This is uncool?" He asked, expecting Eli or Jake to back him up.

Lilith, Jake, and even Eli all gave Demetri deadpans, silently asking him "really?" Demetri looked back and forth between his friends eyes before clearing his throat and looking down.

"Quiet!"

Everyone in the room besides Lilith, Miguel, and Aisha jumped at Johnnys yells, the three of them used to it.

"Face front."

As all students turned to face him, Johnny started to weave through the students.

One of the first students he passed was Demetri. Johnny looked the boy up and down before nodding his head. "Nice shirt." He complimented.

A big smile grew on Demetri's face. He turned to Lilith with a subtle "I told you so" look before he looked back to Johnny and smiled proudly. "Thanks."

"I'm joking. It sucks." Johnny muttered. He continued walking through the sea of students, high fiving Lilith as he did so.

Demetri turned to Lilith with a dropped jaw, betrayed that she would high five a man for insulting him. "Lilith!" The boy whisper yelled. Lilith turned to Demetri with a small smile. She shrugged her shoulder innocently, turning back to the front of the class. "What? I warned you."

Lilith could faintly hear Johnny's disrespectful commentary as he walked through the crowd of students. He reappeared on the other end of the dojo and stood at the front of the class. "When I look around this dojo, I don't see Cobra Kai material. I see losers. I see nerds. I see a fat kid with a funny hat with his tits popping out."

Lilith dropped her head out of shear embarrassment for the students around here. They came to karate to get away from the bullying, not pay a grown man to do it more.

"But my short time as a sensei, I've also seen some miracles. So maybe there's some hope for you yet."

Lilith slowly lifted her head at Johnny's words. He was looking at Miguel before he turned to Lilith and smiled, nodding his head. Lilith smiled back, nodding her head in return.

Satisfied, Johnny turned back to the other students. "First I need to see where you're at. So everybody, fall in!"

Lilith was the only student in the dojo to move since Miguel and Aisha were already in their normal spots and no one else knew what "fall in" meant. As Lilith got into her position between Miguel and Aisha, Johnny sighed. "That means line up."

Small noises of realization came from the new students and they all started to line up behind Aisha, Miguel, and Lilith. Johnny groaned, rolling his eyes as Lilith, Aisha, and Miguel all giggled.

"No, not line up in a line. Lines. Get in lines."

"You mean, like, rows?" Demetri asked from the back of the room. Lilith bit her lip to hold back laughing out loud as Johnny dropped his head into his hands, groaning

After about a half an hour, students started to actually show improvement. Johnny walked around the class, helping kids as they practiced their punches.

"Hey, Lip."

Everyone in the room stopped practicing their punches and turned to Johnny. Lilith, wanting to control her anger, kept her eyes on Eli instead of Johnny.

"Yeah, you. The one with the freaky lip. Who do you think I'm talking to?" Johnny snapped and Lilith clenched her jaw. She had to control her anger, but she couldn't let her sensei make fun of her friend.

Lilith turned to Johnny, her chin raised higher to look stronger. "Sensei Lawrence, you shouldn't make fun of someone's physical appearance." Lilith said, struggling to keep her voice low and normal.

Johnny chuckled, turning his attention to Lilith. "Oh, is that so?" He asked and Lilith nodded her head. Johnny raised his hand and pointed at Eli. "So I'm not supposed to mention his lip at all?"

"Well, yeah."

Lilith turned her head at Demetri's voice. The two locked eyes and he nodded. Lilith nodded back and bit her smile back. She turned back to Johnny and was met with a glare. "Yeah, maybe that's what they teach you in school, but in the real world you can't expect people to do what they're supposed to do."

Johnny looked away from Lilith and back to Eli. "You hear that, Lip? If you can't handle someone making fun of you, how are you gonna handle an elbow to the teeth?" Johnny asked, raising his elbow towards Eli, the boy instantly flinching at the action.

Lilith pushed herself forward so she was closer to Johnny and Eli, ready to grab Eli if she had to.

"By calling the police?" Demetri asked. Jake, who was standing behind Demetri, slowly reached his hand out to grab Demetri's.

Demetri looked down at the feeling of someone holding his hand and his cheeks immediately started to heat up when he realized it was Jake's hand.

Jake is holding his hand.

A small smile took over his face, the grin only growing when she felt Jake squeeze his hand.

"Guy, knock it off." Miguel said, stepping up to pull Lilith back just like Jake had done with Demetri, but Lilith held her hand out to him, stopping Miguel from coming any closer to her.

"He does realize the Nazis lost the war, right? Why should I be scared of him? Because he's got a snake on his wall?" Demetri asked, gesturing to the spray painted cobra on the opposite wall. "It's not like he's a teacher who can give us a bad grade. We're paying him. He works for us. It's not like he can actually hurt us."

Lilith noticed Johnnys jaw clench at Demetri's words. When she saw him take a step towards Demetri, Lilith stepped in between them, going face to face with Johnny.

"Oh, shit." Lilith heard Aisha mutter.

Johnny raised his brows as he looked down at Lilith. "You not done yet, Queen of England?"

Lilith sucked on her teeth as a smile started to grow on her face. "Making fun of someone's appearance doesn't make you badass." Lilith started.

She took another daring step closer to Johnny, ignoring Miguel's whispered pleas to get her to stop. She tilted her head to the side and gave Johnny the same condescending smile. "It's makes you a bitch."

Lilith smiled in satisfaction when she saw Johnnys face redden. She looked down and noticed the man's fists clench and unclenching at his sides. Lilith looked back up at Johnny with an amused grin. "You gonna hit me?" She taunted.

Johnny was quiet, trying to control his anger so he didn't lay a hand on Lilith. He took a deep breath and backed away. "Get out of my dojo."

Lilith's smirk dropped. Her eyebrows furrowed as she let out a confused laugh. "What?"

"I said get the hell out of my dojo!" Johnny yelled. Lilith blinked at the man's yells instead of flinching. Her jaw dropped as she stared at the man in front of her.

An angry laugh left Lilith's lips as she walked towards the front of the dojo where her shoes and bag were. Demetri looked back, his eyes following Lilith.

Demetri shook his hand out of Jake's and followed Lilith to leave. She slid her shoes on and grabbed her purse, too angry to notice Demetri doing the same as her.

She walked back towards all of the students and Johnny despite her car being parked near the front entrance. She wanted to walk onto the mat with her shoes on to piss Johnny off and if that meant having to walk down the alley and wrap around the dojo to get to her car, so be it.

She noticed Johnnys jaw clench at the sight of Lilith and Demetri with their shoes on the mat. Lilith made a point of shoving Johnny with her shoulder as she passed him. "Bitch." She snapped, walking down the hallway to the back door.

It wasn't until Lilith was in the back room that she realized Demetri followed her. "You need a ride home?" Lilith asked, her voice was still filled with anger, but Demetri had gotten to know Lilith and knew the tone wasn't towards him. "Yes please."

When they got to the back door, Lilith pushed it open. She let Demetri walk outside first as she stayed at the door, waiting to see if anyone—specifically Jake or Eli—would join them.

When neither boys appeared, Lilith sighed. She walked outside and started walking to the parking lot with Demetri. "Their loss." She muttered.

About an hour after dropped Demetri off at home, Lilith got a FaceTime notification from her group chat with Miguel, Eli, Jake, and Demetri.

Lilith joined the call and saw Miguel, Eli, and Jake all on her computer screen. As soon as they noticed her presence, they stopped their conversation.

"Lilith, what the was that back there?" Miguel asked, still shocked by Lilith and Johnnys fight. In all honesty, Miguel thought it was really attractive.

Jake laughed, almost howl like, in excitement. "What was that back there? It was badass, that's what it was!" Jake said, making Lilith smile.

Jake's smile faltered for a moment and he bit his bottom lip. "Sorry I didn't follow you and Dem out. That dude scared me and he's a huge asshole, but I really want to learn karate."

Lilith was about to open her mouth to speak, but Eli beat her to it. "I'm sorry too. You got kicked out because you were defending me and I didn't even have the guts to follow you out and defend you." He muttered.

She shook her head, a small smile on her face to reassure the two boys. "Neither of you have to apologize for that. I didn't ask you guys to follow me out or anything. Plus, if you guys want to continue going to Cobra Kai, following me out would not have been the best move."

Lilith's smile she had to cheer up the boys slowly fell as realization kicked in. "Do you think... Sensei will ever want me back on the team?"

Miguel readjusted in his seat, his eyes widening. He shook his head crazily in hope to reassure Lilith. "He'd be an idiot not to, Lil." Miguel said as Lilith looked down at her hands to fidget with her fingers.

Since getting closer to the boys, Lilith had let more of her show to them, letting herself be nervous, and sad, and scared around them.

"You're an amazing fighter. You took me down with no classes!" Miguel laughed out, making Lilith smile again. A proud sensation settled in Miguel stomach knowing he made Lilith smile. "If I have to, I will physically drag sensei to your house to apologize."

Lilith laugh at the image playing in her head, Miguel literally dragging Johnny down the street. She nodded, her laughs starting to die down. As she stared at Miguel on her screen, a wave over butterflies took over her body.

Lilith has always been the one to defend her friends and for the first time, someone was ready to defend her.

"Thank you, Miguel. You're the best."

Miguel's smile doubled in size and his cheeks started to pink up at her words.

Feel very third wheeled, Jake slowly brought his fist to his mouth and obnoxiously cleared his throat. Lilith rolled her eyes as Miguel shook himself out of his gaze. The two of them looked to Jake's icon, who had a small smile on his face.

"And us?" He asked, referring to him and Eli. Lilith smiled as Eli blushed at all of his friends attention on him. "You guys are the best too." She said and Jake playfully threw his fists into the air in victory as he cheered.
