its been a few weeks since Paola came. she has to have some kind of scheme she's planning. I cant wait for everyone to understand why I hate her.

"hey, ash, could you get me another cup of that soda? thanks, kid." paola said to me, shoving her cup into my hands and knocking my bracelet on the ground. "what's this?" paola said, picking up my bracelet and looking at it. She then put it in her pocket and walked off.

"hey! that's my bracelet!" I say, running after her. I had dropped her cup when I took chase.

I chased paola for a good hour or so until she stopped abruptly. Paola dropped my bracelet and walked towards me and shoved me out of the way. she just walked away. I turned around to see her closing a door and locking it. I was on one side of the door and paola was on the other side.

"Paola!" I said, banging on the door as I watched her walk away from the door. I then sat down against the door, turned on my small radio to listen to music and waiting fro someone to come looking for me.

Jake's POV

Ash has been missing for a few hours and no one has noticed but me. Paola has been smiling like an idiot and it was I was getting tired of it. I walked up to Paola and decided to confront her about Ash's disappearance.

"Paola, do you know what happened to Ash?" I asked her.

"whats up with being so straight forward?" Paola asked, putting her hands on her hips.

"Ash has been missing for over four hours. do you know what happened to her?" I asked her again.

"don't know you are talking about, kid." Paola said, venom in her tone.

"you do know what happened to ash, don't you?"

"whos ash?"

I pinned paola to a wall and placed a knife to her throat. "What did you do to Ash? don't avoid the question or this knife meets blood." I said to her.

"i locked her in a closet that has a few walkers in it." Paola said, smiling even more. I slammed her into the wall and let go of her, putting my knife away.

I walked down the main mall corridor and heard music coming from the ice cream parlor. I walked into the parlor and to the back room where I found a locked door and the music was really loud. I unlocked the door and what I saw was horrifying. Ash had blood all over her hands and zombies were dead on the ground around her. I ran to ash and helped her up, then I noticed she was wearing a bracelet with plastic red flowers around a little blue heart. we got out of that room as fast as we could and when we were out, ash turned off a MP3 Player. she still had blood all over her hands but blood was also in her hair, on her clothes and on her face.

"Ash, you ok?" I asked her.

"I-I'm fine. Paola's gonna die though." ash said, spitting out some blood.

I gave Ash a handkerchief and we walked to the home improvement center.

Ash's POV

Jake had gotten me out of the back room of the ice cream parlor and we had just gotten back to the home improvement center where we found Paola fighting Emily, Hanna, and Alex in hand to hand combat. jake ran over to paola and grabbed, pinning her against a wall.

"whats going on?" I asked.

"Paola tried to shank Emily!" Hanna said.

"what!?" I said, surprised. "Paola wouldn't go that low."

"well, she did." Alex said.

"we should put Paola in the room." Emily said. alex and hanna nodded in agreement.

"whats 'the room'?" I asked.

"its where we put people who try to kill others." Emily said.

alex grabbed a bat and hit paola over the head with it. she fell limp and alex picked her up and carried her out of the home improvement center. Emily and hanna grabbed some knives and a first aid kit and followed after alex. I walked over to one of the beds and sat down on it, Jake followed and sat next to me. almost instantly, I heard screams of pain from somewhere is the mall. it was clear whos screams they were. the screams belonged to Paola. they were torturing her. I pulled my knees up to my chest and starting crying. Paola may be mean, selfish, and an all about bitch but she didn't deserve to be tortured.

I fell asleep right there, hearing the screams of pain from Paola as they tortured her.
