Chapter 6
Yawning, he unlocked his front door and wanted nothing but to go straight to bed, but he immediately knew he had to shower beforehand.
He didn't even want to eat afterwards. Somehow he had no appetite, but the shower had to be.
Yawning again, he undressed, threw his clothes carelessly on the floor and shortly afterwards stood leaning against the cool tiles with his eyes closed and let the warm water rain down on him.
He didn't think he would feel so incredibly tired during the night shift. But it was apparently a little different to be up all night at home than to work all night.
Without really paying attention to what he was doing, he first washed his hair with his eyes closed and finally his body. He would have liked to have had someone who would do that for him.
Sighing, he distributed conditioner in his hair, although he had thought about it for ages to simply omit the step.
Finally, he turned off the water and first wrapped his hair and then himself into a towel and shuffled into his bedroom
Once there, he put on the first shirt he found and a fresh boxer shorts and only then realized that someone was lying in his bed.
But he recognized the blond hair of his best friend almost at the same moment and relaxed again.
Yawning, he climbed over him, slipped under the duvet and snuggled up to him.
Sleepy, Felix turned around and wrapped his arms around the older, but continued to sleep almost immediately.
Tired smiling, Hyunjin brushed a strand of hair from his face, snuggled up to him and closed his eyes.
Somehow he was incredibly glad about not being alone right now. And also about not having to talk about anything about work, but just being able to cuddle with his friend.
It didn't took long and he fell into a deep, firm sleep.

When he woke up again, Felix was no longer next to him.
A look at his phone showed him that he had slept for almost ten hours and it was already far after noon.
Yawning, he sat up and stretched himself. Only then did he notice the muffled music that came from the direction of his kitchen.
He got up smiling and already in the hallway it smelled incredibly good of food.
Felix stood humming at the stove and stirred in a cooking pot while he had his phone in the other hand and seemed to read something.
He quietly went to him and snuggled up to his back. "Hey babe," he murmured and squinted into the cooking pot. To his surprise, he definitely saw vegetables and meat. Things he for sure hadn't had at home.
"Good morning babe!" said Felix, smiling softly, turned around and wrapped his arms around him.
He took a deep breath. Breathed in the familiar smell of his best friend and leaned against him. He felt tears collect in his eyes and buried his fingers in the older's shirt.
Worried, Hyunjin pushed him away and looked at him. "What's going on, little one? And why are you here at all? Didn't things go well with Minho? Do I have to punch him?!"
Sadly sighing, Felix shook his head and turned back to the pot on the stovetop. "No, it's not that... It was great with Minho. But when I got home last night, my parents were fighting again. My mom was screaming and my dad threw things.... Here...", he pulled down his pants and his legs were covered with bruises and cuts. "I slipped when I wanted to clean up the chaos and banged on the shards..."
Shocked, Hyunjin pulled him to himself after Felix pulled up his pants again.
"Oh babe..." he murmured and gently stroked the back of the younger one.
Things haven't been going so well between Felix's parents for a long time. They argued a lot and although they didn't drag Felix into the back, he suffered a lot from it.
"If you want, you can stay with for now! It's nice not to have to sleep alone and I'm really happy when you're here!" he said and pressed a kiss on Felix's hair.
Felix nodded sadly and finally tears ran down his face. Sobbing, he pressed himself against Hyunjin and tried to pull himself together.
He knew very well that Hyunjin soon had to go to work and actually he wanted to be there for him and take care of him.
Sniffing, he finally pushed him away and pointed to the table. "Please sit down.. the food is ready and you have to leave soon," he said and pushed Hyunjin to the table.
He sighed and sat down. He knew Felix incredibly well and knew very well that nothing would get out of him if he had put it in his head.
Shortly afterwards, Felix placed a steaming bowl with Kimchi Jjigae in front of him and sat down opposite him with his bowl.
"Wow, that smells incredibly good... Thank you!" said Hyunjin and was just about to start eating when Felix jumped up again.
He rummaged through the fridge for a moment and then held out an energy drink to Hyunjin. "Here. There is a new variety," he said and a smile appeared on his face.
"Ooooh thank you!" Hyunjin squeaked with shiny eyes and happily clapped his hands.
Smiling, Felix put the can on the table in front of Hyunjin and then sat down opposite him again.
He had went shopping while Hyunjin had been sleeping and had cleaned up the apartment. He had to do something to feel useful and no longer have to think about his parents.
In addition, he knew very well that Hyunjin hadn't taken enough care of himself in the last two weeks and had basically lived on Ramen.
Somehow the thought of living with him felt incredibly good. No longer having to constantly hear his parents fighting and take care of Hyunjin by the way and when he was at work meet with Minho to learn.
Actually, the whole thing sounded pretty perfect.
Smiling, Hyunjin watched how Felix slowly looked less sad and how a smile finally appeared on his face.
He took a big sip of the energy drink before he started eating.
Felix usually teased him mercilessly with his addiction, but when Felix was sad he had to feel useful and needed.
Other people would probably have exploited this side of him mercilessly, but Hyunjin paid very close attention to the fact that Felix didn't overdo it and did everything to make the younger feel loved.
"The soup was insanely good!" Hyunjin sighed satisfied and full.
"Do you want more?" asked Felix and had already gotten up before the older one could even answer.
"No, really not. I've only lived on ramen the last few days and my stomach has shrunk to the size of a pea."
Felix shook his head reproachfully and went back to the refrigerator, but this time opened the freezer and rummaged around in it.
"But you have to eat dessert," he said and put a pack of Mocchis right in front of him.
"How could I say no to that," Hyunjin said with a grin and tore open the package without further ado. "But only if you also eat some."
Felix nodded smiling and took one.
"Are you meeting Minho again today?" Hyunjin asked, biting into the cold ice cream ball with relish.
"I don't know yet. He said he has something to do and will text me if he'll have time afterwards," said Felix with a pout on his lips.
"You are unbelievable," Hyunjin said with a grin.
They spent the time until Hyunjin had to go cuddle up on Hyunjin's bed and watched a Disney movie.
Hyunjin didn't care what they were watching and he knew that it was the fastest way for Felix to forget everything else.
He had persuaded him to let him braid small braids in his hair and together they chose an outfit, since Minho had finally texted him that he had time.
Smiling, he watched as Felix became more excited almost from minute to minute and when they finally sat together in the car, he was about to jump nervously up and down.
"Babe, calm down, otherwise you'll get a heart attack from all the excitement," Hyunjin said with a grin and grabbed Felix's hand.
"I wish I knew how to make him fall in love with me...," Felix said and sighed deeply.
"Just be yourself and I'm sure he'll fall for you right away. And when I have my days off, we'll go out together! I want to get to know him too."
"Don't you think that could get strange?" Felix asked brooding and nervously pressed his fingers into Hyunjin's hand.
"We just take Binnie with us. He is already jealous anyway because you spend much more time with me than with him," Hyunjin said with a grin and parked in front of Minho's apartment. "We'll see us later, babe," he said, hugging the younger.
"See you later Jinnie," Felix said with shiny eyes and left the car.
Smiling, Hyunjin watched him hopping excitedly to the entrance and then drove to work.
