All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone

Nathan and Claudia were walking towards the ambulance. Brooke, Lucas, Peyton, Skills, Mouth, Haley and Jack are following behind them.

"Thanks guys. I love you all." Claudia breathed deeply as she was helped into the ambulance, Nathan jumped in behind her.

"We are taking mum and dad, we will be right behind you." Jack shouted before they closed the ambulance doors.

___

Claudia was in the delivery room, screaming and crying in pain. Nathan was beside her trying to comfort her.

"Come on, Claudia, just breathe." The midwife said as Claudia tried to push the babies out.

"You're doing good, baby. You're doing so good. I'm right here." Nathan said encouragingly as Claudia cried.

"Get out of me!" Claudia screamed. Her first baby finally came out. Claudia sighed with relief.

"It's a boy." The midwife smiled and Claudia looked at her boy with such pride.

"Just relax." Nathan said as he placed his hand on Claudia's shoulder.

"You're a dad!" Claudia laughed before she groaned in pain.

"You are doing great Claudia, one more." The midwife said and Claudia nodded her head, took a deep breath and began to push. Finally, her last child came out.

"It's a girl." The midwife smiled and Claudia sighed with relief.

"You did so good. You did so good. We have a son. We have a daughter." Nathan exclaimed as he smiled at his wife, who was exhausted to say the very least.

"I want to see them." Claudia asked and the midwife handed her over James, while Nathan to Grace. "Hi. Hi, baby." Claudia laughed as she looked down at her beautiful baby boy. "Welcome to the world, James Lucas Scott. Look, that's your daddy." Claudia smiled as she pointed over to Nathan who was holding Grace. He was so careful with her, he could not believe he had a little girl.

"He's so beautiful." Nathan said in awe as he looked at his baby boy.

"They are both so beautiful." Claudia smiled as she looked at Grace before back at James.

"Like their mom."  Nathan smiled and Claudia touched Nathan's cheek with her hand.

"That's your daddy." Claudia grinned as she showed James his dad.

"That's your mom, yes it is Grace May Scott." Nathan said in a baby voice to Grace as he smiled over at Claudia.

(SONG THEY ARE LISTENING TOO WHEN CLAUDIA WALKS IN)

Nathan is holding his son, watching basketball and listening to Claudia's new album Twenty Three. Claudia walked in holding onto Grace.

"Unbelievable. He's only mellow when we play my music? What happened to the soul music I played for nine months?" Claudia asked as she stood in front of Nathan.

"I got a confession to make. Every time you fell asleep, I went to your music." Nathan laughed and Claudia rolled her eyes. "That's my boy, isn't it?  You like mommy's music huh? Yeah." Nathan spoke in a baby voice to James. Claudia smiled at him proudly.

"Swap?" Claudia asked, Nathan nodded his head and they swapped over twins.

"Theres my girl, yes." Nathan smiled as he looked into his baby girls eyes. All he could see was Claudia's beautiful face.

"Hi Jamie. Let's go switch the music yeah? Yeah." Claudia said in a baby voice as she walked over to the music and changed it to Carole King.

"When does your album officially come out?" Nathan asked as he switched off the basketball. Claudia sat down beside him on the chair.

"The release date is tomorrow. Why?" Claudia asked as she adjusted herself so James fit perfectly in her arms.

"Because I am going to be the first person ever to buy a copy." Nathan smiled and Claudia kissed him on the lips.

"You're sweet." Claudia grinned before they both turned their attentions back to their children.

___

"So, you know, there's a big party tonight, kind of a last hurrah for all the seniors." Nathan explained as they looked down at their kids who were in their separate cribs.

"I know, but what are we gonna do with the babies?" Claudia asked as Grace held onto her finger. Deb and Josie walked in.

"Cue the crazy grandmother."  "Cue your favourite grandparents." Deb, Josie and Tom said in unison as they all walked into the bedroom. Nathan and Claudia turned around to face them.

"And F.Y.I., if either of you ever calls me "grandmother" in public, I'll use my gun. Which is at the range, safe from the most beautiful baby babies in the world." Deb  explained as she walked over to her grandchildren. She picked up Grace and Tom picked up Jamie.

"They are so adorable." Tom said in awe as he looked down at his beautiful grandson.

"You, you, you. Go. we'll watch them." Josie insisted but Claudia sighed.

"Oh, I don't know." Claudia groaned as she looked at her children. She really did not want to leave them.

"We're underage, mom, and there's gonna be drinking, alcohol, probably some drugs." Nathan added, neither did he want to leave his children alone.

"You're going to the party, and you're going to have fun. We insist. Now go." Deb ordered as Josie pointed to the door. "Bring me home some drugs. Isn't grandma funny? Isn't she?" Deb laughed to Grace and Tom and Josie joined in..

"Do we have to go?" Claudia asked groaning as she walked down the hallway. Nathan laughed a little.

"Claudia you are going to get addicted." Nathan explained as he walked beside Claudia.

"But they are just so cute." Claudia exclaimed as she played with her Cracker Jack Bracelet.

"I know but we have to leave them alone." Nathan replied.

"Your mum was joking about drugs."  Claudia hissed as they walked down the long hallway .

"Go get changed." Nathan laughed as he slapped Claudia's bum cheekily as she walked into the bedroom. Five minutes later she came out.

"What do you think?" Claudia asked as she walked out of the bedroom. She was wearing her blue bellbottom jeans, her famous Stevie Nicks top and her mums leather jacket. Nathan stared at her in awe.

"You get more and more beautiful." Nathan smiled before they kissed. Josie walked out of the kids bedroom and saw them kissing.

"Get to the party. Now." Josie exclaimed and the teenagers walked out laughing. It was like they were kids.

___

Claudia and Nathan arrived at the party together. Claudia was still thinking about the children but she then decided to try and have fun.

"Okay, we'll have fun. I just saying, maybe I should give Deb one quick call just to check in." Claudia suggested but Nathan shook his head.

"Claude, come on, I miss the boy and girl, too, but we're not gonna be those crazy, obsessive parents. You need to enjoy one last night with all your friends." Nathan replied and Claudia nodded his head.

"Okay, I won't call." Claudia sighed as they stopped walking.

"All right. Tonight's gonna rock." Nathan smirked and Claudia held his face in her once cheek and smiled up at him.

"It sure is." Claudia whispered before she kissed Nathan passionately.

___

"Hey, Deb, hi. It's... It's me. I... I'm sorry to bother you. I just wanted to... check in, yeah. Everything's great? Great. Okay, good, good. All right. Thanks. Oh, also, can you just not tell Nathan that I called this time... or last time? Thanks. Also, uh, before you go, he really likes his little... giraffe." Claudia said to Deb on the phone and she answered back. Rachel came up behind her and flicked the back of her head. Claudia ended the phone call and turned to face her.

"Ow!" Claudia shouted

"That's for soaking me at the last party. The bitch slap, I deserved." Rachel smirked as she started to leave. Claudia threw her drink on Rachel's back.

"That's for flicking me in the back of the head, bitch." Claudia glared before she walked away from a soaking wet Rachel. She couldn't help but laugh maliciously.

___

"Hey." Claudia smiled as she walked over to Brooke and Chase.

"Hi, tutor mom. How you feeling... you having fun or you worried about the kids?" Brooke asked unsure as Claudia was expressionless.

"Um, I am... worried... about you, too. I'm gonna miss you this summer." Claudia answered upset.

"Okay, don't. Don't do that. Don't make me cry 'cause I'm barely holding it together as it is." Brooke laughed slightly.

"Nathan and I want you to be Grace's godmother because Haley is James' and Lucas is going to be the godfather to James and Jack is going to be godfather to Grace." Claudia explained.

"Okay, that's gonna do it. Claudia."  Brooke laughed as she wiped away her tears. "I would be honored to be his godmother, and I promise you that, unlike my ungodly mother, I will so kick ass at this." Brooke exclaimed excitably.

"I know you will... as long as you don't say "kick ass" around him too much." Claudia added and Brooke nodded her head.

"Right, sorry." Brooke giggled.

___

"Look at this. It's like a Clean Teen reunion. All we need now is Chase, but... honestly, he's not that clean. He appreciates the art of a dirty text message." Brooke laughed as she stood beside Haley, Peyton, Rachel and Shelly.

"Haley, Jack! How are my two favourite godparents?" Claudia asked loudly as she walked over to them.

"Very funny. I am not a godparent." Jack replied disappointed. Claudia raised an eyebrow.

"Grace will be pretty disappointed." Claudia added and Jack looked up at her shocked.

"I am a godfather." Jack exclaimed as he hugged Haley.

"Of course stupid." Claudia laughed just as Wannabe by the Spice Girls came on. Bevin ran out and grabbed Peyton and Brooke. They all started to dance together then all three of them pointed at Claudia and Haley. Claudia and Haley smirked at each other before they joined in with the routine. Then Rachel and Shelly started to dance with them as well. Once it was over everyone cheered and the girls all took a bow.

___

"Um, we need to go home." Claudia said as she walked up to Nathan at the party. Nathan looked down at her confused.

"Why? What is it?" Nathan asked frantically and Claudia sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair.

"I know we promised we wouldn't do this, but I called just to check in on the babies, and Deb's not answering the phone, there's no busy signal, no answering machine, and she's not answering her cellphone." Claudia explained scared and worried. She hated being away from the children.

"Okay, let's not freak out, okay? It doesn't mean our mom's are not on top of it." Nathan replied and Claudia raised an eyebrow.

"Your mum the former drug addict, attempted murderer, who dropped a loaded gun in the café? My mum the crazy grandparent?" Claudia asked and Nathan sighed with realisation.

"It wouldn't hurt to check." Nathan suggested worried.

"Right." Claudia nodded before they walked away from the party.

___

Deb was sitting in an armchair with James in her arm, Josie was sitting in the other arm chair holding Grace. Tom had to go home.

"Mum?" Claudia whispered as she walked into the babies' nursery.

"Mom? Mom, what happened to the phone?" Nathan asked as he walked in behind Claudia.

"I unplugged it." Deb  replied.

"Why?" Nathan asked confused.

"Because the two of you were driving us crazy." Josie explained as she cradled Josie.

"The two of us?" Claudia asked looking up at Nathan with a raised brow.

"I might have called a couple of times." Nathan lied as he slipped his hands in his pocket.

"Six times." Deb corrected smirking a little. Josie smiled over at Deb.

"You crazy, obsessive parent." Claudia laughed as she looked up at Nathan.

"You called eight." Josie laughed as she held Grace in her arms. Claudia just shrugged.

"I missed them." Claudia pouted as she looked at her beautiful children.

"They are fine. But go back to the party and have fun. You have the rest of your lives to worry about children. Trust me." Deb replied before her and Josie left with the twins.

"All right. You want to go back?" Claudia asked.

"Yeah. Hey, hold on a second." Nathan said pulling Claudia towards him. "You're gonna be a great mom, you know that? Actually, you already are a great mother, and that's very sexy." Nathan whispered as he leaned down so his face was closer to Claudia's.

"Really?" Claudia asked smirking. "We don't have to go back right away." Claudia continued before she bit her lip.

"You're absolutely right." Nathan whispered before they started to kiss.

___

"Hey, um, you got a sec, Luke?" Claudia asked as she walked up to Nathan, Peyton and Lucas who were standing at the bonfire. They were now no longer seniors. They were now no longer high school students.

"Yeah." Lucas nodded and they went for a walk together.

"I'm sad. I am sad. I... It just hit me today that you and I have been together pretty much every day of our lives, and we're gonna have to say goodbye soon. We're not gonna..." Claudia began to explained but Lucas cut in.

"Claudia." Lucas groaned.

"Look, I just... I really want you to know that I love you and there's a reason why our son's middle name is Lucas. You had Keith, and James and Grace are gonna have you. And, um... Nathan and I would like for his uncle Lucas to also be his godfather, which you already knew we were going to ask." Claudia explained and Lucas smiled at her.

"Thank you. I would love to." Lucas expressed.

"Good. I just... I hope he learns how to follow his heart like you do. I'm really gonna miss you, Luke." Claudia admitted getting emotional.

"No, you're not." Lucas laughed as he shook his head.

"What do you mean? What's so funny?" Claudia asked chuckling slightly. She was really confused.

"Do you want to hear a secret?" Lucas asked and Claudia gave him an 'obviously' expression. Lucas whispered something to Claudia.

"Oh, Luke that's amazing! You are going to coach Nathan's team." Claudia exclaimed happily before she hugged her best friend.

___

They whole group- Brooke, Peyton, Haley, Claudia, Bevin, Jack, Chase, Lucas, Nathan, Mouth, Skills, Junk and Fergie- were all at the River Court.

"Girls versus boys!" Peyton exclaimed and they all started to play basketball. Nathan had the ball and Claudia leaned up to his ear.

"You give me that ball and I'll make it worth for a while." Claudia whispered into his Nathan's ear before she bit it slightly. Nathan handed the ball over to Claudia. They boys all looked at Nathan shocked.

"Sorry, guys." Nathan said putting his arms up in defence.

"Sweet! Haley go long." Claudia shouted and Lucas laughed.

"Wrong term Claude!" Lucas shouted and Claudia smirked as she rolled her eyes.

"Do I look like I care?" Claudia asked before she jumped on Nathan's back trying to stop him from getting the ball. The game continued and everyone was having fun. Nathan lifted up Claudia so she could finally score a hoop. "Touchdown." Claudia exclaimed happily and Nathan hugged her from the back.

"You and your football." Nathan smiled as he lifted her up and started to run.

"Put me down Mr Touchdown." Claudia laughed as Peyton threw Claudia the ball. Claudia caught in Nathan's arms and she threw it over to Brooke. The game was amazing and nobody wanted it to end.

___

Later on they were all still at the River Court. Bevin had just finished spray painting her name on the River Court. She stood up and linked arms with the group. They were all in a semi-circle looking down at all their names spray painted on the court. Claudia looked at Brooke upset.

"Okay. We're not gonna do this. We're not gonna get sad. Nothing's gonna change now. We'll all be friends forever. I know it." Brooke explained as she looked at everyone holding back her tears. Claudia rested her head on Nathan's shoulder.

"Look, in four years, we're gonna be right back here. You know, done with college or... wherever we go. Right?" Lucas asked and everyone nodded their heads.

"Yeah." Everybody exclaimed as they looked at each other.

"Hey. Ready for a rematch, or you afraid you're gonna get worked?" Nathan asked smirking as he walked to the middle of the court. Lucas laughed a little.

"Do you really want to end your night with a loss?" Lucas asked tauntingly as everyone else sat on the bleachers, except for Lucas and Nathan.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another historic night." Mouth commentated for the last time in his high school career. Claudia and Haley began to get emotional. They were hugging onto each other.

"That's right brother vs brother, a year and a bit later. I am so excited, aren't you Mouth?" Claudia asked commentating as the tears strolled down her face.

"Why did you never do this with me, again?" Mouth asked and Claudia just laughed.

"Eh cause she was too busy making out with Junk." Lucas replied as he stood beside Nathan on the River Court. Nathan raised an eyebrow at Claudia.

"We went out in freshman year. It was nothing." Claudia shouted back and then she hugged Junk. "Sorry." She laughed as she hugged onto him.

"You sure you're up for this, old man?" Nathan asked tauntingly to his older brother. Claudia smiled emotionally. At the beginning of junior year they hated each other. Now they consider themselves as brothers and Claudia is married to one. It is funny how it all changes. Claudia has made friends for life and it is all down to Whitey convincing Lucas to join the Ravens.

"I could do this forever, little brother." Lucas smirked and Nathan threw the ball up and Lucas tried to stop it. We will never know if the basketball went through the hoop. It was a perfect picture.
