I rest my head on my arms, feeling like I'm in some prison with no way out and being tortured as well. I want to leave this place, leave the Kingdom for at least a week, however long it takes to avoid the Israians Royals. I pick my head up, pulling my black bandana down from my mouth and nose. Usually my father doesn't care what I do or where I go, just as long as he gets something out of it.

"Isn't there suppose to be someone else with you, Prince?" A servant asks. I pick my head up, looking at Alesa. I look away from her, setting my chin in my hand.

"Family problems, I let him leave to deal with it." I said. Alesa pushes a plate full of food in front of me, my eyes look at it and than I look away.

"Please eat something, just one thing." She said. I don't really eat much, or anything since.....Alesa walks around the big table and stands beside me with her arms folded. "I will force it down your throat, and I will notify Princess Jessica that you don't ever seem to eat anymore." I stand up, looking at her as she stands her ground. Alesa has been like a friend to me for years, and since the accident, she has turned into my mother. She pushes her red hair from her bonze eyes, I look away from her. "Are you gonna turn into a royal pain, Adam?"

I find out that my already messed up life is gonna be even more messed up about an hour ago. My father sold me off to Princess Jessica just to unite Empires. He's up to something and Princess Jessica is a spoiled brat. I've met her before, I rather jump off a cliff because if I do marry her, my freedom is gone. I can't command the Skaldia Special Forces anymore, who are basically all my friends. Jason Probst, Ian Stapleton, Ross Owner, and Red Vactor. Alesa touches my arm.

"Listen, it might help if you opened up--"

"I'm fine and I'm not hungry. I got to go." I said retreating from her.

"Adam." Alesa said. I freeze when I see my father walk in.

"That's Prince to you, servant. Don't make me remind you where your place is." He snapped as he walked pass me. I turn my hands in fists almost letting out the threat growing in my mind. Alesa has been there for me, she has been the only one and I haven't deserved it at all. My father has never been there for me, Alesa has.

My father has always been a power-hungry bastard and treated me like a tool in his arsenal, but these past two months have been the worst. He mistreats everyone, including the citizens. I don't care if I am mistreated, I care about Skaldia and what disaster he is heading it towards, which is poverty and famine. We have also had food and water problems, but now it's like Skaldia is hanging on by a thread. And me and my friends went from the Skaldia Special Forces Team, helping the military and carrying out jobs given from my father, to trying to keep this empire alive and finding out what my father is up too. I just want to protect the people, my father has no interest anymore about what could happen to them.

"We must speak, alone." My father said to me. Alesa walk pass me, I see a sympathetic look on her face directed towards me as she leaves. I turn around, looking at him.

"What?" I ask.

"Where is your bodyguard? He--"

"His name is Ian." I said. He grabs my arm, yanking him towards me slightly.

"I don't care. You need to get your nose out of my business." He said. I clench my fists.

"Your business involves this kingdom, so it involves me which makes it my business as well. And not to mention you are marrying me off to Princess Jessica so I think I am involved." I snapped. I yank my arm out of his grip and back up.

"For the good of Skaldia." He said. I chuckle.

"For the good of Skaldia? You haven't given a thought of the people in months, my friends and I are the ones who have been taking care of the citizens. So don't try to convince me you have a heart when you have none at all." I said. I turn from him and leave. I stop, almost crashing into Alesa. I stare at her and she does the same.

"You okay?" She asks me. I look away from her and walk away, not answering her.
