today on a walk
i noticed for a moment
there were a lot of
roly polys around campus
and that i might have
accidentally been
squishing them on the
long trek upwards
and i felt a little sentimental
not because of the bugs
but because it was the first time
i had noticed the bugs
underneath my feet
in a very long time
it made sense that
this is the most peace
i've ever had in a
very very long time
because hell, i might be lonely
but i had the time to walk
and not be late for something
and notice for once
the life forms crawling
underneath my feet
chasing me to my
regular destinations
