The party was a tad lackluster. I didn't even see Badger that much because he was busy helping Eve with herbal mixes- or something like that. I never paid much attention in my Botany lessons with her.

I stuck by the drink counter. I mostly talked to Saira, and by the end of the night we were dancing together on the dance floor. She is quite the dancer I came to find that night.

By 1am we were too tired to continue, and I went back to my bunker to prepare for the hangover that would be welcoming me in the morning.

Training the next day was rough, but I managed to do decent. Liri had us doing suicides, those horrible exercises where you run back and forth, further and further each time. It would've been fine if we weren't carrying heavy weights the entire time.

After that it was to the med bay to make sure my vitals were perfect. That had become routine now.

"Welcome back, Mitah!" Briar hollers as I enter. I feel my face flush a little at her enthusiasm.

"Thank you." I say quietly, and Badger enters the room to collect me.

"I feel like I have cancer or something." I say, and Badger turns to me with wide eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"I've never visited the med bay so much in my life. It feels like I have some uncurable disease, and you must monitor me-"

"Ha, no you're just a super weapon they need in tip top shape."

"Well, when you say it like that it sounds insane."

Badger snickers and grabs a stethoscope. He sets the end on my chest, and I instantly feel my heart speed up.

"You're making me nervous." I say, and he looks at me, dumbfounded.

"I always check your heart rate."

"It's different this time because we are together. And you look very nice." I ramble, feeling my heart get even faster. Badger just focuses on listening, but I can tell my words have hit him.

"Just take deep breaths for me." He says, but the way he says for me has me stepping back. flustered.

"I can't do this. Maybe I need someone else to get my vitals." I say honestly, and Badger steps back. His face is saddened by my suggestion.

"But I've always helped you."

"That was before... everything." I say, letting out a deep breath. "I don't mean to upset you, but I need to make sure everything's good and you being here skews with my vitals."

"I understand, Mitah. Do you still want me in the room?"

"Of course. I just can't have you touching me."

"Bummer." Badger stuck his tongue out and called in another healer to take my vitals.
