Meeting
"Hey," Alec smiled. Dina turned from her painting of the meadow before her. She grinned when she saw Alec.
"Hey," she replied.
Alec walked around her painting for a moment. She was always talented with art, and Alec had always liked that about her. She shifted on her feet. "Do you like it?"
"I always like your art, Dina," Alec answered, looking at the blots of yellow the adorned the verdant grass of the painted field. Dina smiled softly.
"So what are you doing today?" She asked.
"Oh uh... I have a thing tonight..." Alec said awkwardly. He couldn't tell her. She wouldn't understand. He barely understood it himself.
"A thing? Cuz I was gonna ask... if we could... never mind," she said, a little embarrassed.
Shit, Alec thought to himself. "No, it's not that important-" "Another time," she waved him away.
Alec smiled. "Sorry," he said sincerely.
Alec sat down on a rock near her and watched her paint. They talked every now and then, but the mostly existed in a comfortable silence. Alec smiled softly as he watched her, her blonde hair shone in the sunlight. She was truly beautiful and anyone could see that.
Most people assumed her and Alec were betrothed (which was usually followed up by hurried apologies for assuming). No, they were just friends, though Alec wouldn't complain if they were something more. He just didn't want to be disrespectful and pressure her into something she didn't want.
It wasn't as if Alec was some kind of anxious virgin, he had sex before, but in Heaven women were typically owned by men, and Alec would prefer letting her have her freedom unless she approached him. He could wait. He had thousands of years left anyway.
Alec's mind eventually wandered to the demons. He kept thinking about them - he swore he was OCD or something because they were almost an obsession. Alec would never dream of skipping out on time with Dina, yet for some reason he felt like making an exception for Lucifer. Which was stupid. Very stupid.
And his mind kept wandering to the chains. Alec at first didn't ruminate on it but now it was inextricably linked to Lucifer. Which, Alec didn't know why that specific aspect intrigued him, it just did. Whatever. It didn't anything.
None of it meant anything.
"Alec?" Dina's voice brought him from his thoughts. "I'm done."
"Fantastic," Alec replied, getting up to leave.
---
Gabriel winked at Alec when he saw he and Dina returning together. The long haired angel shot Gabe a glare. Gabriel laughed as he passed them. Alec would get her eventually, he knew, but if Alec weren't so goddamn un-confrontational it would've already happened.
Gabriel, because he was royalty, had full access to the Palace. Which also meant he could just walk into his parents' room any time he wanted.
"Mom?" He said as he cracked open the door, He was always deathly terrified of walking into his parents having sex. He never has, of course, her and the King were discreet about that kind of stuff. But still, that's life scarring.
"Hey, honey," she was propped up on her satin bed reading a book. Gabe sat down next to her on the bed. She could tell he had something on his mind.
"What is it?" She asked after he started to play with his hands awkwardly.
Gabe sighed. "Do you think I'm ever going to find a queen?" He asked. That threw her for a loop.
"Gabe-" "Because I just can't," Gabe said sadly. She frowned. She knew dating was hard for him ever since what happened with his beloved Sariel.
"You know it's not a requirement of being King," she pointed out.
"Yeah but, it's kinda expected of me."
She shifted so that she was sitting right next to him. "You and your brother were blessings when we adopted you. You know that Julius is incapable of children - if it's passing the line on then you have nothing to worry about. Marriage and biological children aren't imperative."
Gabriel snorted. "Lucifer a blessing, yeah right."
She frowned. "It isn't good to hold hate in your heart, for anyone, for any reason, Gabey," She said softly. She seemed to be the only angel with the heart for forgive her son. Not even King was capable.
Gabriel sighed. "I know," he replied. She was right. Hate was what darkness thrived off, the antithesis to the light.
She ran her hand along his back, playing with the tightly wound dreadlocks that fell to his shoulders. "I wonder when I'll be King," Gabe pondered aloud.
"When my husband dies," she replied. Gabe frowned. He couldn't imagine crownings being that exciting immediately following the death of a King.
Gabe stood. "Welp I gotta go. Go find me a bitch-" "Gabriel, don't call women that," she scolded.
Gabriel laughed. "Kidding, mom," he bent down and kissed her head before exiting.

Lucifer tasted like the heat of a thousand suns, and he was just as intense. Charles felt the Dark Lord's claws sink into his flesh and a wet hot tongue run up his neck.
"Ah- ah-" "Shhhhh," Lucifer hushed him, fangs grazing his jugular.
Lucifer had him in a compromising position against the harsh cobblestone of one of the corridors. Lucifer, frankly, did not give two shits about someone seeing them; most demons that knew him had seen him naked at one point or another.
Besides, it wasn't if they were having sex. Charles was pretty sure Lucifer wanted to abuse him then leave him there. To put it simply, Lucifer was a terrible insatiable sadist, and he revelled in it.
Charles made a noise that was between a moan and a scream as he felt Lucifer's fangs sink into his neck. His hips snapped against the wolf's and he groaned against his neck. "You fucker," Charles hissed as Lucifer began to drink the blood pooling from the wound.
Lucifer's hands roamed Charles' chest under his tunic, leaving little nicks with his claws. He wanted to make sure the demon felt it.
"This hurt?" Lucifer said breathlessly.
"Yes," Charles growled.
"Good."
Just then they heard a squeak. Lucifer froze, slowly turning his head to the noise. A small, fat, fluffy white goat was standing in the end of the hallway. Lucifer's face instantly lit up like a puppy, like he wasn't just trying to sadistically dominate Charles 10 seconds ago.
"Benny!" Lucifer chirped, dropping Charles and scampering off to his goat. Benny frumped to Lucifer, bell collar jingling, and jumped into his open arms. Charles watched the sight of the large demon cradling the tiny goat as if he were his whole world. He was purring so loudly that Charles could hear it from 20 feet away.
"Um, we were busy," Charles gritted his teeth.
"That can wait, you whore," Lucifer said in the most sing-songy voice. "Right now little Benny Boo needs my attention."
Charles huffed and blew a strand of long silver hair from his face. Benny squeaked again and Lucifer set him down before the little goat transformed into a hefty humanoid goat demon. "Lucifer," Benny huffed. Transforming required a lot of effort for him. "I wish to go to the bakery, but I'm afraid of going alone."
"Aw Benny," Lucifer cooed, rubbing the goat's cloud of hair. "Of course I will accompany you."
"Lucifer," Charles hissed. Lucifer looked over at him and raised his eyebrows.
"Go get your dick wet somewhere else Charles, geeze, Benny is like five thousand times more important than you," Lucifer huffed, leading Benny along the hallway. Charles growled angrily as they passed.
---
Benny was staring wide eyes at the colorful displays of cupcakes, cookies, and cakes. Lucifer waiting patiently, hands in the pockets of his hoodie. Benny preferred pastries from the Human World, and who was Lucifer to deny him of that?
Demons weren't technically allowed to be in the Human World. Heaven forbade it, but that didn't stop Lucifer from visiting using a small rift he created from time to time.
Benny tugged on Lucifer's sleeve. "I want that one," he said shyly, pointing to a bright pink cupcake. Lucifer chuckled. Benny was technically Lucifer's pet, thus he wore a collar to mark his ownership and always asked Lucifer for permission for things. Lucifer thought it was the cutest thing in the world. He loved Benny above all other things.
As they walked from the colorful bakey, Benny was munching on his cake. Lucifer watched him, smiling brightly. He had not a care in the world.
Benny yipped as Lucifer suddenly yanked him into an alleyway. "Wha-" "Shut up," Lucifer said in a hushed tone, peeking around the corner.
Benny slowly looked to where Lucifer was. He saw a tall, dark skinned man looking in one of the windows. Benny felt like he knew him from something, but he wasn't quite sure where. Then it clicked.
"Gabriel?" Benny said in a questioning tone.
Lucifer was incredibly tense. Surely Gabriel could sense them? Lucifer could sense his brother for sure, but Gabriel hadn't seemed to have noticed them.
If he did, they were screwed.
"What the Hell is he doing on earth?" Lucifer wondered aloud. Gabriel was Prince for Christ's sake. Shouldn't he be doing Prince-y things or something?
"Maybe he wants cupcakes too?" Benny said innocently. Lucifer gave him a little smile.
"Gabriel is too heartless for cupcakes, I'm afraid," Lucifer replied. He grabbed Benny by the hand and lead him from the alleyway. "Don't look up, walk quickly," Lucifer whispered, weaving him through the people passing by on the streets.
Gabriel turned around and- "What the..." he said as he saw his brother and his pet booking it down the street. He outstretched his hand and froze them in place. A few humans gave them weird looks at the abrupt stop, but other than that no one found the sudden use of magic noticeable.
Gabriel quickly made his way over to the duo. "What in God's name..." he groaned. Lucifer tried to give his brother a friendly smile. Key word: tried. It came out more as a scowl.
"It's illegal for you two to be here," Gabe snapped. Lucifer growled slightly.
"Benny wanted a cupcake."
"I find that hard to believe, you have cupcakes in Hell don't you?"
"They're not as good, asshole."
The angel narrowed his eyes. "You're probably here to steal another human for you to torture," Gabe said accusingly.
"He. Wanted. A. Fucking. Cupcake," Lucifer growled.
Gabriel put his hand on his hip. "Give me one good reason I shouldn't lock you up."
"Because... why are you here?" The demon asked.
"I... have a date," Gabriel answered.
Gabriel cringed at the excited "OOOOOOOOOO" that came out of his brother's mouth. "With a human? You sly dog!"
Sometimes Gabriel wondered if Lucifer remembered they were supposed to hate each other.
"It would be quite rude if you left her alone just to arrest us for getting food," Lucifer said. "Let us go, and we can pretend like this whole thing didn't happen."
Gabriel narrowed his eyes. "If I catch you again-" "Yeah yeah, I get it. Let us go," Lucifer cut him off. Gabriel sighed and released his hold. Lucifer grabbed Benny and ran off, flipping off Gabe as he went.
Gabriel stood there for a moment. That was the first almost positive interaction he had with Lucifer since they were in Heaven together. Almost made him miss the demon. Almost.
---
Alec felt guilty. He felt as if his stomach would eat him alive as he walked to Levi Woods. He had never willingly broken a law like this before, and here he was. There's a first for everything right?
He wasn't even sure Lucifer would even be there. It's not like Alec would be a top priority to the demon anyway, and Alec would almost feel relieved if he didn't show up.
The moonlight gleaned through the trees branches above. The air smelled crisp. He could see why Lucifer liked coming here. From what he's heard of Hell, it smelled like sulfur and it was sweltering. It didn't sound pleasant.
He approached the pond he had visited last week. He assumed Lucifer would be near here considering that's where he was last time, but this forest was huge. It was anyone's guess as to where the demon was, or if he was even here at all.
"You came," Alec jumped at a familiar deep voice. Lucifer emerged from the shadows cloaked in a black fabric. Were all demons required to wear black? Alec didn't know.
"Yes," Alec replied. Lucifer smiled, travelling to log. He sat down, patting the spot next to him.
Alec sat down next to the demon, making sure to keep a couple feet away. He didn't exactly trust him.
Lucifer watched Alec with curious eyes. His tongue darted out to lick his lips, perhaps a nervous habit. "Why did you want to see me again?" Alec asked.
"Because I find you interesting," Lucifer replied. Alec blinked. What was that supposed to mean?
"Why did you come?" Lucifer asked. Honestly, he wasn't expecting this to happen.
"I dunno," Alec looked down. "I don't know why I just... did." He shifted uncomfortably, still feeling guilty.
Lucifer's tail flicked from side to side. "You can ask me anything," Lucifer murmured. Alec studied Lucifer's face. He was carefully watching the angel as if he had walked right into a trap.
"Why did you do what you did?" Alec blurted. Hell, he was so curious. Lucifer's tail tucked up onto his lap.
"Demons were being treated unfairly," he replied.
"So that means revolting?" Alec asked.
Lucifer sighed. "They were confined to an area called the Badlands. Except me, of course, but I wasn't always a demon. Then... fucking Julius had the nerve to try and wipe them out for good," Lucifer growled.
"Why?" Alec asked.
"I had become acquaintances with a few of them an he was afraid of me being corrupted," the demon answered.
"Weren't you, though?" Alec found himself asking. Lucifer chuckled dryly, and Alec became afraid he asked a bad question.
"It depends what you classify as corrupted. Personally, I don't think I did anything wrong. It's not like I went out of my way to hurt anyone. It's not like King is any more innocent than me anyway."
What does he mean by that? Alec wondered. Lucifer scooted a little closer to Alec. "I did exactly what you're doing right now," the demon murmured.
Alec felt a shiver run up his spine. Lucifer gave him a little smile. "How's Gabriel," sensing Alec's discomfort, he changed the subject.
"Oh he's good. He's been taking more responsibility lately," Alec replied. Lucifer had a warm smile on his face. Alec expected him to be jealous or something, but he seemed almost proud of his brother.
"That's good. He's gotta be prepared before his dad dies," Lucifer said. "Not saying that will happen any time soon," he added when fear flashed across Alec's face.
"Who's Charles?" Alec asked.
"My friend. He was an heir long before me," Lucifer replied. Two demon heirs? Alec wondered to himself.
"Oh, I thought he was like... your pet or boyfriend or something," Alec mumbled. Lucifer smiled widely at his assumptions.
"I would love for him to be my pet, but he adamantly refuses," Lucifer replied. Alec's face contorted into disgust.
"What?" The demon asked.
"Pets are... gross," Alec muttered. "It's a form of slavery."
"You can look at it like that sure, but you would be surprised as the amount of people willingly giving themselves up to it," Lucifer replied.
Alec almost laughed. "What kind of psychopath would willingly do that?"
Lucifer shrugged. "People who want to get me out of the arrangement."
Alec's gaze fell on Lucifer again. He was quite muscular and his face was well cut. He could see why someone... no no, don't think like that. He shuddered.
Lucifer smirked. The little angel's face was slightly flushed. Cute. "You keep checking me out," Lucifer couldn't hide the arrogance in his voice. Alec's eyes widened and his face went a familiar shade of red.
"No!" He protested. Lucifer chuckled.
"You're quite cute," he said. Alec buried his face in his hands. Lucifer put his hand on Alec's shoulder and he flinched. Lucifer moved his hand under Alec's chin and forced him to look at him.
Alec was still blushing. Lucifer found him undoubtedly irresistible. He knew the attraction was purely physical; he barely knew the angel. Most of his attractions, however, were purely physical, and for Lucifer that's all it needed to be.
Alec was frozen under the weight of Lucifer's gaze. The demon stared at him like he were prey, and Alec started to get the feeling this was a horrible idea. Alec pushed Lucifer's hand away slowly.
"I shouldn't have came," Alec said, scooting away. Lucifer quickly followed him, tail wrapping around Alec's legs to stop him.
"But you did anyway. Why?" Lucifer inquired. Alec squirmed under the tight grip of the scaley demon tail.
"I just can't stop thinking about you," Alec said quietly, timidly, submissively. Lucifer emitted a low growl.
"And I you," he replied.
Alec shrank down as Lucifer put and arm around the smaller angel, pulling him close. Alec tried to struggle away, but Lucifer's grip was tight. Alec could feel the demon's heart beat, his breathing, the warmth emitting from his chest. Eventually Alec let himself relax, and he suddenly felt an overwhelming feeling of safety against the large demon's side. Lucifer's tail lightly stroked Alec's thigh in soothing motions.
Lucifer smiled when he felt Alec put his weight against him. He smelled exquisite. Demons in general had a heightened sense of smell and often found pleasure in pleasant smelling things.
"Have you ever been to the human world?" Lucifer murmured. Alec shook his head.
"I should take you sometime," the demon said. Alec's eyes widened.
"I thought demons weren't allowed there - I'm not even allowed there," Alec said. Lucifer looked down at the little angel and smiled.
"It can be our little secret," he purred, rubbing his cheek on Alex's head much like a cat to its littermates. Alec had to admit he was curious. He always wanted to see what humans were like, and he had never seen anyone in old age due to the fact angels don't age past a certain point.
"I'll be here tomorrow," Lucifer said, suddenly standing up. "If you would like to accompany me, meet me hear some time in the evening."
This was a horrible idea, Alec told himself. He shouldn't be so trusting of him. Why was he so trusting of him. This is bad, this is bad, this is bad.
"Ok," Alec replied.
