Chapter 9 (Allies) Part 1

Dreadlord pointed down at the figure rising from the rubble, "Should we kill it?" Steve looked closer at this one survivor.

     It was Alex.

I don't have the boldening setting for the words that Herobrine speaks right now, so I'm going to have to use "" "" instead.

""Yes.."" He smiled with such a wicked smile. Alex's eyes widened, horrified by this sudden turn in someone she had been growing to trust. The robed skeleton, sword drawn, began walking towards the human. "I mean, no!" Steve suddenly decided against, his voice returning to normal. ""I mean yes!"" "No! Don't"

"Oh for crying out loud, make up your mind! I didn't decide to follow for this nonsense!" Dreadlord grew annoyed quickly. Alex room that moment to throw one of the rocks that had fallen at the skeleton man's back. The wolf hybrid growled, pulling a dagger from his fur. He sliced the air between Alex and his friend, barely missing her face. The human grabbed another rock and threw it at him. She jumped into the tallest mound of rocks and tossed one after another at the two attempting to give chase as she slowly made her way to the large hole in the roof it lead to. Steve, not having a stance whether she should live or die, simply watched to see things would turn out, hoping the decision would be made for him.

It was. Alex jumped through the hole and vanished in the sunlight. The two chasing her growled as she escaped, rubbing the bruises she had left with them.

"Never mind her." Steve spoke up, easing the two's conscience.

"Then what are we to do? On what path will your rampage follow?!" The skeleton man asked, already eager for more. The wolf man nodded with enthusiasm to match. Clearly they liked the idea of meaningless chaos.

"I...will have to think about it some more.. We should probably hide until then."

"Hide?! Those players were no match for you! Why should you hide?!" Dreadlord was obviously confused.

""It isn't the players I am afraid of."" Shifting yet again to his darker toned voice, ""Come on... If we intend to plan for our next attack, I say we hide away until word of me dies down."

"Understood." And with that, Herobrine opened up a portal to an empty world the three could hide away in in the meantime.

----------------------

Alex was utterly confused. Did he want to kill her or did he not?! She ran from the prison she had been held in for so long, yet the joy that should have been there was instead emptiness. She had no idea where to go, how to get there, or even how she would survive in this world with so many against her. Unlike Herobrine, she didn't have a way of making portals, meaning she was stuck.

And what on earth was going on with Herobrine back there?! It was almost as if she had been possessed or something! He was a malfunction too, right? Some random avatar of a long deleted account suddenly given a life of it's own just because the universe felt like it! Was he not? Was he, possibly..something more than that?

Before he arrived, Alex had heard something about a "ghost in the game," which sounded like something you'd only hear about in scary ci-fi stories about robots taking over the world. Was it possible he was something like that, whatever THAT even was? Of course there was no way of knowing, as she ran away from the answers in an attempt at survival. Maybe figuring stuff out was tomorrow's job. Today, she just had to make sure she would never be found and captured by players again.

Wee-oo. Wee-oo. This was all I could think of for this chapter. I have officially gone braindead, but wanted to at least share this. I'll probably make a part 2 to this chapter just because it is so short. Thanks for your patience, and byeeee!
