【The Dagon Family】

"The Royal Family"

Royal Crest

The First King

The first king of the underground was ex-general, Fitch Dagon. During the Dishonest Battle against non-magic humans, this man proved to be an incredible leader and became a favorite among his people. Once forced underground, they held a mini candidacy, in which General Dagon won. While he was a great general, he wasn't a very great king. During his time in ruling, he developed a court system, akin to that of the House of Representatives and Supreme for the United States, but made specifically to carry out duties the king wasn't really qualified for. In a way, King Dagon was much like Queen Elizabeth was. Just a face for a pretty expansive government system.
Despite his shortcomings as a king, his people did love him, and he did have great leadership for his court members. King Fitch Dagon had a son, destined for the throne, and arranged to marry a girl from another family. In fact, it was the opponent's family. It was why the Dagon's were allowed to keep the crown even after the death of the first king.
During his ruling, King Dagon oversaw many projects in the Underground, including the building of Alexander's Shire, Wildebelle, and the castle he and his family were to reside in. He also helped map out the safest routes for his people to take and helped in the expansion process of the underground. Before his untimely death, King Dagon worked on his final project, the Teleportation Buildings, which used the highest concentration of Light Magic available to him at the time.
Fitch Dagon passed away from an illness that swept the underground, which had been caused by a distinct lack of sunlight and clean air. His throne was temporarily taken over by his chosen Royal Court until his son was old enough to take the throne. After his death, a statue had been constructed in his honor, with some of his accomplishments as the Underground's first king.

King Alexander

King Alexander was sworn to the throne at the age of sixteen. Alexander gained much of an education and was taught the important leadership skills he maintains today from his father's previous Royal Court. He was a young king, and still had to have a lot of help to rule. Alexander was a very beloved young man, and his people adored him.
Alexander and his first wife, Zira, had a publicized fake wedding at a young age, where they first properly met. This was done to provide the kingdom hope for a better and brighter future. This also provided a better introduction to the two child marriage candidate, who instantly gained a liking for one another. Alexander was often described by his first wife to have a golden heart with a dedicated mind for his people. As children, the two just became very close friends, which strengthened their bond once they were finally old enough to properly marry. The king was often very romantic to his wife and spoiled her to no end.
When Queen Zira took in two orphaned human babies, his nurturing side came through at full force. He was a very doting father figure to the two girls, and it helped better human and monster relationships all throughout the underground. When his first biological son (and only child with Zira) was born, he carried on his fatherly duties as best any guy could. His love for his kids carried on through the years, even after the tragic loss of his wife and human daughter, Rosetta. After the death of his first wife, Alexander's outlook on life seemed to dim greatly, which, in turn, made the kingdom ache. Upon seeing how depressed his people had been over his loss, he took it upon himself to hurriedly marry and provide his people new hope for the future. With this, he launched Project Primary, which his human daughter became a part of. He took in another human for the project, and remarried to a hybrid monster, Queen Aradia. After a lack of finding the final human, the project was placed on hold and two new children were born from the king's new marriage. While Alexander didn't hold as much love for his new wife as he did his previous, he still did his part to make her comfortable and enjoy his company. He was still very well liked by his people, even with the struggles of freedom and the lack of visits from his royal highness.
Once Project Primary was picked back up by the final human stumbling into the underground, the barrier on the surface was finally broken. The underground people were now free. This did mean the king had to retire his crown and see his new wife leave him upon losing their royal status. In his now retired royal state, Alexander carries on his taught leadership and political skills to work alongside surface humans to strengthen relationships between the underground people and surface humans.

Queen Zira V. Queen Aradia

Queen Zira was very well loved by her people. She was talented, humble, and rather kind hearted towards everyone. Her and Alexander's marriage brought boundless happiness to the underground people, even when freedom felt too out of reach. King Alexander often described her as a rare gem, and she wore that title proudly with her family. Despite her untimely death protecting her human daughter, Rosetta, from falling rubble, her legacy lives on with her remaining family members and even the lessons she taught to those she had been close to.
Queen Aradia, however, was not very well liked. Others felt she was too snobby and hard to get along with. It didn't help that she came from a rough lineage of sillombre-kokya demons and only gained the title as 'queen' through a rushed marriage. It becomes rather apparent throughout the years that Aradia only cares about the fame and money that comes from being the wife of the king, especially with her lack of care towards any of her children or the people she was supposed to help lead. The only good quality anyone can admit she had is her talent in leadership, often being able to take the wheel whenever Alexander gets sick to look over plans for the kingdom. Once the royal family was disbanded, she and the ex-king divorced, and now she's currently in a relationship with another powerful individual.

The Human Children

The humans were mainly taken care of by Alexander and a caretaker android, 025 (lovingly named Sweets by the children).
Octavia the eldest out of the Primary Project humans. Her Soul color is Blue, representing Aptitude. She's often described as a quiet, shy girl with little to say to others, much like her mother figure. However, with her lack of words often comes forward a more rebellious and edgy persona in her clothing and mannerisms. She does good to mask it behind her royal outfits and in front of people she's not too close to, but around those she feels comfortable around, she enjoys being herself. Octavia is a big sister type to the other human children, even if they get on her last nerves. Despite having lost her twin sister in a tragic way, Octavia really doesn't hold many memories with her, and believes she might've blocked them out. She loves her father figure and old mother figure, but doesn't care too deeply about Aradia.
James is the second eldest of the Primary Project humans. His Soul color is Yellow, representing Faith. James was born a girl named Ava to an otherwise poor and struggling single mother. However, despite this, James grew up feeling very disconnected with his body and struggled a lot with fitting in. Once he was given up by his mother to the Dagon family, he was better equipped with the tools to help him figure himself out. James is best described to be a nurturing and caring soul, with some emotional issues regarding abandonment (and gender dysphoria). He looks exactly how he acts, very prim and soft. James looks up to Octavia and often seeks out her advice. James is easily intimidated by Alexander, but still loves him dearly. James doesn't interact with Aradia enough to really form an opinion on her, and he didn't get to know Zira.
Elijah is the youngest of the Primary Project humans. His Soul color is Red, representing Willpower. He didn't get to be in the underground for very long, nor did he get much of a chance to experience the royal life (not that he wanted to-). He's been described to be a headstrong, angry kid, with sentimental attachments towards a ring he kept from his time on the surface. Elijah is relatively tame around his new 'sibling' humans, but avoids Alexander and Aradia as much as possible. He's very rough and tumble, and wants others to know he's not to be messed with, even though he can and will cry if messed with himself. All bark, no bite kind of kid.
Finally, we have Rosetta, who passed on way too young. She didn't get a chance to grow up, but those who knew her when she was young could say she was a loving and sweet girl. A mischievous girl, yes, but she had the kindness of intentions.

The Biological Children

The biological children of Alexander and his two wives had a similar structure of care and love the humans received. They all did grow up under the same roof with the same treatment.
Saphir is the eldest son of the biological children, and is the only son of Zira. He inherited much of his mothers looks while gaining the mane of his father. Saphir is a rather calm, stoic monster, and was respected by his peers. While it was unknown if he was going to be in an arranged marriage or not like his father, much less if he was going to take on the crown, the underground people were happy to have him as a prince. Saphir never speaks much on his mother or the relationship they had, as he couldn't remember many details. However, he carries fond thoughts of her, and speaks highly about her whenever asked. He adores his human siblings, especially his elder sister, Octavia. They both bond over many shared interests and overall enjoy each other's company. Saphir does end up in several failed relationships, especially once on the surface, but he ends up with one ex-celebrity that he marries.
Irina and Rosie are both twin girls, daughters of Aradia. They both act very similarly, even as adults. The key difference being that Irina took on more of her mother's need for luxury and the good life, while Rosie enjoys letting life carry her forward. Both of them get along very well with each other and their father. They even enjoy their human siblings. The girls are often described as sociable and rather energetic. They're just as well liked as the rest of their family.
