Coming of age will only be effective on those who have royal blood.

A specific age for current and future rulers will be the trigger of the increase in their powers.

The coming of age, however, can cause a lot of pain before they reach their birth date.

They would get cautious, anxious, sensitive, and sometimes, uncontrollable. They had to isolate themselves because of that.

They might possibly harm innocent people, kill them even if they stay out in the open.

They will go berserk.

One way to tell that royal blood is coming of age is their physicality.

Their eyes could change, hair, presence, and even their appearances. There were times when people couldn't recognize their own ruler. 

Werewolves and mermaids especially must be isolated for they cannot control themselves when coming to age.

They will lose control of the increasing of their Mana and powers, including their own hormones as well, so it really is required for the two species to be isolated.

For the rest, they could either have a little control over themselves or basically, isolate themselves as well.

The age is not specific to many people for it is different for every kind. 

That's how Eleni found herself stuck in her room. The little boy and girl staying by the door to avoid her from escaping.

"Big sister, do you need anything?" The little boy asks, seeing her eyes turn red once again.

She glares at him, making her way towards him quickly. Eva reaches her hand out, able to make a barrier to trap her in.

"I'm sorry, Big sister Leni but you have to stay here." Evanora says, frowning at the sight of Eleni.

"Evenore, could you?" The little girl says, Evenore nodded. With a snap of his finger, blue smoke starts to appear in the barrier Eleni was in.

She collapses, her coming to age body could not handle the almost impossible to stop sleeping spell.

"Her birth date is still months away, Evenore. How could we handle this? We'll be the ones growing tired of it!" Evanora says, still keeping the barrier.

The little boy sighs, keeping the blue smoke in the barrier.

"We need to restrain her or else that vision we saw will happen." Evenore says, snapping his fingers again as he grows taller, as well as older.

He walks closer to Eleni, entering the barrier before picking her up. He gently places her on the bed, caressing her hair before getting out of the barrier.

The two growing concerned with what could happen to Eleni.

Coming of age is basically an advantage for people to want to kill the royal blood.

If they go berserk, most likely nothing could stop them. They will be bloodthirst for everything they see and touch, taking people's powers and add them to their Mana.

The only way to stop them from going berserk is basically just isolating them, leave them alone until their birth date, or have other rulers restrain them.

"Then we need to ask for help."

There was another choice, however...

Be coronated as a new ruler.

The king returns the book to its place, hearing the loud and rushed footsteps behind him.

"My king, Kwon Eleni has finally reached her age. What shall we do?" The male asks, making the king freeze on his place.

'It's finally time, the future shall not happen.'

"Is there something we could do to lessen her Mana? It might get too dangerous." The king asks, turning around.

His eyes bloodshot red, the other avoids eye contact.

"We could isolate her, or let the other rulers help her, or give the current queen of dragons' power to stable her uncontrollable Mana." The other says,

"Is there another method?" The king walks pass him, wanting to exit the library to avoid the dark atmosphere.

"Another way? To kill her, your majesty."

"Then we'll take two of those methods. Send the other rulers a letter about Eleni's coming to age, this will get messy."
