3rd Person's POV

As both Elizabeth and Michael were busy with college, so do the warlocks who were waiting for her to reveal her true self. They have long been keeping an eye on her to unveil her utmost powers and take her into their world.

Elizabeth also has begun doubting the people around her ever since she read her late father's note.

Never trust anyone wholeheartedly.

Always follow your instincts.

Those words rang in her head every time she found herself laughing and having fun with Alodia and Desiree Suarez. She also learned to socialize and deal with equally humored guys like Noel and Benedict Thames.

While she found happiness and comfort in them, Michael remained the quiet one in their group. He would occasionally nod and giggle but it would take a great time to get his weakness. That fact alone amuses Elizabeth.

Oftentimes, they locked gazes and eventually, avoided each other. But all that fades away when their friends come around. Dead air doesn't seem to stay too long around them.

What intrigues Michael more was how his heart could pound erratically whenever he caught sight of her smile and twinkling eyes. Its as if he was in trance and her voice sends him to sleep.

Apart from her long eyelashes, pointed nose and almond eyes, it was her full lips that attracted him the most. At first, he thought that it was because of the way she talks and addresses them but as time passes by, he was just simply swept away.

"Ano na ang balita? Bakit hindi ka na nagrereport sa akin?" The warlock's counsel roared at one of his minions named Drusus who was standing at his side.

"Wala pa ho. Hindi pa siya nagpapakawala ng kapangyarihan niya sa publiko na pwedeng magpatunay na siya ang hinahanap natin." Drusus, his minion, answered without looking at their head counsel.

"Hindi pa? O sadyang tatanga-tanga ka lang at hindi mo nasubaybayan?" The head counsel yelled in frustration. "Alaric!"

A tall guy with chiseled chest and buff arms clad in his grey clothing approached him when he was called, "Master."

"Keep an eye on her. Hanggat maaari, wag mong lulubayan ang tingin sa kanya. Look for some proof that she is who we are searching for. We have to find out the book and cage her here." The head counsel growled and clenched on his throne's armrest. "Hindi tayo pwedeng maunahan ni Maru!"

"Yes, Master." Alaric simply said, his originally red eyes turned to a normal shade of brown as he began to adapt to the norms of the earth.

In a matter of minutes, Alaric vanished from their hideout.

Having stayed underground for a long time, he forgot how it feels like to be out for some time. That's why when he got his mission, he didn't object like he used to.

Suddenly, he felt a gust of wind enveloping his system and realized that he needs to change clothes to be able to adapt to the normal world. Given his stern and masculine body, he could count as a working guy than a teenager who was lost in the campus.

He heard noise from the road as a group of teenagers were laughing as they passed by the huge trees leading to the shoreline and the sandy seashore where he appeared earlier. He scurried to a small hut and hid himself from them.

As if it was planned, he saw blue sando and a khaki board shorts hanging on a hamper just outside the house beside the sea. He grabbed it and changed immediately. He was glad that it suited him just right.

Then rain began heavily pouring out and the family living inside the house started to get out to take the clothes which were hanging outside.

"Bilisan mo dyan, anak! Ang mga sinampay, jusko!" Her mother yelled and Alaric hid himself and at the same time peeked to see them frantic and in a hurry.

"Opo, Ma!" A shrill voice said and a lady in her teens went out of their backdoor. She started pulling out the clothes and bottoms from the clothesline and went inside.

"Asan na? Naku! Tuyo na pala itong mga to!" Her mother asked and she approached her daughter to get the clothes from outside.

Out of nowhere, Alaric sneezed and the daughter turned around hoping to see someone. He hid himself immediately and she frowned.

"Weird." She muttered and closed the back door.

Alaric knew that he needs to find a place to stay. Fast.
