Two days before marriage,

Guys are sitting inside a room deeply discussing about the arrangement and the girls are sitting in the hall.

Sivaangi' s mother came and started the conversation.. 

S.Mother- "Sivaangi naan solratha nalla gavanichuko.." (Sivaangi listen carefully... )

Sivaangi- "sollu ma" (yes ma)

S.Mother- "kalyana vaalkai nrathu..." (Actually marriage is, )

Madhu- "advice ah aunty.." (are you going to give advice?)

Malini- "kalyanathuku munnadi ponna bayamuruthuvangale, atha panna poreengalaa?" (Like scaring a bride before the marriage day.). They all laughed. 

S.Mother- "illa ma, sila ragasiyam solla porren." (No, I am going to tell some secrets.)

Madhu- "sollunga aunty nangalum ketukarom" (tell us aunty, we will hear)

S.Mother- "purushanoda ella thevayum munnadi ellam pondatti than senjutu iruntha.. ipo athu ellam pen adimai ah pochu" (In the past, a wife would perform all of a husband's necessary responsibilities. But, you now perceive those as female slaves.)

Madhu- "appo illaingureengala?" (Do you oppose that?)

S.Mother laughed and said, "Madhu kannu, oru ponna paiyan than nalla rasipan athe polla oru paiyana ponnu thaan nalla rasippa. purushan potukura sattai la irunthu katura watch nu ellame eduthu kodukurathu ellam athu mari avugala pakura asaila thaan" (Madhu, Typically, a girl will admire a boy more than a boy, and vice versa. To appreciate her husband in that costume, the wife will take care of all the household duties, starting with picking out his shirt and ending with the watch.)

Madhu- "hmm, aduthu" (oh, then?)

S.Mother- "vayurum manasum nirancha thaan moolai velai seiyum. rendume namma kaila thaan iruku.. eppavum vayirara soru podanum, manasanu neraiyura mathiri anba pesanum. purushanoda ella prachanaikum namma kita theervu irukathu pa aana avangale theervu kandupudikarathukana soolnilaiya naama veetla amaichu kodukanum." 

Malini- "athu epadi?" (oh, how?)

S.Mother- "velila poitu varravugaluku enna venalum prachanai varalam.. sila samayam vayuthuku sooru pota thelivu vanthidum, sila neram unarvukkum sethu soru podanum, sila neram pillaigala paatha thelivu vanthidum.. Naama than atha sariah purinjukitu nadanthukanum.. prachanai chinatho peruso pathukalam nra ennamum thairiamum avangaluku varum.. epavum naama aaruthala irukanum.."( A man will encounter numerous issues in the outside world. It might be modest or massive. It might sometimes bring about calm and clarity to eat contentedly. There are instances when gratifying a need brings calm and clarity. We ought to be aware of the circumstance and handle them appropriately.)

Madhu- "varey vaa aunty super. aduthathu" (Super aunty. then?)

S.Mother- "intha valkai namaku epavume santhosatha koduthukite irukathu.. pala samayangalla enda valurom nra ennam thaan varum. athulaium petha pullaigal oru vayasuku mela kai meeri pogum pothum, etho oru karanathala pirinchu pogumpothu valkaila verupa thonum. antha nerathula valkai mela oru pudipu vara ore karanam ennana... namala nambi nambala nesika oru uyir irukunra ennam thaan, antha nambikaiya nee un purushanuku kodukanum. athe pola neum un ella mudivum un purushanaium manasula vachu than edukanum" (We may occasionally despise this life. The only urge that will motivate someone to live on is the belief that their spirit is alive and loves them. Make sure your hubby knows that you share that belief. And before you make any decisions, always keep him in mind.)

They all listened keenly. 

S.Mother- "sonnathu ellam purinchatha?" (Understood everything?)

They all nodded. Sivaangi' s mother left once Seetha called her. 

Madhu- "problem chinatha perusa nu epadi therinjukurathu?" (How can we identify whether they have a little or major issue?)

Sivaangi- "unaku athu matum thaan doubt ah, enaku ellame doubt thaan" (Do you have only that doubt. I have doubt in everything.)

Madhu- "enna doubt di?" (What?)

Sivaangi- "vaathi ku ella dress laium alaga irupare.. naan daily etha eduthu vaikurathu?" (How would I choose a dress for Ashwin every day when he looks good in all of them?). Ashwin smiled on hearing her statement with a slight blush.

Madhu- "athane... apuram?" (Of course. Then?)

Sivaangi- "vayiru neraiah sapadu podanumam.... enaku ipo thane coffee podave therium" (I need to feed him well, but I've just recently begun learning how to make coffee.)

Malini and Madhu laughed out loud.  

Sivaangi- "bayama iruku.." (I am scared)

Madhu- "ada pakki, ithellam pothuva veetla solrathu thaan.. enakum en amma itha vida neraiah advice pananga. vidu sivu ma... poga poga ellam vanthidum" (This is typical. Before marriage, every mother will say something similar; my mother did as well. Relax, everything will work out as it should.)

Rakshan felt hurt but relieved that Madhu is not worried about her past.

Malini- "amam, enaku en amma sonna advice ellam gnabagame illa.. naanga happy ah illaya?" ( I even forgot what my mother advised me. I am living happily now)

She just nodded.  Boys looked at each other on hearing these. At night, Sivaangi is in deep thinking, Ashwin came near her. 

Ashwin- "ennachu en pattu-ku, ore yosanaih iruku" (What happened? what are you thinking?)

Sivaangi- "bayama iruku, naan nalla wife ah irupena?" (I am scared. Will i be a good wife?)

Ashwin- "ipo nee bayapudura alavuku enna nadanthupochu?" (What makes you scared?)

Sivaangi- "athu..." (Actually..)

They heard a knocking sound at the door. Ashwin opened the door.

S.Mother-" Sivaangi ku maruthani veikanum... aval konjam.." (Need to put Mehndi for Sivaangi. May I...). Ashwin nodded and Sivaangi left with her.

S.Mother- " nee yen kathava thorakala? Athaium mapla than pananuma??" (Why you didn't opened the door? why you let him do all the work?)

Sivaangi glanced at her and continued to think. Ashwin waited for her until after midnight, but she never showed up. He left, and when he returned, he saw Sivaangi still awake and staring up at the ceiling. Bala, Praveen, Madhu, Seetha, and Sivaangi' s mother are all gathered around her. Ashwin took a deep breath out before entering. He moved towards the entrance while holding Sivaangi in a bridal style without any hesitation.

S.Mother- "mapla neenga enga inga? enna panreenga?" (What are you doing? why you came here?)

Ashwin- "Sivaangi ya kootitu poga vanthen" (I came here for Sivaangi)

S.Mother- "Athu ava ingaye..." (Let her be...)

Ashwin- "vendam atha, avaluku enkooda padutha thaan thookam varum, enakum apadi thaan" (There is no necessity. Only when I am around would she fall asleep calmly, and I experience the same.) 

S.Mother- "mapla, poonum maplaium ore room la...." (Actually, bride and groom should not stay in same room.)

Ashwin- "Purushanum pondattiyum ore room la than irukanum. intha  moonu nalaiku epadi irukanum nu enaku nalave therium. Nan pathukaren. (A husband and a wife should stay in a same room. I know how to behave for these three days. I will take care. )" saying so he left. 

Sivaangi' s mother is blinking not knowing what to do. 

Madhu- "apuram enna aunty, athan plan putukuche.. naan en room ku poren. appove varuvarunu ninachen.." (Then what aunty? you plan failed. May I leave to my room? I expected him long back. )

Sivaangi' s mother is still processing the things. 

Madhu- "Aunty, anna ku theirum enna pananum nu. ivlo nerama Sivu ma thoongave illa. ipadi thoongama iruntha, nalaiku engagement la epadi fresh ah irupa? vidunga aunty" (My brother will handle everything, auntie. Sivaangi hasn't slept yet as well. If she is awake, she won't feel refreshed. Auntie, let it go.)

Sivaangi' s mother just nodded.

Without disturbing her mehandi, Ashwin gave Sivaangi a hug. She smiled and fell asleep shortly after. After he confirmed that she had slept, Ashwin also slept. She will feel safe and at ease in his embrace as he holds her while she falls asleep.

Next day evening, everyone got ready for the engagement. 

Everyone arrived for the function as the engagement party got underway. Raju and Malini took care of everything on behalf of Sivaangi' s parents. As her brother, Rakshan stood in. Sivaangi' s mother sternly ordered them to complete all of the duties.

Jai ram and Seetha exchanged the engagement plate with Raju and Malini.Suriya teases Ashwin nonstop. The priest then calls Sivaangi after they have exchanged. Together with Madhu, she entered the stage. 

She was told by the priest to sit next to Ashwin. They were told to switch garlands after a while. While exchanging garlands, Ashwin and Sivaangi exchanged glances. When Ashwin laid the garland, she blushed and cast a downward glance. As soon as they turned on the music to increase their enjoyment, all of these moments were carefully recorded.

It was instructed that they exchange rings. Ashwin received a ring from Suriya. As he held her hand and gently placed the ring on her finger, he beamed. Then he kissed her index finger.

Sivaangi received a ring from Rakshan. She looked at him while blushing. His hands were raised. The ring was then put on his finger by her. She attempted to look at him out of the corner of her eyes, but his direct gaze caused her to blush and look down.

They then changed the song to which Bala, Praveen, and Jeevan were having fun. Students from Ashwin College started to dance to the music. Sivaangi and Ashwin were made to stand on the stage and watch the event. Numerous individuals arrived on stage, introduced themselves, and frequently wished and blessed them. Rakshan and Madhu always showed up to support Ashwin and Sivaangi whenever they needed it. Jai Ram and Seetha frequently look after Jeevan.

Ashwin is taking it all in while keeping a smile on his face. In every word of the song, Suriya and Rakshan began to tease her. Later, Vishnu and his wife, Raju and Malini started to dance for the below song.

Together with them, Malini also performed a brief, light dance to the music. They teased the couple by dancing throughout the entire song. They didn't leave the couple until they were pink from blushing so frequently.

They all headed to dinner after having a great time. To ensure that everything is ready for the meal, Jai Ram, Seetha, Sivaangi' s Mother, Dev, and Amrita have invited everyone. They took care to ensure that everyone enjoyed the cuisine and was happy.

Suriya and Vishnu are working on the room allocations for the guests and  their hospitality. Raj and Rakshan is taking care of the college students, their colleagues and business people's. Balu and Praveen is taking care of Jeevan. Madhu is raking care of Malini and yes as expected Ashwin and Sivaangi is taking care of themselves and often enjoy living in their own world. Sivaangi leaned and placed her head on Ashwin's shoulder.
