Two
Over the next few days, she had nightmares er..well more like voices telling her things. Things she didn’t understand or want to. She heard a male’s voice saying things she assumed directed at her. Things like Artie! Run The Marthrules are coming for you! And another voice - Female saying things like, the Eclipse is soon! We must have her fast!
Whatever it was, and what it had to do with the upcoming eclipse next week, she wanted no part of it. She didn’t know an “Artie” either. Oh well. Sounds kinda like some vudu sacrifice if you ask Luna. Luna had most-certainly never heard of a Marthrule. She tried googling it, but no luck there. She had no time to do book work.
Luna all this week more importantly had gotten no sleep. She’s been plagued by nightmares since she had that realistic nightmare. She’s been trying to do her Math homework - witch is a miracle by itself. She never does homework much less math. The problems were like:
A cylinder has a diameter of 16 inches find the volume using ℼ.
Luna absolutely hated math.
Luna Was asleep on her bed the wrong way with math books surrounding her. Her Dreams were black - always just straight up darkness. She heard the male voice telling her to go again.
Artemis Listen to me! You need to go! The Marthrules are there for you!
Luna got up on Wednesday morning after hearing voices again. Her eyes were bloodshot and her hair a rat’s nest.
“Oh sweetie you look horrible.” Her Foster mum said.
“Gee thanks..” Luna said sarcastically.
Luna was having a very bad day afterwards. Her hair was sticking out at all angels and not cooperating to be brushed, When she fell asleep outside a skunk was sleeping on her lap, and Alena (her only friend) ditched her for Hazel (The new girl). She was getting seriously annoyed. She almost forgot about the Eclipse. She would have if that annoying voice in her dreams hadn’t kept reminding her. After she took a shower (Skunk incident) she just sat on her bed, doing nothing. After awhile of trying different wolf howls, she looked out the window. A moving van was nextdoor.
Another new person? We already got Hazel that annoying little girl.
A boy with Bright blond hair and blue eyes came outside. He looked directly at her, or so it seemed. Luna ducked her head. She felt like she should know him. For some odd reason Luna felt strangely annoyed. She shrugged it off and decided to mourn her favorite character who died. Well one of them. Luna heard her doorbell ring. She ran down the stairs and threw the door open hoping Alena ditched Hazel. It was the new boy. “Hi, I’m Rich Triordant!” His voice sounded familiar.
“Hi Rick Riordan.” Luna pursed her lips.
“Rich Triordant.” Rich corrected.
“Sorry.” She apologized.
“Well i- uh just wanted to say high..” Rich said awkwardly before dashing back to his house.
Luna rolled her eyes at his awkwardness. She felt like he wasn’t normally awkward.
Two days passed and it was the day of the Eclipse. Alena hasn’t talked to Luna at all. She has been hanging out with Hazel all week. Around 9pm 30 minutes before the eclipse was supposed to start, I Skyped Alena hoping to talk to her. She showed up in front of the camera in about 30 seconds.
“Hey Luna.” Alena was dressed in pajamas.
“Hey. Are you coming out to see the eclipse?” She asked hopeful that she wasn’t with Hazel still.
“No. My parents locked me in.They believe that i’m going to go blind even with the glasses on. Their super paranoid. Hazel’s over here, she’s helping my parents clean up downstairs.” Alena said.
Luna felt jealous. “You know i’ve never met your parents, or seen them for that matter.” Luna said
“Oh really? Well My dad’s in prison a lot, Guarding that is. My mother is always shopping so even I hardly even see them. But they came home and put me and Hazel on Lockdown.” Alena shrugged.
“Alena! Turn that thing off This instant!” A woman yelled at alena.
“Bye.” Alena waved before cutting the connection.
Luna slumped in her computer chair. She checked the time again 9:25. Luna grabbed her jacket before heading outside waiting for the eclipse.
That new boy Rich was also there. Sitting on a rock trying to seem like he was watching the moon. He had them glasses on just like Luna.
He seemed to be watching her though, not gonna lie creeped her out.
Luna ficked her glasses down onto the bridge of her nose.
The sky went dark as the eclipse started but Luna barely noticed because, Someone had put her hand over her mouth and was holding her hands together strongly. She was blindfolded and was dragged away.Basically Luna was Kidnapped.
Luna was panicking and kicking, basically doing her best to get away from her kidnappers.
At this point, she hoped that Rich saw this, although it's likely he’s the kidnapper.
She felt herself being dragged into a cellar of sorts, one that was dimly lit. She was pushed into a chair and started to hear latin chanting.
