3:Time To See

In the early morning before the sun ever rose, after last nights encounter with a group of pirates, you rounded up any valuables in possession. Most of it was washed up pirate junk, though some seemed to have a value. The other bits was the money your parents left behind in case of an emergency, you even took the tickets you worked countless hours on earning.

"Unless something super valuable is in this box of salvageable I'm not sure they'd except all of the offer." Quite unsure you mumbled to yourself, this was a chance so it was safe to try. Quickly you rounded up the items in a large, but thin, blanket for easy toting purposes and took heed towards the beach.

When you got there the sun was just started to rise above the waters.

"What are you doing here so early?" The voice startled you as you weren't expecting someone to be awake already seeing as it was five. The voice came from the long nosed boy from yesterday who was standing closer towards the ship.

"I like to see the sunrise here, as well as I couldn't quite sleep." You mentioned while setting down the makeshift bag and sitting next to it. "Was not expecting anyone to be up so early either."

"I heard the sunrises here where amazing so I had to see it for myself. To be honest I'm not one to wake this early, Sanji is." He said while yawning, furthermore proving he doesn't get up this often. "Mind if I sit next to you?"

"Of course I don't mind."  The man then proceeded to sit down within an arm reaches distance. "Mind telling me your name? I don't think I know it."

"It's captain Ussop." He mentioned proudly, thumb pointing towards none other then himself.

"Nice to meet you then captain Usopp." You mentioned back with a soft and warm hearted giggle. You where then quiet once again, the sunrise was beginning to peak at it's best. He caught the drift and was soon in awe by it's beauty. Vibrant colours appeared to be dancing In the sky. Pinks and purple glistened across the waves with sparkles and shines. Around the sun was a ring of shining gold that faded into a light pink that dusted the sky.

"Wait (y/n) what's those things in the water." He pointed toward the things that sparkles across the calm waves.

"That is a species of bug indigenous to the area. At night they make their way on shore and once the sun is rising they go back underwater until sunset once again. There bodies are really slick and shiny and reflect the light from the sun. They are nicknamed the Sun's Dust for how it looks like dust spread upon the ocean's water." You quickly explained.

"What about those shining in the sky?" He eagerly questioned with eyes still onlooking the scene in front of him.

"Those are another indigenous creature to the area. They are a type of bird with reflective tips on their wings and tail feathers. They move from the small island that's next to this one to this one in the day and come back at nightfall, opposite the Sun's Dust. They are nicknamed the Sky's Shimmers." You informed Usopp once again.

"I wish I could paint this but it'd be gone too soon."

"You still could, I could help you remember any detail if you forget. I've seen it a lot after all." Looking over you where sort of curious now. The way he stared at the sunrise almost gleamed with inspiration.

"I don't know really. I haven't done much in the way of art since I joined the crew." He sighed, seeming a little bit upset about it. "I did do the flag though!" He shouted and was seemingly very proud of his achievement.

"It looks wonderful Usopp." The flag was very kid like and was filled with charm with the skull still indicating danger, it fit perfectly for the crew and it's captain.

He smiled at the response, happy to feel accomplished at something which seemed of a rarity.

The sun at this point had raised over the shoreline, all colors faded into the typical blue hues as if it was all a dream.

   "Usopp where'd you go?!"

Before Usopp could even respond Sanji appeared, poking over the bow of the ship.

"Oh there you are. Was just making sure you didn't get eaten by a sea king is all. Seems your still alive." He didn't notice you at first, likely being because of the sheep figurehead. Though he moved slightly to the side and immediately freaked out. "Oh (Y/N) my sweet your looking absolutely lovely this morning!"

"Oh geez! Throw me under the ship like I don't even matter!" Usopp shouted in an offended tone of voice. At this you couldn't help but giggle for his short lived misery.

"Fooooooood!" A loud voice shouted from aboard the ship.

"Oh god its Luffy. If you need anything (Y/N) my love don't be shy!" Sanji, in a frenzy, ran towards the kitchen shouting nonsense about how the captain was allowed nowhere near the food until it was done cooking.

"You can go on the ship if you want I think I'm going to have to-" he unintentionally yawns through his words. "Exactly. Take a nap."

You followed after him, with your bag in tote, as he got onto the ship. You split up soon after as he went to get more sleep as he also mentioned that Robin usually wakes up about this time, it was getting close to six.

Deciding you felt awkward, you sat on the deck outside and stared at the waves. Crew members slowly came out of their sleeping quarters, occasionally greeting you on the way to the kitchen.

After everyone ate, and many declines towards wanting food as Sanji insisted you try some, you where on the verge of showing Nami the items. True you hadn't eaten but being on the ship around strangers made appetite void for the time being.

You began to untie the bag, a crew member or two stuck around in interest, and showed the items to Nami. Along the items inside where washed up pirate treasure, 200,000 Beri left by your parents for emergency purposes only, and many meal tickets. She
Inspected each item carefully. One was a jeweled necklace, though the jewels where fake though she thought she might be able to convince an idiot it was real. There was also a pearl necklace, checked off as real. There was even three gold coated small statue like objects that seemed to be a set, deemed valuable. Other things included where a jeweled dagger in it's jeweled and gold sheathe, a tattered bag of gold coins, a gold and silver seal stamp, along with a few more smaller items. For pirates this didn't seem much, though she kept investigating.

"Mind me asking but why do you need to travel to this 'said island.'" She spoke, seemingly more interested in figuring out if a diamond encrusted brooch was in fact real.

"Oh maybe I should have mentioned that, my apologies." She simply waved her hand toward the apology, it wasn't necessary to apologize. "I haven't seen my parents in a few years, it's seemingly worse when communication is so difficult from such a distance. I was planning to leave to there when I could and stay." She seemed to be startled by the answer, if only just a little.

"Oh. And what are these exactly." Nami motioned toward the tickets.

"Those are tickets that can really only be used on this island. They are earned after working for one of the local shops. It's fine since all of the food we could need is on the island. One ticket will usually last me two and a half days for food. Sometimes longer depending on if I'm hungry or not. Though since there are fifty seven it should last..." You took a second to think until Usopp, one of the ones who where seemingly interested in what you brought, answers back for you.

"One hundred forty and a half, right?" Thanks to his help you had to strain your head less by not thinking about math.

"I guess. Though that's for me and how much I eat. So hard telling how long that would last for the crew. Maybe a week?" You shyly suggested, already bare witnessed to some of their eating habits.

"Haha probably knowing Luffy's appetite." Usopp simply chuckled while Nami just sighed thinking about it.

Not surprisingly Luffy tried to investigate the items in curiosity earning a lashing from the ships navigator, this making Usopp sigh now.

"So Nami is it enough to take her? Huh, Huh?" Luffy, even though being the captain of the ship entrusted the decision to Nami if the money was enough. As much as Luffy liked to make friends he wasn't going to tote someone around for free or without a good reason such as the impending doom of a whole country or what not.

"Yeah I think it will." She smiled. "Seems you'll be sailing with us for a while."
