Everyone was outside. The caretakers, the children, the demon and the kind lady...

In front of them, a orphanage on fire. But the fire were not normal. It was a purplish blueish colored flame that was absorbing all the building that were a home for the orphans to live in.

Their gaze stare at it in pure shock and terror. While the caretakers was counting all the kids to be sure that everyone was there. Thankfully no one was left behind during the escape from this monstrous danger they didn't know would happen.

You mostly stare at Bone. How could he know this place was going to explode in fire? Then you remember about the grimoire he took before he got you and the others out of there.
You pulled has his pant to get his attention off of the terrible sight.

He look down at you. His eyes turned to a soft sight. Seems like you made him forgot about something he was thinking. "Yes?"He ask has he waited for you to tell what you need to say. You let go of his pant and glance over to the other kids. "How did you know? It's... Weird that we got saved by you.."You said confused.

The demon let out a small chuckle before he took a glance at the others around. "I know that a demon would not care to save some people from what you were destined to get. But... I am not like them. I was raised to be good, caring and other human feelings and emotion. Something some demons might not have this days..." He calmy explain to you.

You seem to understand what he mean to you by that. Even if your only a child... You were more intelligent enough to know some stuff than some other kids do around your age.
Then a question came to your mind.
Where are you going to live now? Since the orphanage is destroyed...

The demon notice your sad gaze and this made him feel something he did not felt a lot before. Since he is mostly showing less of his emotions and that he is neutral. He could just leave now with his friend and leave them behind like this is not his business now. Then why must he feel sympathy and compassion for they have now.
With a deep sigh, the demon walked over one of the caretakers.

When they saw him get closer to them, one of the caretakers hurried to get over to him. "S-Sir! Thanks you so much for saving us from this terrible encounter!" She said in stress but also in relief. Bone shook his head has he told her that it was nothing. "Nothing? Oh goodness no! If you did not came today and get us all out of here... This kids would have never had a good experience for their lives.." she seemed very caring for the kids. Which made the demon roll his eyes. Not because of the kids but on how she looked at him. He could even feel her fear over him, despite he saved them.

"Miss... Since this place is destroyed. Where will this kids go?"He asked wanting to know but also to end this stares on him.

The lady took a glance over her co workers and nodded. "Well..." She started has she look back up to him. "we are going to take all of them to another orphanage from the town next to this one. Is there a problem with that?" She asked with desperate eyes at him.

Bone scratched a little his right cheek. He look a bit off from his composure. He even seem to be nervous about what he was going to say. The caretaker in front of him was getting curious about that behavior he has suddenly. "I wanted to know... Is it possible to adopt a child now?" He asked not even looking at the lady anymore. Which surprised her.
"You want to adopt a child now? Oh my... It is a pleasure to hear that! But are you sure this is a good thing for you?" She cross her arms close to her chest, she look serious now.

The demon said nothing than nodding his head. Then Tristana pop in the conversation. "I would like to adopt a child too!" She said with a bright smile. Which surprised Bone a bit. He look at her with a raised eye brow. "I though you only wanted to see them today?"He asked her suspiciously. "And me I though you only wanted to give me company and be there for me?" She respond back with a teasing look on her face. Which made him look away in embarrassment. "I-I only wanted to get a certain child that interest me.."He shyly said has he rub behind his head. This surprised his friend in return. "You? Got interest in a child? That's something I would never hear you said... Are you sick?" She said has she poke his side. He only flinch and move a bit away. "W-What? No I'm not sick."He said has he look at her serious. "Aww... Did mister I don't like everyone changed at the sigh of an innocent cute little kid?" She said with a big grin on her face. Bone body went rigid for a moment. "Will you stop this nonsense? I am still myself you know?" He pointed out has he gave her an annoyed look.

While they keep arguing at each other in a fun way. You were watching the scene with amusement. You even can't help but mostly stare at Bone. His expression facial keep changing and it was a funny sight. You could not hold your laugh longer and let it out. Which made everyone look at you. You hold your stomach and end up rolling on the floor with more laugh getting out of you.

Bone smiled a little. He founded you cute like that. Tristana would take a glance between you and him, and she seem to understand that her best friend had started to change after seing you.

The caretakers have took notice of that too. A tall demon that look softly at a young small child that was laughing at him. It's something rare to see from the ordinary.

You soon calmed down and stood up from the dirty ground. You wipe your tears away and look at them all. Kinda confused by all those looks. The demon turn his gaze away from yours and instead look at the caretaker he talk before. "Miss, I want to adopt this child over there." He said pointing over to you. The lady nodded and look at you. "Alright sir... Do you want to give them a name or keep the name they already have?" She asked curious.

Bone turn his gaze back to you. He stare at your chocked eyes. "I think I'll let them keep their name."He said closing his four eyes in joy.

"Good. Then this child is under your care until you are called to fill the papers from the orphanage of the next town." She said has she bowed a little. He nodded has a thanks to her. "I will come for those papers later..." He said has he took look at his friend that was talking to another caretaker about the child she wanted to adopt. "Right now you should go with the kids to the next town before something happen again here."He look back at the lady seriously.

She nods understanding and called for every children to be ready to go.
Bone watch them move two by two, holdings hands to not get lost. He smirk a bit when he saw some being shy by doing that. Then he got his attention over you, who was now next to him. "So... Are you my dad now?"You asked has you look up to him curious. He chuckles has he let out a sigh after that. "Yeah, and you are my child now."He responded has he gave you a gentle shuffle on the top of your head. It put your hair a bit in a mess and you could feel a warm feeling from your heart.

Is it what is feels like to be loved and cared by someone you can call a family? If so... This is a nice feeling to have.
