Sugawara looked over at Daichi, who was standing next to him. He looked up at the signs of the aisles and sighed. "Dai, I'll be right back."

"Alright." Sugawara walked off down the medicine aisle. He spotted what he wanted and walked back to Daichi. "Hey. Um... What's that for?"

"My cousin. I'm going to play a prank on him."

"With laxatives?"

"These have to flavor or color when you put it in water."

"Oh. Alright. I didn't know you liked pranks."

"I love pranks. I've played some minor ones and some bigger ones. Like the time I covered my mom's office in tin foil. She locks the door now."

Daichi chuckled softly. "That's pretty funny."

Sugawara smiled. "Thanks."

"Mhm." Sugawara turned to Daichi. "You ready to check out?"

"Yep. You sure that's all you need?"

"Yeah. I don't eat a lot of candy. It's not healthy." Sugawara started to walk to the register. The cashier, a middle aged woman, looked up and smiled. She scanned their items and Daichi stopped Suga from paying.

He paid instead and carried the bags. Sugawara stayed behind, getting the hint from the cashier to do so.

"Hey sweetheart, why exactly are there laxatives in those bags?"

"I'm pranking my cousin…"

"Alright. Don't use those on yourself. That'll do damage if you use too much."

"Of course." Sugawara smiled and walked outside to Daichi. "Hey."

"Hey. You good?"

"Mhm. Let's go."

"Alright." Daichi chuckled. "Asahi is already at my house. He's probably reading, which is fine. He likes books."

"Maybe we can buy him some soon."

"Yeah. He's running out fast."

"Nice." Sugawara smiled.

Asahi looked up from the floor, book in hand. He smiled at the two walking in and set it down. Daichi tossed him a bag of bright colored candies and sat on the couch.

"Feel free to sit anywhere." Sugawara sat on the other end of the couch and looked around. "You alright?"

"Mhm. Just looking."

"Oh. Alright." Daichi glanced down at Asahi. "You good?"

Asahi looked up and nodded. "Where's your mom?"

"She's probably downstairs. You want me to get her?"

"Yeah! She's really nice."

"Mkay. He looked over to Sugawara. "Don't worry, she is nice."

"Cool." Sugawara smiled. A few moments later Daichi came back with his mother behind him, holding a box. She noticed Sugawara and smiled.

"Hello there!"

"Hi!"

Daichi's mother set down the box near the TV and turned around. Asahi looked up from the floor and waved. She smiled and bent down. "So what part are you at?"

"Where they find the man in the cave. Just after Alivia went missing."

"Oooh. It gets real good after that." She chuckled and looked up to the light haired teen sitting on the couch. "You must be Sugawara." She stood and extended a hand. "Daichi talks about you a lot."

"Mom!"

"Oh hush I'm teasing." Sugawara shook her hand. Daichi turned his attention away, embarrassed. She bent down, lowering her voice. "Between you and me, he actually talks highly of you. A lot."

"Oh. Nice to know." Daichi's mother laughed before walking back out. Daichi sat down and turned on the TV. "So you talk highly of me?"

Daichi dropped the remote and it hit Asahi's head, startling him. "Sorry!"

"Um. No problem…" Asahi handed him the remote.

Sugawara laughed. "You know, you talk highly of me but for all you know I could be holding six kids in my basement and only feed them laxatives and peanut butter."

"Jesus- okay." Daichi sighed. "Not the BEST reference of why you might have issues."

"I don't know, that sounded pretty genuine." Asahi noted.

"That's going to stick with me, isn't it?"

"It is."

"Great. Let's elaborate on it then."

"You've got to hydrate them somehow." Daichi pointed out.

"No, that's the thing. The laxatives are in the water I give them."

"Ah. Can they see sunlight?"

"Nope. I just show them a pic of it and boom. Sunlight."

Asahi looked up, worried. "Guys… that's creepy."

"We're joking." Sugawara chuckled lightly. "Can I braid your hair?"

"Um… okay."

"Cool." Sugawara scooted behind Asahi. "Do you guys have a hair brush?"

"I'll go get one." Daichi left the room, heading upstairs.

"Suga?"

"Yeah."

"Do you like Daichi?"

"U-um. I'm not sure… I haven't thought about it."

"Okay."

"Why?"

"It's just the way you two act. That's all."

"Oooh."

"I got a hair brush." Sugawara extended his hand for it. "How do you know how to braid hair?"

"YouTube."

"Oh."

"Mhm. Asahi, do you have a sensitive head?" Asahi shook his head. Sugawara nodded and started to brush out Asahi's hair, humming softly. Daichi stared from his seat, smiling.

"Hey Suga?"

"Yes?"

"Do you like music?"

"Sometimes... Usually when it's nighttime though. It helps ease my nerves."

Daichi nodded. So Sugawara had a different way of falling asleep. Normal but also kind of cool.

He watched Sugawara twist Asahi's hair into a simple twin braid, still being gentle so the younger male didn't have to stop reading. When he was done he backed up and watched the TV calmly, messing with his hands as if he was warming up. Daichi reached over, his hand hovering above Sugawara's. Suga looked down and tilted his head to the side. "Hm?"

"Sorry." Daichi pulled his hand away. Sugawara shrugged and grabbed it. "You can just ask."

Daichi blushed and nodded. "Alright."

"Your hands are only slightly bigger than mine. That's kinda cool." Sugawara put up their linked hands. "And it's tense."

"I don't usually hold people's hands." Daichi admitted quietly. He smiled as Sugawara edged closer and grabbed his other hand.

"Now I have both hands. So you do hold people's hands now."

"You want to hold my hands?"

Sugawara shrugged and smiled. "Your hands feel nice."

"Oh really?"

"Mhm!" He shook his hands and raised them up. Daichi laughed and separated his arms, causing Sugawara to fall into his chest with a yelp. "That's not fair Dai!"

"Pfft." Daichi released his hands and eased Sugawara up. "Hello there."

Asahi looked back and smiled. His friends were getting along very, very well. He was glad that Daichi was finally finding someone.

Sugawara shifted and placed his bottom next to Daichi's legs, his own draped over Daichi's lap. He relaxed, not bothering in noting the obvious crimson coloring his cheeks. "Wow… alright. I guess you can lay on me."

"Thanks." Daichi rolled his eyes and put his head down in his palm. Sugawara put his head down on Daichi's bicep and smiled. "You're comfy."

"Thanks Suga."

"No problem." Sugawara closed his eyes.
