"WAKEY WAKEY WHORE-" I jump on top of Katsuki. Kiro plays with the balloons we put all over his room.

"WHAT THE FUCK-" He wakes up and pushes me off the bed.

"Happy birthday Suki!" Kiro says, grinning. Katsuki grins back at him. He loves Kiro, although he won't admit it to anyone outside the family.

"Your dad is making your birthday breakfast. Better get up before we eat it all." I say, picking up Kiro and going outside Katsuki's room.

I get texts from the class, mostly Pikachu making jokes about 4/20. Katsuki is a loser when it comes to smoking or doing stuff like that. He goes to bed at 8 each night. Aunt Mitsuki definitely didn't teach him that, based on the stories I've heard at family reunions.

Katsuki comes out in his stupid flannel and jeans. Sometimes I forget he's a teenager that can't dress himself.

"Pull up your pants, bitch face." I say, as my mom yells at me for swearing at my cousin on his birthday.

Katsuki flips me off and goes to his table to eat his breakfast.

It's been a tradition since we were kids for our families to go to each other's homes on our birthdays. Katsuki is only about a month older than me, my birthday being May 9th.

We've been close ever since we were born. So on his birthday we go hiking, just us 2. On my birthday we binge watch shows and movies together. It's fun.

"Wait up for me Katsuki!" I run up to him at the top of the mountain we were hiking. I catch my breath. "You're too fast."

"Not my fault you're slow." He chuckles. He sits on the ground and I sit next to him.

"Remember when we would come up here and plan out our adventures?" I ask.

"Back when you embraced being blonde? Yeah, I remember." I hit him as he cackles. "But I remember. You wanted to travel the world back then. Do you still want to?"

"Not sure. I could become a pro hero, ya know? I have to protect my home."

We're quiet as the sun goes down. From the outside we must look like people who hate each other. In reality we're like siblings, we grew up together. Of course we're gonna argue and fight, but that doesn't mean we care about each other less.

Katsuki might be an asshole but I'll always be by his side. That's what a best friend and cousin has to do.
