Katherine was pacing around her room, she was nervous since her parents were talking to her earlier about love. She hadn't ever told her parents she's dating Shelby because she was scared how they'll react. Especially since she knew they wanted her to date a guy. She hadn't even told them she's lesbian!

She laid down on her bed and sighs. She grabs her phone and scrolled through the photos of her and Shelby. She smiled but that slowly disappeared when she thought of parents. What if they reacted badly? What if they made her break up with Shelby?! Her thoughts were taken out when she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" Katherine said as she closed her photos tab. "Hi sweetie, are you okay? You have been locked in your room for the whole day" Katherine's mom said. 'Fuck I forgot about that' Katherine thought. "Yeah I'm fine just not in a chatting mood?" Katherine said. 'Damn that excuse was weak' Katherine thought.

Katherine's mom looked at her and raised an eyebrow, obviously not believing Katherine. "It's just-" Katherine pauses mid sentence to let out a small sigh. "Dear?" Her mom asked. "It's just can you promise to tell dad? Please..." Katherine mumbled. "Well if you don't want to tell him, then I promise not to tell him" Her mom said.

Katherine nods and sighs. "You know Shelby right?" Katherine asked and her mom nods. "Yes, your little friend of yours" Her mom said. "Well me and her- Me and her are dating. We have been dating for a long time now" Katherine said and waited to hear yelling. But instead she heard her mom chucking. "I knew it! I knew it from the moment and saw how she looked at you in middle school" Her mom said.

Katherine's eyes widened and felt like her face go red. "Y-You knew?!?" Katherine said surprised. "Mhm, now if you'll excuse me your father owes me 100 dollars" Katherine's mom said before leaving. "Honey! The bet is over! Give me those 100 dollars!" Katherine could hear her mom yell from the hallway. "Wait dad knew too!?" Katherine yelled.

"Well that went better than expected..." Katherine mumbled. "My parents just betted on my love life...Well that was interesting" Katherine said. After sometime she had gotten a message from Shelby if they wanted to go on for a walk which Katherine of course accepted. "Mom! Dad! I'm going out! I'll be back at 8 hopefully" Katherine yelled for her parents to hear before she left. "Alright, be safe" Katherine could hear her dad yell from her parents' room.

Katherine and Shelby met up with each and were walking around Katherine's neighborhood. "Sooo- I told my parents about us" Katherine said. "Oh? And how did it go?" Shelby asked. "Well apparently they have betted on my love life with you way before we were dating" Katherine said awkwardly.

"Oh! Well that's surprising" Shelby said with a chuckle. "Yeah but hey at least that is out of my mind now" Katherine said. Shelby smiled and kissed her cheek. "Yeah now you don't have to look around when we go on our dates" Shelby teased while Katherine let out a huff. "Yeah yeah" Katherine mumbled.
