Epilogue

Six months.

Six months is enough time to change someone's life.

The woman wearing a red lehenga and black leather jacket was staring at the door in front of her while the Korean-American man next to her was admiring her courage. He had seen her have breakdowns before, but what happened six months ago made her stronger than ever.

She was a living phoenix that he was seeing rise up to her name - Zoya Ferrara, meaning life.

"Are you ready?" He asked as she brought her bruised knuckled closer to her face. She kissed the ring that she was wearing on her right hand, that once belonged to her mother and was given to her by her aunt on her dying breath. "You can take as much time as you need. There is no hurry."

But the mahogany heave double doors in front of her called to her somehow.

Zara Medina shook her head. "I'm ready."

Mal-chen nodded once at his leader and placed his hands on the round doorknobs. Taking a deep breath, he opened the main office of the Ferraras, a room that he hadn't seen in almost a decade since he found out the truth about who his only friend was.

Zara walked inside, the heels she was wearing owning the place the second she walked through. The sound of her walking echoed through the entire floor, letting it know that their leader was back.

And she was back stronger.

Zara's hands brushed the gorgeously crafted table as she made her way to the other side. She turned the leather chair around and eyed it, as if she were a cat and this was a prey. She turned around and sat down, resting her arms on either side.

Mal whistles. "Damn, Zara. This suits you."

Zara smiled. She looked at her bruised hands from all the training that she had been taking this while to live up to the name that was born with....to become the legacy that she really was.

"I was born for this, Mal."

Mal nodded once before leaving the room, letting her get familiar with the office - her office.

Zara Medina had taken the throne of the Ferraras.
