"ROAN..."
Anakin sent the king a look, as he stood in the same room as him, Titas standing in front of the king with a knife in front of his neck. "We can not kill him, Roan, he is the only one who can preform the ritual."
Titas glanced at Anakin, who had washed all the blood from his body and kept a protective stance in front of Daisy. "I will not let this abomination ascend." And he pushed himself forward and moved his body the knife against his throat slashed against his skin and caused him to bleed out. Titas always disliked Anakin because of what he could do and the power he would one day wield.
Roan yelped slightly as he scrambled forward and placed his hands against Titas neck, but it was already too late, he was dead. "Anakin."
"Find me Clarke Griffin, now." Anakin spoke roughly as he made eye contact with the king. "Dead or alive. She has the flame."
"Annie?" Daisy peered upwards, her eyes locking with Anakins.
"John Murphy will watch you, okay? I have to go." Anakin told the young girl as he picked up a cloak from nearby table and wrapped it around himself. "I need to find Marie."
"Can I come?" Daisy questioned quietly, her voice small as she tried her hardest to keep her tears at bay. Everything that had happened in the past few days had overwhelmed her, had scared her — shown her who Anakin really was. What he had done scared her, yes, but she understood to some level why he had done it. For her. It was to protect her from her death, and as the commander, nothing would ever happen to her, he knew it. "Please."
Anakin shared a look with John Murphy, who had a bruised face and a swollen eye, no doubt from Titas and his beatings. "Can I trust you, Murphy?"
John nodded quickly. If he could be trusted, than he could live. "Yes."
"Good, grab a cloak for Daisy and yourself. We have to leave polis and be back before the next morning." Anakin picked up his sword, wiping the black blood that stuck to it off. "No one can know we've left."
You're asking why? Well tomorrow Anakin needed to recite the names of the previous commanders, and if he couldn't find the flame before then, the lives of everyone he knew and cared about would be at risk. He could protect them if he could see them, if they were within his reach.
With Roan looking for Clarke, it was easy to find the drop ship. When he, Daisy and Murphy reached the drop ship, sometime after the sun had set, Anakin wasn't just met with Marie. He was met with Marie, but with Monty Green too.
"Anakin?" Marie yelped when she turned her head, a body crashing into hers when she toppled over and gasped out when hands went around her throat. "Help!"
Monty Greens mother was straddling Marie, holding her hands around her neck and attempting to cut off her air supply. It was Daisy who ran forward first, surprisingly faster than Anakin, and pushed the older woman off Marie.
"Daisy, Marie, get back." Anakin called out as he threw his knife when the two girls had scrambled far enough away. His knife landed in her shoulder, but she didn't seem fazed, almost seemed like she hadn't even noticed. "What?"
"Mom!" Monty moved forward, letting the dropship battery fall to the ground as he screamed out and held his gun pointed towards her head. "Stop!"
But she doesn't, Hannah Green, the mother to Monty Green pushes her body towards Daisy, and holds her arm around her neck. "I'll stop when you take the key, Monty." She holds out the 'key' with her free hand, for her son to take.
He shakes his head. "No, I'm sorry mom." But when his mother squeezed harder around the young girls neck, before Monty can even properly aim his gun towards her, Anakin is already at her body and pressing his sword through her skin.
No gasp. No scream of pain. Just a simple exhale of air as Monty's mother stops moving and lets her body fall to the ground, her eyes dull as she lets her last gaze stay on her son.
"Why!" Monty cries as he rushes forward, clutching his now dead mother to his chest. "Mom, I'm sorry."
Anakin helped pull Daisy up from where she was sitting on the ground. "Are you okay?" He asked quietly as he checked her body over for signs of cuts or bruises; she was okay.
Marie on the other hand, had a bruising hand prints around her neck, one that Anakin couldn't do anything about. "Anakin." Anakin stopped forward and extended his hand, preparing to shake it in an embrace, but Marie pulled him into a quick hug.
"Hello, Marie." He spoke kindly, something that he wasn't used too. "I'm glad you are okay."
He wasn't just glad. He probably couldn't have lived with himself if he let something happen to Marie, or to Daisy. He already hated himself more for not being able to save his sister, even after everything she had put him through.
When the two pulled away, Anakin made sure Daisy and Marie were as close to him as could be — personal space doesn't exist for Anakin. He gave Monty a look, one that probably didn't help the young adult. Reaching out, and letting Monty choose between grabbing it and smacking it away, the Green boy grasped the hand and pulled himself up.
"I'm sorry about your mother, Monty Kom Skaikru, but I will always protect my family." Anakin spoke once the male was on his feet.
Monty's gaze quickly flickered to Marie, almost asking if it was true, that Anakin was apologizing. "I understand." Monty said quietly. He did understand, he just didn't want to accept it. "I would have done it too, I just didn't think I could."
"We've gotta go, now." Marie pulled Anakin and Daisy towards the rover, as Monty grabbed the battery. "Raven is waiting for us."
John Murphy peaked up from where he had stood and watched everything going down, "Raven? Is she okay?"
"I'll explain in the rover, let's go."
"HELP ..."
Anakin, watching over Daisy who spoke happily with Nyla, turned his head when he heard his name being called. Taking quick steps, he entered the back room, where the sight before him gave him small shivers down his spine.
Raven Reyes was tied to the bed and she was banging her head backwards in attempts to kill herself before the others could use the emt on her to fry whatever thing was in her brain.
"Anakin! Hold her head!" Marie yelped as Raven thrashed her head backwards with more force when Marie got near.
Anakin moved so he could hold the girls head against the headboard, and although she struggled greatly, Anakin was stronger.
"Stop!" Marie shouted as she threw her hands upwards. "If you stop, I'll lead you to Clarke, and the flame."
With the short moment of Raven/Alies distraction, Sinclair snaps the wrist band around Ravens wrist. The action has Raven crying frantically, shaking her head side to side as much as she can with Anakin holding her head. "No! No, no, no! The emp will give me brain damage, I was wrong! It will! Stop!" Anakin cringed when Raven looked right at Murphy, her eyes watering and tears streaming down her face. "Murph, don't let them, please. You've already made me lose my leg, don't let them let me lose my mind."
Sinclair pressed the button, and Raven stoped her cries. Her eyes closed as she waited for the electric shock to her wrist to flow through her body, but nothing happened. She tilted her head, a smirk now resting on her lips. "Ha-ha."
"The rover!" Monty exclaimed and bolted out of the room, leaving Anakin, Raven, Murphy, Sinclair, Octavia and Marie all in the room, Daisy and Nyla in the other room. When he came rushing back, Raven started to thrash again.
This time, she but Anakin when she moved her head. There was blood dropping down the corner of her lips as she took the moment Anakin had moved his hand away, to start thrashing her head back once again.
She needed to die before they could use the emp — or alie wouldn't let Raven live outside of the chip, she would find a way to kill her before she could spill all her secrets.
Limp she went when Sinclair pressed the button once the extra battery was connected. Her body was still, but her heart continued to beat inside her chest as the restraints were removed from her body.
"Why isn't she waking up?" Sinclair asked as he rolled the girl over and tapped her face a few times, hoping it would have worked in waking her up.
"Does Nyla have a med kit?" Murphy asked into the open air, and when Octavia stepped out of the room and returned with a few medical items, he got right to work.
He had seen the AI be removed from Lexa, surly it was similar, right? Otherwise he was just killing her by cutting into the back of her neck.
"She's awake!" Sinclair sighed out as the girl opened her eyes and coughed out a breath of air. "Raven."
"Hey, Sinclair." Raven spoke quietly as the people around her helped her into a sitting position. "My jaw hurts."
Anakin didn't feel bad for how hard he had held her face, it kept her alive.
"That was Anakin, he's sorry."
"No I'm not."
