Reverse Falls
Mystery Mansion

Last night hadn't been the best for Mabel Pines. She was murdered while begging for her life, only to realize later that it was all a simulation, thus, making her look ridiculous in front of the friends of the Dipper of this dimension. Her own Dipper had responded better, pulling a Squirrel girl with a mix of the walking dead. It had been so cool.

It was difficult to get used to Mason's friends since they were very different from the versions of her dimension. The real shocker had been Robbie, he acted like a thin version of her Thompson, just that he wanted Thompson's attention and approval the most. Plus, he was his boyfriend which was a move she would have never expected, at least, in her dimension.

It all seemed surreal.

Mabel had wanted to make a good impression, she always made a good first impression, but last night had been horrible. She was determined to make a good second impression so when Mason invited them to hang out with his friends she said yes. They were going to a fair organised by Gideon's dad, but they assured them it was as cool as it could be without magic involved.

Her brother refused the offer, said that he wanted to finish the book he was reading and gave her a look as if to say and-you-should-too.

Will had given them some books on magical theory that they had to read, and Dipper being the Dipper he was, wanted to finish it as soon as possible. In her opinion, her book could wait a while.

Reverse Falls' fair

Reverse Falls was definitely interesting, everyone and everything was so bizarre yet so familiar. Not only the personalities changed but so did the ages. Dipper would have had a field trip doing research on them, why were some people older whilst others were younger. It was really a pity that he stayed in the Mansion. 

Passing the day on the fair, Mabel noticed how really she missed them all, even Gumpers whom she hadn't see since they arrived. She missed Waddles and wondered what could've happened to him. He probably was in a far away farm living the dream pig life. 

The town's folk were nice, but she received a few confused glances. At first, they thought she was Mabel Gleeful, but after Will called her Ms Mavis, the looks shifted into curiosity. She presented herself as Mason and Mabel's cousin and before she could start making a friendlier conversation, Mason pushed her away of her potentially new friends. He told her that it was better to keep a low profile if she were to suddenly disappear.

Yes, Will Cipher had come with them. Mason wanted him there and nobody refused. They were a couple, after all, it was obvious they'd want to hang out outside the house. Mabel saw him truly happy, just the way her brother was with the Pacifica of her dimension. Honestly, she hadn't seen Mason without scorn or a smirk for as long as today, he resembled her Dipper more that way.

"Mason!" this dimension's Pacifica smiled and ran towards us with her usual friends beside her. And Mabel said usual and not normal since her friends seemed dressed as her Candy and Grenda would.

In an instant, Mason's smile hid behind the very familiar sneer. "What do you want, Southeast?" he said.

Mabel didn't know why Pacifica played with her hair, but she did. "I just wanted... to say — what, what is she doing here?" she said pointing at Mabel with distaste.

"I wasn't aware you two knew each other," Mason said raising his eyebrows.

"Well, she and her cousin stuck their noses where they weren't wanted," Mabel said, she needed Pacifica and co. far away from her business and she and Dipper thought that being mean to them would do the trick, even if Mabel hated being mean to others. "Staff room, Telepathy Tent. Dipper and I told them to get lost."

Mason's face was now unreadable, like Thompson's was, the rest weren't as great doing a poker face. Will eyed her and her group with disdain. Robbie looked terrified of what would happen and kept on looking at Thompson for support. Tambry, Nate and Lee scoffed and smirked at Mabel's attitude.

"And to reply to your earlier comment," Mabel continued, "I can be wherever I want."

Pacifica was at a loss of words before her eyes landed on Robbie. "I can't believe you replaced us with them," she spat.

"Woah chill," Mabel found herself saying, she didn't like Pacifica's demeanour. One thing was being mean, another to pick up on others. "He hasn't replaced anyone, he is just passing the day with his boyfriend, Mason is doing the same thing. I frankly don't see a problem here except for your presence."

"Oh," Pacifica said nonchalantly looking straight at Will, "I didn't see you there."

"Yeah right," Nate scoffed.

"I still don't understand what you see in a man," Pacifica admitted.

"If he chose him, he doesn't deserve you," one of her friends said to her while the other nodded in agreement. "There is obviously something wrong with him."

Ah, they were homophobic.

"Have a problem with two boys kissing?" Mabel decided to try her theory.

"Of course, it's unnatural," Pacifica said without blinking.

"Okay, then! I have nothing else to say to you," she said cheerfully and turning to the rest. "Let's go, we are waisting our time here."

"Thank you for what you did before... with Pacifica, I mean," Mason said when he, Will and Mabel were alone, they were still in the fair but the rest had gone to the bathroom.

"No problem, really. But I can't believe she, of all people, is homophobic!" Mabel stressed.

"How is the Pacifica in your dimension?" he inquired.

"She is badass, cool and very clever, even if a little arrogant," Mabel said. "But before Dipper, she used to date Abha something, a girl she met in one if her visits to India."

Mason pursed his lips. "Was it Abha Khatri?"

Mabel nodded. "I think so, why? You know her?"

"Yes, she is one if Mabel's friends, American with Indian ancestry. She is in juvie."

"Oh," was Mabel's simple response before the rest appeared.

"Sup, guys," Nate greeted them.

Mystery Mansion
Dipper's room

As soon as his counterpart with his friends and sister left, Dipper continued to read his book in his room. It was peaceful and the silence helped him understand that weird names of some things.

He knew he was not alone in the Mansion. Mabel, Stan and Ford Gleeful, plus all the servants, were here. But the silence was so great that he could've been alone for all he knew.

Thinking about them made him nostalgic. He had gone to see his Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford, along with Wendy, Soos, Melody and Gideon. He had missed them. He had missed the town. He had gone to live adventures. But most of all, he had gone to Gravity Falls to see Pacifica again, who was in a trip to Australia with her parents and would come back three days after him. If time there moved as fast as the time in Reverse Falls, it had been more than three days since his arrival.

He would give anything to go back, not that he wouldn't miss the Gleeful but he wanted his family back, not some messed up version of it. And if the Reverse version of Bill said he had to learn magic to go back, he was not going to waist any second.

Who would have known that a version of him would end up with a version of his worse enemy. Perhaps things had gone differently and he too would have ended up with Bill. It was a strange and perturbing thought that rounded his mind.

He yawned, he was starting to get sleepy, he hadn't sleep at all last night, he had stayed up reading the book. He guessed not sleeping had its consequences. Consequences that were catching up with him, fast.

Closing his book and his eyes, he decided it was better to go to sleep, so he would wake up well rested.

When he was in a deep slumber, a faint yellow glow surrendered him. Stucked under his bed and inside the chandelier that illuminated his room, there were some pebbles that acted as a catalyst of the spell Will put when the Pines first arrived.

It would all go well according to Mason's plan so he and his sister could rule side by side.
