Third Person Point of View

"Are you excited, Gray?" Dex asked her as they walked up to the Leapmaster.

"Um yeah, I guess so." That was a lie. The truth was, she was actually kinda scared.

"Have a good day," he hugged her. "And don't forget to report back to me!"

"Of course, Commander Dex!" Gray saluted as she faded into the light.

What if they don't like me?

What if I don't have any friends?

Wait a minute, since when have I cared what people think of me?

Since the Vacker boy looked at me .5 seconds ago.

Gray shook herself and walked up to him.

"Hi! I'm Gray Dizznee. Who might you be?" She held her hand out to shake.

"Oh a Dizznee. The name is Fitz Vacker. I won't be looking forward to seeing you around, Grape." he rolled his eyes.

"Me neither, Ritz Cracker." She stalked off the other way. Or at least tried to, she bumped into someone in the process.

"Oh my gosh! Are you alright?"

The girl in front of her looked to be about twelve or thirteen years old. She had blonde hair and ice blue eyes. She was wearing a blue, Level Two uniform.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Gray was hoping for her name.

"Lilac, Lilac Evans." She held out her hand to shake.

"Gray Dizznee" Gray took it.

"Do you have anyone to sit with at lunch?" Lilac asked.

"No," Gray looked at the ground. "But sitting by myself will suffice."

"Oh, okay then."

"Unless, you're sitting by yourself." She looked up into Lilac's eyes.

"I kinda am."

"Then see you at lunch!"

With that, Gray ran off to The Universe.

Gray's Point of View

Ugh! Of course I have almost all my classes with Ritz Cracker. I hate him! How do you get 'Gray' and 'grape' mixed up?!?! He did that on purpose!

"Miss Dizznee, care to share with the class your thoughts on Mr Vacker?"

There were snickers across the entire classroom and a glare from Ritz Cracker.

"Yes Ma'am, I would. I think he's a spoilt brat who thinks he's better than everyone just because he's AlDeN vAcKeR's son. And its getting annoying." She looked Fitz dead in the eye.

"Detention for a week, Miss Dizznee."

Gray rolled her eyes and went back to thinking of ways to get rid of Fitz...permanently.

Oh no...this can't be happening! Lady Cadence is the detention mentorrrrr! Ughhhh.

"Good day, during your lunch period, you will be expected to peel curlderoots. I wouldn't recommend getting any on you." She snickered.

"How was your first day?" Dex asked excitedly.

"You remember that Vacker boy?" I turned my head to face him.

"Ewwwww...yes." He grimaced.

"He was being so rude today! I called him a Ritz Cracker because Fitz and Ritz rhymes," I laughed. "Oh, I also got dentition."

"You got what?" Dad looks back from Dex to me.

"Detention" I mumble.

"Your mother and I will be having a conversation about this." He turned to walk inside.

And that is how my very first day at Foxfire went!
