With bruised fists and lips that never lift, she likes to beat herself numb and wait til the pain's done.

"I am nothing but a nuisance," she whispers to no one, as she shields her Smuf-blue face. Mercury tears streak down her cheeks, marking permanent tracks in her skin. "I shouldn't have came, and I shouldn't have stayed."
