Chapter 33
Ashton's PoV
The plan worked flawlessly. We'd arrived at the address and banged on the door heavily, as we imagined someone would have done if they were in trouble. Within a second, Dean had swung the door open, his face falling as soon as he saw my gang at his door, evil grins on our faces. We jumped him, beating him and sending things around him crashing to the floor. Sirgani ran in within moments, seeing us attacking his brother and instinctively joined in. They tried to put up a good fight but they were no match for us. We'd been doing this a lot longer than they had and, with the end goal in my mind, it only spurred me on more.
We grabbed them and bundled them into a van, Michael going back in to shake up Francesco before we took off, leaving that house in our dust as we headed to the most remote place we could find at such short notice - an old factory that had been derelict since the owner failed to make enough money on the products he was making. No one had bothered with it since. There were talks of it becoming a housing estate but nothing concrete had been set and therefore, this slightly dilapidated factory was ours now.
We bundled the two men out of the van and into the factory where two old seats were waiting for us, courtesy of myself from a while ago when this plan was originally meant to pan out. Originally the chairs were for Sirgani and myself but this time, Dean was going to need it. I suppose I could make a scene whilst standing. I smirked to myself as the guys tied the victims to their chairs, angst flashing over their faces as they exchanged looks. Were they worried I was pushing this too far?
Earphones suddenly came to mind, stopping me in my tracks. She would hate me for doing this; hurting the few people she was close to - but so what? She hurt me first. I finally opened up to someone and it turned out to be her, only for her to flaunt her relationship with Maya right in front of me.
"Ash." Luke called, attracting my attention and stopping me thinking too much. I looked over to see Dean stirring, finally becoming conscious after we laid into him forcefully. He grunted as he shook his head and looked around, his eyes adjusting to the unfamiliar surroundings.
"Well, well, well... I suppose you're the stronger of the two." I said as I gazed over to Sirgani who was still unconscious. He is going to wish he'd never woken up when he sees what is in store for him.
"Ashton?' Dean mumbled as he racked his brain, knowing he recognised me but couldn't quite remember where or why. I could see it in his face.
"Dean." I stated. "Nice for one of you to finally wake up." As soon as the words had left my lips, Dean looked to his side with fear in his eyes. To my satisfaction, his shoulders drooped as soon as he saw the sorry state his brother was in.
"What the fuck did you do to him?" His demeanour changed suddenly, his eyes narrowing at me.
"Not much. Yet." I laughed. "You two have a lot lined up. It's going to be fun."
"What is this even about? Huh? The bike race? Eva?" I straightened at the mere mention of her name and cursed myself for it as soon as I had. I needed to stay strong, to look like nothing affected me. Why was Earphones even affecting me? I'd never been like this, not even with Amber and I thought I loved her.
"Well, this was about your brother but it seemed you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. You're stuck in it now." I sneered as I paced around them with an eerily calm demeanour. I could tell that even my friends were unsure of my actions too but they daren't tell me that or go against my orders so they just continued as if nothing was wrong.
"You kidnapped us because you lost a couple of races?" Dean snapped, clearly not fearing what was to come. I clenched my fists in anger at how he spoke to me.
"I was hospitalised!" I shouted, making him flinch in his seat. "I could have died because your brother was a fucking reckless piece of shit. Clearly it's just a trait of your whole family." Deans eyes narrowed at me in an instant.
"Don't you dare. Sirgani beat you in a couple of races but me and my dad didn't do anything to you." He paused for a minute, thinking back to when we burst into their house and suddenly his eyes were back on me. I could see Sirgani beginning to stir and I smiled. Oh how this was going to be perfect. "What the fuck did you do to our dad?" I paced around again, happy with myself as I said the words in such an unbothered tone I even scared myself.
"If you're lucky, he might still be alive." The smile crept back onto my face, angering Dean more. He thrashed about on the chair, desperate to free himself and hit me.
"I swear to you if you've hurt my dad I'll kill you." Dean hissed through gritted teeth just as his brother awoke, looking around to adjust to the setting. "Sig, you okay?" His voice softened instantly as he looked at his brother. Sirgani nodded back drowsily.
"What's going on?" He mumbled as he finally laid his eyes on me. Within a second, his demeanour changed. He straightened in the chair and narrowed his eyes at me. "What the hell's going on Ashton? What is this?"
"This is all over your fucking races." Dean snapped. "He's taken us both and beaten up Dad." Once again Sirgani's eyes were on me.
"If you've hurt our dad I swear-" he began but I was quick to butt in.
"Yeah yeah, you'll hurt me or kill me or whatever. But only if you get there first."
