32-The Roof🦋
"Sir. Please let go of me. Really." The girl pleads. But Perkins just pulls her closer.
"But Angel. I can offer you more then anyone else." He purrs.
"... But Sir.... my mother just passed away... I'm here on her behalf to complete what she started. Sir I can't do that or it will break me." She says softly, letting a few tears escape. Perkins looks at her, her eyes now a deep blue color, with pity. He releases her.
"If you'd like to take up my offer please call me." He says handing her a business card. She nods and walks back into the kitchen to grab a drink.
"(Y/n)! Let's head to the roof. " Connor says walking into the kitchen. The girl is facing away from the door, leaning on the counter with one hand and holding a glass of water in the other.
"Are you ok?" Connor asks rubbing her shoulders.
"That Perkins is a real creep." She tells him, her voice shaking.
"Did he do something to you?" Connor asks turning her around. Tears streaming down her face.
"He just grabbed me... just my waist..." she says leaning her head against his chest.
"I'm s-" Connor starts but the girl cuts him off.
"I hate human men... I absolutely hate them!" She says extremely calm but her fists clenched, her knuckles turning white.
"Hey... we'll get through this. Let's just finish this case first." Connor says rubbing her back. The girl looks at him and nods, a smile ghosting her lips.
The two walk up the stairs to the roof. The cold instantly hitting the two causing the girl to shiver with the wind.
"Hey ova herya!" An fbi guy says to the two. The two look and see a bag inside is a single parachute.
"Did they pack an extra parachute?" The girl asks.
"No. This was all to planned. Maybe... just maybe... one was left here!" Connor says and then quickly scans the area. He spots a smear of blue blood on one of the mechanisms.
"Let's follow the trail." The girl says giddily. She bounces before grabbing her stomach and mouth slightly sick.
"Are you sick?" Connor asks concerned.
"No. Just jumped a little too much." She smiles.
"Are you cold?" He asks. The girl gestures to the oversized jacket she's wearing. "Right. Lieutenant! I found a trail!" Connor yells to hank. Who joins the two in following the trail. Connor takes a lead and opens the locker like container that has blue blood handprints on the opening.
Before Connor could open it, the door bursts open and the deviant inside starts shooting. Hank grabs the girl and Connor, shoving them behind one of the mechanisms.
"Stay here you two! We'll wait until it runs out of ammo." Hank yells the two sternly. Connor, who is closest to the area of fire keeps peeking out.
Suddenly he jumps out and starts to avoid all the bullets. The girl gets out from hiding as he starts to wrestle the other android. Hank yells out to Connor, scared of him getting injured.
Just as soon as Connor gets there, the gun is shot again and the deviant goes limp. But the look on the male androids face broke the girl's heart.
"Connor you ok?" Hank says rushing to his aid.
"Im ok." Connor says his voice cracking. The girl devastated by the state her man is in, she stumbles over and used Hank as a crutch to be there as Connor has been there for her.
"I-i was connected to its memories. I saw a word... j-Jericho. Written on rusty metal." Connor continues. Hank goes to say something but Connor keeps talking. "I felt her die. I felt scared." Connor says completely broken.
