Your Pov

It's finally prom night.

Most normal girls of my age would be thrilled to be able to go. According to the shows and movies I have seen, prom is important and special. It sure doesn't seen special to me though. I don't want to go to prom. The only reason I accepted Jeffory's invitation was because we are friends. Next thing I know Vylad invites his brother and his friends and I am forced to go to prom with them. Why am I so unlucky?

Anyway, I'm on my way to Cadenza's dorm to pick up the dress she made me. She had been working on all of our outfits since the day we decided to go. I don't think she ever had a break.

Before I even get to knock, Cadenza's door swings open. Cadenza is standing there looking very tired but also very happy.

"Y/n! I just finished your dress! I'm going to go get it. You can come in if you want."

She steps away from the door and let's me walk in. I walk over to her bed and sit down while she goes to her work area.

"Thanks for making the dress Cad. You really didn't have to do it. I could just have gone to a store and gotten one."

"It's not big deal. I love making clothes so I'm just happy you let me make it. I hope you like it."

"If you made it, it's bound to be beautiful."

"Awww, you are just too sweet. Here you go."

She hands me a black garment bag which I assume has the dress inside. I thank her and leave the dorm room. As I walk to my room with the dress, I run into Lucinda.

"Oh hey. I see Cadenza finished your dress," Lucinda says looking at the bag in my hands.

"Yeah, I'm heading to my room to try it on. Did you get yours already?"

"No, I'm on my way to her dorm right now. I guess I'll see you later."

"Okay. Bye, Lucinda."

We walk in opposite directions. Her towards Cadenza's dorm room and me toward mine.

When I make it to my dorm, I quickly open the door and step inside. I accidentally close the door a little too hard and cause Nicole to come rushing out of her room.

"What happened? Are you okay? Did you die?" Nicole asks in a rush.

"No. I'm okay. I just closed the door too hard."

She calms down and walks towards me. She grabs the bag I was carrying and questions me about it.

"Is this the dress?!? Are you going to put it on?!? Can you put it on right now? I want to see it! I bet you will look gorgeous in it."

"Yes, that is the dress. Yes, I'm putting it on right now. And thanks for saying I'll look good in it."

I take back the bag and head into my room to try on the dress.

I take off my clothes and take the dress out of the bag. It looks beautiful. It's long and it isn't too poofy. I knew Cadenza would create something beautiful.

This is the dress but in your favorite color. Do you like it?

I unzip the back of the dress and carefully put it on. I try to zip it up again but I can't. Why must my arms be short?

I'd better call Nicole and ask her to help me.

"Hey, Nicole?"

"Yes?"

"Can you come into my room for a moment?"

"Alright, but you better be dressed."

She knocks on the door before coming in. She seen the dress and gasps.

"It's beautiful."

"Is know right. Cadenza did a great job with it. Can you help zip up the back though?"

"Okay."

Nicole tells me to turn around so I do. I move my hair forward to allow her to zip up the dress. Nicole gasps quietly.

"I didn't know you had a scar. Dang, you're a beauty and a bad ass."

I completely forgot about the scar. Oh my Irene, I messed up. She better not ask questions.

Fortunately, Nicole zips up the dress and doesn't ask any questions about the scar.

She then leaves to her own room to put on her dress and get ready. Meanwhile, I put on a pair of black heels that Nicole let me borrow. I decide to leave my hair down and to not apply much make up. I just put on lip gloss and mascara.

As I walk out of my room, Nicole also walks out of her room. I can't help but gasp when I see how beautiful she looks.

This is Nicole's outfit.

"Wow! You look beautiful, Nicole."

"Thanks. You look gorgeous, Y/n."

"Thank you. Are you ready to meet up with the others?"

"Sure."

Nicole and I leave the dorm. We all decided to meet up in Vylad and Jeffory's dorm so Nicole and I head there.

When we make it to the dorm, Nicole knocks on the door and Vylad answers. He is dressed in a suit that Cadenza made and he looks stunning.

This is Vylad's outfit. Just ignore the sunglasses.

"Hello, beautiful ladies. I see you finally decided to show up."

Nicole rolls her eyes and we both enter the dorm. Cadenza and Lucinda are sitting on the couch while Jeffory is sitting on a chair near them. Cadenza turns around and sees us. She gets up and walks towards me and Nicole.

"Y/n! Nicole! You girls look gorgeous!"

Nicole and I thank her and smile. Cadenza looks great too. Her dress is tight and makes her look beautiful.

This is Cadenza's dress.

"You look great too Cad! I love your dress," Nicole tells her.

"I agree. You look very lovely, Cadenza."

Cadenza laughs and smiles. She puts a hand on her cheek.

"Aww, geez you guys. You make me blush."

We laugh and join Lucinda and Jeffory. They both stand up to great me and Nicole. Can I just say that Cadenza is a wonderful person? She literally made six outfit in less than a week.

This is Lucinda's dress.

This is Jeffory's suit. Just ignore the hat.

"You both look wonderful," I tell them.

"Thanks, girl. You look great too," Lucinda tells me. Jeffory nods in agreement.

"Thanks guys. Should we go now?"

Everyone agrees, so we all headed out of the dorm. We all start to head to the parking lot where we decide who goes with who.

Nicole and I get in Vylad's car. Vylad drives and Nicole and I sit in the back. Meanwhile, Jeffory and Lucinda get in Cadenza's car but Jeffory drives.

It doesn't take long to get to Phoenix Drop High. Only about thirty minutes.

When we get there, we park the cars and go to the front entrance to meet up with our "dates." I see a group of people standing outside. In the group, I notice Garroth, Laurance, Travis, Dante, Aphmau, and another girl.

Once they see us they greet us and we decide on the partners. Vylad is with Aphmau, Cadenza is with Garroth, Nicole is with Dante, Lucinda is with Travis, and Jeffory is with the girl who I learned is Katelyn. I was unfortunately paired with Laurance. At least it wasn't Garroth.

As we all walked to the entrance I look at everyone's outfits.

These are their outfits. Whose is the best?

They all looked great. I just hope they don't screw up tonight. Vylad wand the others were very excited for tonight and I don't want their night to be ruined by my petty arguments with Garroth and his friends.

As soon as we stepped into the auditorium where prom was being held, we decided to find a table. We found two tables next to each other that fit six people each. I was about to sit down when Laurance asked me to dance with him.

"Hey, beautiful. Want to go dance for a while? It'll be fun, I promise."

In other circumstances, I would have rejected him and walked away. However, seeing as I already had a bad relationship with these people, I didn't want to be rude. Any rude gesture can trigger an explosion of questions.

I agreed to dance with him. I thought it would be harmless. I was wrong.
