'Well this is rare, Eta hardly visits me, especially in my Cid perona... Unless it's to experiment on me...'

In a rather ordinary-looking bedroom, two specific individuals can be seen in said room, currently engaged in a conversation with one another.

"To see you here personally, must mean you have something important to report to me?"

One of the two was a young-looking man in his early teens, who seemed to be dressed in a school uniform; he had short, black hair, narrow silver-black eyes, and was currently sitting on his bed, acting as if he were in control. He was known as Cid Kageno, aka Lord Shadow. In his mind, despite how he was acting now, he was beyond confused and curious about what was happening.

"... I humbly request... Your help on something... Interesting..."

The second person was a young woman, around the same age, with elven ears, long brown hair, tired purple eyes, and she was adorned in a slimy bodysuit with a stylized cloak and scarf; she was known as Eta, and she was currently kneeling and bowing before her Lord, who was listening to what she had to say.

"Hm, please continue then."

'I swear to God, if it's you wanting to cut me open again...'

Even though Cid was willing to listen, he was preparing to spank "The Desire To Research And Cut Him Open To See How He Ticks" out of her, though luckily for him, it was not needed this time, as she instead pulled something out of her slime suit and gave it to him.

"I have recently... Discover something... That can either help... Or pose a great threat... To you, Lord Shadow..."

As soon as Eta even mentioned the possibility of something being a threat to her Master, he immediately reacted to this by glaring at her; his black eyes flickered with red, and he released a presence, without using any magic, but still so strong that it was enough to make even the usually sleepy elf sit up straight and become completely tense.

"You must have a reason to say such blasphemy to me..."

'Hell Yeah! Cross out "Get Mad At Subordinate For Doubting My Strength" off the bucket list~"

Cid's mental cheer and excitement did not match his silent anger that he expressed on his face, which was all his subordinates could see and caused them to let out nervous sweats as a result.

"I-I have no doubt or question about your amazing strength and power!"

She accidentally yelled, forcing herself to take a moment to calm down and focus on the task at hand before resuming the conversation.

"B-But these Dragon Balls-"

"Dragon Balls? You mean the one that summons a Dragon and grants wishes?"

Before Eta could say anything else, Cid cut her off and said something that both surprised her and even himself a little.

"So you have heard of them?"

She couldn't help but look at her Lord with a disbelieving expression.

'I feel like I have? I think it's from an anime or manga I used to watch from my old world? Meh, fuck it, might as well use what little I know from that to make me sound mysterious and all knowing.'

Cid, after letting the confusion pass and taking a second to remember what little he knew of his past life, cleared his throat and prepared to speak to the now very awake elf.

"Several 100 years ago, maybe even close to a 1000 years ago, there was a nameless child that came from beyond the stars and landed in our home world, their origin unknown, purpose unknown, even their name was unknown, for so most of their life, that all they will ever know, until one day, when they met the many lives in our world, they met the good, the bad, and the ugly, and because of meeting such people, the nameless has decided to learn and test us, to see how far our good and bad will take us, which lead to the creation of the Dragon Balls, which was not made out of generosity, but as a way to test us, and to see whether or not we would risk everything, whether in ourselves or on others, to make a wish come true."

Cid gave a very brief explanation and history of the Dragon Ball, though even he knew it sounded rushed and left a lot untold; he mentally begged for the elf to accept it as part of his 'Shadow Wisdom'.

"... Your vast knowledge will never cease to amaze me, my Lord."

Mentally cheering himself on when he saw that Eta seemed to believe what he just bullshitted to her, thinking he was clear and out of the awkward situation.

"But if you knew about their existence, why didn't you go looking for them?"

Unfortunately, his brief victory was ruined by yet another question from Eta that left him very worried and sweating profusely.

'What do you mean, I just heard about them being real today!'

Unlike before, where Cid grasped for straws when making up an origin that was probably untrue, he could at least come up with a reason as to why he, a "Eminence In Shadow", didn't go looking for them, while also making himself look good in the process.

"Because why would I make a wish for something that I already possess?"

Cid's subordinate couldn't help but be in awe at the mere implications of what he just said, even if it was complete bullshit.

'Besides, even if I knew about them early on, I don't think I would even bother going looking for them, like what would I even wish for? I already have power, so that's pointless, and wishing to become a true Shadow broker would be to cheap, immortality and being rich is definitely temping, but I don't want to live forever forever, and I have other ways to make money than spend my whole life looking for those damn balls across the world.'

Cid sighed; even if such a thing existed, it would be completely useless to someone like himself, though it did make him think and realize something.

"You mentioned that these items were a threat to me, is someone planning to use them against me or something?"

Cid looked back at the elf, who nodded her head yes when he asked her that question.

"You've made a lot of enemies, Master, especially from the Cult themselves, and no one will stop at nothing to see you disappear, both figuratively and literally."

What Eta said definitely made Shadow wear a more serious expression, leaning forward and resting his chin on his hands.

'I guess this is what you call karma, who knew that the bandits were this angry at me for hunting them.'

Though, despite the threat that existed for him now, he did not look worried at all; instead, he looked very motivated and even a little excited. He quickly stood up and gave the elf a very determined expression, which caused his eyes to glow red.

"Then it seems like I have no choice, we shall hunt for these Dragon Balls and keep them locked away from everyone, they shall never be used for anyone's selfish needs."

Cid quickly transformed into his "Lord Shadow" form and spoke in a tone that was very commanding and intimidating.

"Eta, this is a direct order from me, the Seven Shades will stop whatever they're doing and help me look for these wish granting Orbs, no matter the cost."

As soon as Shadow gave the order, his subordinate nodded and bowed in understanding.

"It shall be done, thank you for accepting my request in assisting me in this manner."

And with that, Eta disappeared in a dramatic and stylish fashion, which Cid watched with approval and appreciation. After all was said and done, he looked out the window and watched the full moon light up the night sky; he couldn't help but look at it with a light smile.

'I guess I can cross "Go On A One Piece Like Adventure" off my bucket list.'

My original plan was to have Goku be raised and be a somewhat brother figure to Shadow/Cid, unfortunately I realized how difficult it would be to have him as a main character, since it would be hard to share the limelight and such, also I can't imagine how I'm supposed to do certain fights like Vegeta, Frieza and others, I feel like the only difference would be that Cid joins the main fight, and that lame to me, so in the end, I've decided to cut out Goku completely.

(However in exchange i will be probably add more Dragon Ball characters, maybe, I'm still thinking about it)

Star 7: The first dragon ball would be located at Red Ribbon Army base, which is also Cult related, and unfortunately Sherry will be a part of it.

Star 5: They're gonna infiltrate an important place and steal it, but have to get past Mercenary Tao, a hired bodyguard.

Star 4: The owner of Mitsugoshi meets the owner of the Rabbit Mob, Monster Carrot.

Star 3: A crime boss lord fights with King Gurumes.

(Delta, Yukime, Juggernaut)

Star 2: The Immortal Garlic Jr took over Mary and Elisabeth home and needs help getting it back.

Star 1: Iris is corrupted and tricked by the true leader of the Cult which is Tambourine, Shula, Gola and Melee.

[I am open to other suggestions for what Villains they should face in this "Finding The Dragon Ball" Arc, it has to be a villain from the classic, so no Z or Super characters, I mean, unless they're from earth and can actually pose a threat]
