Chapter 10: Da Fabulous Grand Finale

Ryder and I hang out more often after the proposal. The bond between the both of us grew stronger and stronger whenever we made eye contact. The both of us knew that this was true love so we pushed the wedding date closer. Ryder was thrilled and he immediately notified his wolf pack about the great news. The wolf pack
was mostly supportive and gave Ryder their blessings. However, there were some that disapproved and advised Ryder to wait a little longer.
Ryder of course did not pay any attention to them as they were clearly jealous that their leader, at the age of a mere hundred years old, was  engaged to a beautiful bride.

School just ended and Ryder and I decided to hang out together. We had a dilemma on whether to go to Starbucks or Awfully Chocolate. In the end, we decided to chill at my house. I know there would be unnecessary drama if Ryder came through my front door so he has to climb through my windows. That wasn't hard for Ryder as he has done that sometime back. The things we do for love. 💕💞

When we reached my front gate, I immediately made sure that neither my mother or grandma was around. Convinced, I signaled to Ryder to climb the tree. Ryder was extremely swift and agile. Before I knew it, he entered my room.

I heaved a sigh of relief and strolled like a sassy princess into my mansion. I was met with the confused looks of my siblings. Grandma raised an eyebrow but eventually brushed it off. I danced my way to my bedroom and elegantly closed the door with a loud bang.

Ryder was keeping himself engaged as he started at my video games. Wanting to impress him, I started to play two games. They were none either than Undertale and Touhou.

I played the boss battle with Sans and won in a single round. For a moment, I thought it was the end for Sans but I suddenly remembered that skeletons don't bleed. Ryder was speechless. Well, I don't blame him.

Next, I moved on to Touhou. I played a single round with lunatic mode and won! Ryder still couldn't believe his eyes and had a facial expression priceless enough to become a legendary meme. To be honest, I had never ever played the games before. But it seemed like I was a natural born gamer!

The both of us got bored after playing the games for around half an hour. Coincidentally, both if our stomachs grumbled! Well, the both of us have not eaten lunch yet...

I suddenly had a brilliant idea. I told Ryder the plan and we quickly got into action.

I slowly, exceptionally and quietly opened my bedroom doors millimeter by millimeter. As a result, I took about twenty minutes to open the door. What? You can't blame me. I don't wanna get caught.

After opening the door, Ryder and I tiptoe to the kitchen. Just to make sure that my family is occupied, I peered into the living room. My intuition was 200% correct. They were watching 'How To Train Your Dragon'.

Taking the opportunity, Ryder and I spindashed into the kitchen. Well, you see, dashing and sprinting are too mainstream so we decided to do something a little different.

We safely infiltrated the kitchen and started feasting. Ryder starting eating potato chips while I ate Doritos. After eating two whole packs, I decided to open a third. However, I wanted to spice things up so I fetched some melted nachos cheese.

Unfortunately, I tripped over some air and spilt the cheese on the floor. How wasted. Suddenly, someone cleared their throat and I immediately knew who it was. I turned my head to face my greatest nemesis. Mom.

"What do you think you're doing?" Mom raised an eyebrow as she glanced at Ryder before returning her gaze to me, her eldest daughter.

"Isn't it obvious? I accidentally dropped some cheese." I retorted.

My other family members including Grandma entered the kitchen, curious to see the drama unravelling before their natural coloured eyes.

"I see that you brought a boy into the house."

"Well, duh. And that's not all, we're getting married soon!"

"You're not joking right?"

"Of course not! Why would I joke over such a serious manner?"

It was then I made my decision to marry Ryder as soon as possible. I'm really disappointed in my family as they started laughing so loudly.

How rude! Sheesh! Ryder was really disappointed as well as he shook his head. Not wanting to stay, we left the house and drove away on my sleek, polished, black motorbike.

Ryder came up with an idea and directed me to his wolf pack. I drove for around fifteen minutes and reached a neighborhood.

Yes, that's right. Ryder's pack was so large that they occupied an entire neighborhood.

It was already late afternoon when we reached the neighborhood. I must say, the neighborhood was a piece of art. The houses were all mansions and there was a park too. On top of that, there was a Golden Village cinema in the neighborhood.

The weather was humid so I styled my hair in a messy bun. Ryder brought me to his mansion as he wanted me to enjoy the air con in his home and to let me chill. What a amazing gentleman.

We drove to his place and my jaw literally dropped. Ryder's home was not a mansion. It was a castle. I mean, it looked like a replica of the castle at Disneyland. Like legit.

Before even entering the castle, Ryder suddenly dashed across the road. At the corner of my rainbow coloured eye, I spotted an expensive looking sports car. The car was speeding so fast that it looked like it was actually in an actual race. It took me quite a while but I finally comprehended the situation. I attempted to save my prince but alas, he was hit.

Ryder was hit and he was thrown off his feet. He went soaring in the air like a torpedo. I waited for the dreaded moment in fear. And I heard it, the loud crash that followed suit. The worst part was that this dumb girl stood there on the spot, eyes wide and mouth hanging open. Neither did she help her soul mate nor did she stop the driver.

The driver, realizing he has injured his pack leader, turned pale. He then drove away in fear.

I quickly rushed over and inspected Ryder. Luckily the poor boy wasn't badly hurt, there were only scratches and bruises on his body. I heaved a sigh of relief. All was good until the ambulance arrived. They took Ryder away on a stretcher. Noticing me, one of the paramedics escorted me onto the ambulance.

The ride was unbearably suffocating. I was just sitting on the seat, just clinging to whatever hope I have left. Time to seemed to past slowly. I thought the ride took three hours but in reality, it only took fifteen minutes.

Ryder was rushed into the emergency ward while I was left outside. The doctor in charge told me he would do his very best to save his pack leader. FYI, this was still part of the werewolf neighborhood.

After like what it seemed like forever, the doctor exited the ward with a grim expression. I know what it meant. I was blown away. How could a simple date go so wrong?

The doctor told me the funeral would be at eight thirty. He also said that he had already contacted all my family members, Harry and Karen. He advised me to change into a fresh piece of clothing. I nodded my head and thanked him for doing his best.

I went home and changed into a elegant looking black dress and got reading for the wake.

I arrived at eight thirty sharp. As promised, my family members and friends were there. Of course members of the wolf pack were also present. And there it was, at the end of the room surrounded by flowers, Ryder. There was sad music playing in the background. That was a very sad atmosphere.

I gulped and took a seat, suddenly, the music drastically changed. I was shocked. A million questions ran through my mind. Why did the music change? Why wasn't anyone feeling strange as well? Why was Harry trying not to laugh?

A loud sound erupted. Ryder sprang and whooped. It was like he didn't get injured at all. Ryder spotted me and jogged towards me, he then came down on his knees. He was in the same posture when boys propose to girls. Woah woah woah woah

"Would you marry me? I promise to make you the happiest girl alive. By the way, if you haven't noticed, this was all a setup to test if you really love me."

"Of course I love you Ryder. I'm just glad that you're okay. And yes, I will marry you."

Everyone in the room applauded. Ryder and I finally kissed. It was a magical moment. This is the happy ending to my fairytale.
