Chapter Sixteen

"What?" Raph asked, and I tried to stop staring.
"Dude..." Mikey muttered, summing up my thoughts. Raph had red hair that flopped over his green eyes, which looked amazing, by the way. He had a red t shirt on, a black leather jacket, and army boots. He looked seriously amazing and adorable....did I just say that? Anyway, Raph caught me staring and blushed like crazy.
"Would you stop staring, Grayson?" I blushed.
"Sorry...." Sadly, though, I continued to stare. What the heck is wrong with me?

************
Mikey was the last one to slip his watch on, and once he did, he actually looked adorable. I'm saying that from a friend perspective, by the way. Anyway........he had fluffy, wavy blonde hair, freckles, and bright blue eyes. He wore an orange t shirt and brown cargo shorts, with sneakers. Kristal couldn't stop staring at Mikey, either. Ok, so I'm not the only weird one.

************
"So, we stay human, guys, till we take these off." Donnie explained, and Raph rolled his eyes.
"Wow, Don, thanks for stating the obvious." Sarcasm laced his voice, making me laugh.
"Dude, we should go out! Watch a movie or something!" Mikey yelled.
"Ooh, sounds fun!" I replied, and Raph rolled his eyes again.
"How cliché, man." I smiled and laced my fingers in Raph's. His eyes widened, but he didn't let go. Quite the opposite, actually. He squeezed my hand and smiled.
"Aww, Raph." Mikey whispered, but surprisingly enough, Raph didn't retort. He actually smiled at Mikey.
"Man, I know, right?" I stared at my boyfriend in shock.
"You just turned down the opportunity to tease Mikey. What happened?" He smiled.
"You happened." He kissed me lightly and quickly, but let me go. I just stared up at him, at a loss for words. Meanwhile, everyone else was too.
"Raphie has gone soft." Leo whispered, and with that, Raph dragged me out of the barn.

*********
"Raph......" I started, but he cut me off.
"I love you, Emilee. And now, I can finally take you on a date. That's why I said the movie idea was cliché. I didn't want Mikey ruining our fun."
"Aww, Raph! I love you too! I'd love to go on a date with you!" I flung my arms around him, and he hugged me back. It felt weird, having him be human, but whatever. I'm not picky.

***********
I finished brushing out my hair and looked at myself in the mirror. My short, brown hair was down, with my classic blue streak in the front. I had a black off-the-shoulder shirt on, jeans, and boots. I still wore the locket my brother gave me for my thirteenth birthday. I missed him...

I jumped down the stairs, and walked outside, slipping my leather jacket on. The stars looked amazing out here. You don't exactly see stars in the city. Too much smog and pollution. I sat down on the stairs of the farmhouse, gazing up at the sky. I saw a few constellations, something I missed from the clear California skies (as Jump City is in California). I stared at them for a while, taking in their beauty, when Raph sat next to me, in his human form.
"I didn't know you liked stars." I nodded.
"Love them. It reminds me of when I was in Jump City." I absentmindedly, continuing to stare at the stars.
"Awesome. How'd you see them past the smog?"
"Jump didn't have any. Pretty clean there, actually. It was always really warm too, even in the winter. The whole place was just...perfect." I sighed, thinking about my old home.
"A clean city? Well, that's a first." He muttered, and I smiled.
"Yeah. So...what was New York like?" I asked, and his face fell.
"It was awesome. My brothers and I would skateboard on the rooftops, beat up baddies, go to this awesome restaurant called Murakami's. He served the best Pizza Gyoza. Now, all that's changed. Shredder and the Kraang probably enslaved the whole city by now." He looked down sadly, and I put my head on his shoulder.
"You'll be able to go back. I know it." He sighed.
"I sure hope so. Let's talk about something less...depressing. You know, it's kind of weird that I love you so much, but don't even know your favorite color." I laughed.
"Purple, red, and blue. You?"
"Red." I smiled.
"Figured."
"So...what do you wanna do tonight?" He asked me, and I shrugged.
"Dunno. What do you wanna do?"
"Movie?"
"That's so cliché, man." He chuckled.
"I know. I've never done this before." I smiled and stood up, offering him my hand. He looked at it and up at me, confused.
"C'mon. I've got the perfect idea." He took my hand and stood up. I dragged him off, but not before he sheepishly laced his fingers in mine, seeming a little awkward and embarrassed. I smiled to myself. He was too cute.
