Chapter Seven.
[ a.n / this chapter you revive your hissatsu, so please place your own hissatsu name whenever you see ' [h/S] ' this stands for Hissatsu, SHOT. yes, you're a forward. lol. ]
It's been about three days, and finally you were being discharged. You moved all your things into your aunt's apartment, and she left the guest room to you. She wasn't home very often, so you had the apartment to yourself most of the time - so as a thank you, you'd clean and make dinner even. She wasn't a bad woman, in fact, she was lovely. It was just the burden of having to care for a child that wasn't even yours, all while your husband had left you not very long ago. You felt bad she had to take care of you, but you didn't have any other family, and she was kind enough to take you in. Your aunt registered you to the school of your choice, that choice being Raimon. So after dressing, and eating breakfast, you grabbed your bag and went off to school.
The walk wasn't very far, and a few neighbors actually said hello to you. After so long in the hospital, you weren't used to talking to people, so you were very nervous. Even still, you happily smiled and bowed to the old men and women that did the same to you. Raimon town was absolutely lovely, you couldn't be happier that you transferred here - despite Nosaka and Nishikage still weighing at the back of your mind. . . You wondered if they'd go to see you, and be disappointed after hearing you left. Without telling them and all. Maybe they would care, maybe they wouldn't. Who knows?
You pulled out the slip of paper that had a map of the school, it was rather confusing to be honest, Raimon was huge. Standing at the front gate, you stared down at the map, squinting. Okay, you'd probably never find your way around, and were too nervous to ask for help - so you'd maybe try and make your way to the office. That being said, you ended up just wandering around to the back of the school, staring at the grassy fields. If you didn't get a move on, you'd be late, but you didn't even know where to go. . . So, what now?
Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted a student watering off to the side. You looked a little closer, and noticed it was Hiura, maybe he could help you? Although, you didn't want to bother him so. . . You just strayed off to the side hoping he'd notice you and say hello. To your delight, he actually did.
"Oh, [L/n]-san! Good morning." The blue haired male perked up as soon as he saw you. He quickly shut off the water hose so he wouldn't actually drench you - then scurried over. "You're wearing the Raimon uniform. . ." Hiura smiled to himself.
"Good morning, Hiura." You bowed your head, earning a small chuckle from the male.
"What are you doing out here? Class will start soon, have you not visited the office yet?" Hiura asked, rather concerned. You weren't sure how to respond, so you just waited, then finally shook your head.
"I kind of got lost." You managed to mutter out nervously. Hiura stared at you for a moment before smiling.
"That's okay, I'll take you." He started to roll up the water hose, as if his work here was already done.
"You could just direct me, Hiura-"
"Do you not want me to escort you?" Suddenly his purple hues lifted up to you in confusion. How could you possibly say no to him - not that you were going to anyway.
"N-no, I'd actually like that. Thank you so much." You breathed out, furrowing your brows. He turned his face away in embarrassment, cheeks tinted the softest shade of pink. After you gave him a hand in putting the water hose away, Hiura lead you inside the school. He pointed out a few important rooms, and you two actually started a really nice conversation, until you were bitterly interrupted.
"Hiura, who is this?" A very familiar female had stepped in front of you two, her eyes were sharp and blue, with strawberry blonde hair. You didn't know her name, but you remember what had happened a few days ago. She seemed rather close with Nosaka, but you wouldn't bother asking why. . .
"This is [L/n] [F/n], she just transferred to Raimon. I'm taking her to the principal's office." Hiura responded very cleanly, he was a responsible young man, you were sure of it. The girl averted her eyes from the male, and started to stare you down. Yes, you were in the uniform, so you were a student, even if she didn't know you.
"I am Mikado Anna, the school's president." She spoke up, "as president, I will take you to the principal's office. Hiura, please get to class." Her tone of voice was quite intimidating, you didn't like it. At all. Hiura stood there for a moment before nodding, he kindly bid you goodbye before leaving. You couldn't tell, but Hiura didn't want to leave you, and especially not with Anna. He didn't know what happened with you and Nosaka, but he knew it wasn't good, and to be very honest; Hiura wanted to be the one to protect you. He wanted to welcome you to this school, and show you a new life, something happier and brighter, he wanted to learn all about you. There was just something glittering in your eyes, that drew him to you - without realizing that the glitter was desperation.
"It's nice to meet you." Being as polite as you were, you bowed your head to Anna, despite not wanting to. She continued to watch you, before gesturing you to follow behind her. There was no way you were going to walk beside her, so she could stare you down the entire way? I think not. Even while you were trying to ignore her, she felt the need to make her presence known.
"Are you a friend of Nosaka-san's?" She asked nonchalantly.
"Yes." Against your will, you replied quickly. She came to a halt, and turned around to face you.
"How could you treat him the way you did the other day"" As if she was some detective spy, Anna started to interrogate you. Completely shocked, you froze in your place. How could she say that? How did she have the audacity to say such a thing.
". . . You should stay out of this. It's none of your business." You stared her right in the eyes, before walking straight past her. What the hell was she talking about anyway? What could he possibly be going through that deserves forgiveness for being such a liar, for leading on three girls and probably even more?
You were given your time table, and the rest of the things you'd need. Today you'd only picking up your things and finding your way around instead of attending classes - that would have been to fast. Given the kind of condition you were in, the teachers were all keen on taking things as slow as possible with you. So you thanked them. After you'd done whatever was needed, you decided to visit the soccer team, hopefully Hiura would want to see you there.
To your absolute joy, he was ecstatic to see you. He was so sweet, you could even feel your face heating up whenever speaking to him.
"So- have you decided?" Asuto had joined the two of you, which brought the female keeper over, and a few other members of the team.
"Decided on what?" Your head tilted to the side.
"Will you join the soccer team! Of course!" He happily clapped his hands together. Your eyes blinked in confusion, and you looked over at the rest of the team, all were eager for your answer - including Hiura.
"D-don't you have to test me or something? I couldn't possibly bear to be a burden on the team. Please at least see me play." Clasping your hands together and bring them up to your chest, you were almost pleading the team. They didn't have any objections, in fact, one of them was very pleased with your answer.
"She's smarter than she looks." A short male had muttered, even though it was half an insult, you still smiled.
"Wow, that's a good idea!" Asuto perked up.
"What position do you play?" The captain had asked you, which you later learned the name of; Michinari Tatsumi. It'd been a while since you last kicked around a ball, but you remembered what you used to play at least.
"Forward." Your head lifted. "But, after seeing me play, you're welcome to place me on whatever position you think fits best."
"Very well. Norika will be at the goal, you'll play five minutes against a forward, then a defender, a middle fielder, then just you and the keeper. Is this okay?"
"It's perfect!"
So, let the test begin.
You were pit against Goujin Tetsunosuke, a very strange forward on the team. Once the whistle was blown, you pushed the ball to the left with the side of your foot, the first to touch it. He seemed to be stumbling after you the entire time, so might as well stop toying with the poor guy. Luckily it seemed you hadn't lost your touch. You slipped past Goujin, and made your way to the goal, a clean shot to the corner - which Norika had managed to catch. Shoot.
Next you were against a defender, Iwato Takeshi, also known as Golem. He didn't do well with getting the ball from you, but his hissatsu had caught you off guard. Now. If you could just remember your own. Your eyes narrowed.
Swiping a heel against the ball, you went for the kill.
"Hissatsu! [h/S]!" The ball broke past Golem, and slipped into the goal. Norika hadn't exactly expected this. You then played against a middle fielder, and lastly just against Norika. She wasn't able to catch your shot again, which, landed you a clean spot on the team.
"Welcome aboard." Michinari reached a hand out, which you happily shook. Asuto threw himself onto you in a hug, and then you pulled Hiura into it as well.
Mikado Anna had watched you the entire time. . .
Against all your protests, Michinari had placed you on the team for your first official match, which was against Zeus. Aka, the team that almost wrecked the original Raimon. This was terrifying, but with people like Asuto and Hiura on your side, you could feel excitement bubbling at the pit of your stomach.
The match against Zeus was difficult, you couldn't break past their relentless defense, and their keeper was something else - but with a lot of time and effort, you managed to secure two goals for the team. Kozoumaru Sasuke also managed a pretty goal, and your team had won. Your first match in the Football Frontier, and Nosaka wasn't there to see it. He had his own match against Seishou. . .
"Thank you very much for the match." Your team bowed to Zeus. They were good sports, and all shook your hand. All except Afurodi, who kissed the back of your hand instead.
"You're very welcome, my Goddess."
You were blushing like crazy.
Asuto had decided to drag everyone to watch Nosaka's match, for fun. You on the other hand, pretended it was for information, instead of genuinely wanting to see Nosaka again. As soon as you stepped onto the stands, you were absolutely mortified.
The entire team of Seishou, was on the ground. Not a single player could move. The pitch was wrecked, even the stands behind the Seishou goal were wrecked, people actually had to evacuate. This was all at the hands of Outei Tsukinomiya, and their emperor, Nosaka Yuuma.
Gritting your teeth, your hands gripped the railing until your knuckles went pallid.
"Nosaka. What happened to you." This was not the person you knew. This was not the person that had saved your life, almost at the cost of his own. This was not the person you adored so much.
A hand gently placed on your shoulder, and snapped you out of your thoughts. Hiura gave you a sad smile, which you returned.
"Everything will be okay, [L/n]." He muttered softly. You had no idea why he was being so kind to you, so accepting, but you felt warmth glowing inside his heart. So you nodded.
"Okay. Thank you, Hiura."
