IV

Harry was by the lake on a fine Saturday morning enjoying the sun's beam until it got blocked by a certain redhead that he has an enormous crush on. She looked him in the eye and sat down beside him. Harry was confused at her actions at first but just enjoyed the scent of flowers that was coming from her.

She was just the most beautiful girl that he had ever met. She had long, wavy, sweet-scented red hair flowing down her back. Her sprinkles of freckles across her face. Her cute, little button nose that was completely covered by her freckles. The fact that she was only just a few inches smaller than him, made her even more of a beauty.

"Er, Hi," Harry told her, awkwardly trying to start up a conversation, thinking about what would happen if he did speak to her. She was always despising him and his every action, and she was usually going to get angry with him. However, what happened next surprised him.

"Hi... Harry," Ginny told him, putting her hair behind her ear. "How are you?"

Shocked by her actions, but not willing to bring it up to make her day horrible, Harry said, "I've been better."

She looked at Harry and his eyes; he was just in so much pain that even his beautiful, emerald-green eyes were starting to look like hell.

"What's happened to you, Harry?" She asked him, concerned.

Concerned.

That was the first time that he had ever heard Ginny sounding concerned about his feelings. She was always saying that he was acting that way for attention but she didn't know that he was feeling horrible. Now, she was worried about how he was feeling.

What in Merlin's name was going on?

"I feel like shit," Harry finally told her, making her look down on her lap, ashamed of herself, as she was partially the reason why he was feeling that way.

"I'm sorry, Harry!" Ginny blurted out, sadly. "You feel like shit because of me, right? Of course, it was me! You tried so hard to talk to me and get us to be friends and I treat you like rubbish? I am so so so sorry!"

Harry was even more surprised that she was saying sorry to him and decided that he should try something. He opened his athletic arms and wrapped them around Ginny, and to his surprise, she didn't try to struggle, she didn't call him an arrogant toe-rag. All she did was stay in the warmth of his arms.

They stayed in that position for what felt like years until Ginny pulled away and stared at him then she started to lean in and Harry did the same, they were just centimetres away until Ron appeared and they both pulled away very quickly.

"What are you doing here, Ginny?" Ron asked, half shocked that she actually spent time with Harry, without calling him an arrogant toe-rag. The other half of him was happy that they had a civil conversation.

"I'm in the middle of talking to my friend, Ronald," Ginny said, rolling her eyes.

This took Harry off guard because he never actually thought that Ginny would ever want to be friends with him. He thought that it would be a way for Ginny to get Ron to be quiet but he didn't say anything.

However, from the look on her face, Harry had a feeling that Ginny Weasley wanted to befriend him. Someone who had always hated him for years; someone who had yelled at him for trying to talk to her; someone who he saved many years ago.

"HA!" Ron exclaimed, happily as he ran away. "SEAMUS IS DEFINITELY GIVING ME 10 GALLEONS!"

This made both Harry and Ginny laugh at this. They never thought that they would actually have a civil conversation but they were wrong.

From that very moment onwards, they both became friends. Both of them were happy that they were friends because they knew that it was ridiculous to get into arguments.

What they both didn't know, however, was that there were some growing feelings for each other. Some that would be complicated, to say the least.

There were some growing feelings in the air.
