Chapter 14

LILLIANS POV

When we arrive at Hogsmead, I look at Father, but am shocked by what I see. He doesn't look like himself. It's almost like he transformed. I vaguely remember reading about a potion that has that ability, but I don't remember him drinking a potion.

Luckily he answers my unasked question.

"I'm able to change my appearance without any potions or magic. Have you met Nymphadora, sorry Tonks? She's also one."

"Regrettably, I haven't been able to meet her, given that I wasn't really allowed to see anyone that wasn't friends with Veronica and Nicholas."

He didn't respond after that, which I'm grateful for. I didn't really want to talk about the things that I missed out on, or wasn't allowed to do in case it wasn't "lady-like", or it ruined my family's perfect reputation.

"Anyways, we're are we going first? The wand place?"

He nods, "We're going to Ollivander's. He's the best wandmaker I've ever met. I believe he has a wand put aside for specifically you."

I stop walking and stare at him.

"Did he know you have a Daughter? I thought the 'Wand chose it's owner' or something like that."

"That is how it works, and he does know I have a Daughter. I don't know he he does though. But look, we're here."

I look in front of us, and see that we are in fact here. For some reason I can't get my legs to work though. I don't understand why I'm nervous to go in the shop. I've been waiting for this day for as long as I can remember. Finally I figure out how to walk again, and manage to walk into the shop.

An older looking man is busy walking along the many aisles of boxes, boxes, and some more boxes, all filled with wands I presume. Father clears his throat, trying to get the mans attention. He turns around with a smile on his weathered face.

"Welcome to Ollivander's Wand Shop. I presume you're here to get a wand?"

Father answers him with a polite smile.

"That we are. My Daughter hasn't been able to get a wand because of her previous living situation. But, I'm planning on rectifying that."

"Is this your Daughter Mr. Grindelwald?"

Ollivander looks at me with a smile, and turns his attention back to the many wands. I'm taken aback that he knew the man beside me was Grindelwald, and that I am his Daughter.

"She is my Daughter. We're here to get her a wand. Do you still have the wand that you put aside for Lillian?"

"Of course I do! I always keep my word. I remember when her Mother came in here for the first time. You look just like her Lillian. Although, it's quite unusual that you are only just coming here when you're about to enter the sixth year."

I look at him, or more accurately, his back. He hasn't turned around for the rest of this conversation at all. I feel like he's trying to find a specific wand.

I look around the rest of the shop. It mostly has wands, wand accessories, and other wand things that a witch or wizard might need.

Ollivander returns to the front of the shop were Father and I are standing. In his hands he has a box that is covered in dust. He turns away from us to blow the dust off from the top of the box. He hands the box to me, and stares excitedly.

I carefully take the lid off, and look at the beautiful wand within. As I'm taking it out of its box, Ollivander starts speaking.

"9 1/2 inches. Made from Juniper wood. Has a very unique core. It contains more than one thing. It's what makes this wand the most powerful wand I've ever created or seen. It's even more powerful than your Father's wand, The Elder Wand. Anyways, the core contains all of the usual things.

A unicorn hair, a Phoenix feather, dragon heartstring. Now for the more unique qualities. It also has some stardust, a Phoenix tear, a dragon scale, a shaving from a unicorns horn, and more. Another ability this wand has, it calls other wands to it. They will want to submit to this wand.

I know that you have special abilities as well. This wand will be able to easily perform wordless spells. Once you bond with your wand, it will also become easier to perform your wandless magic."

I stare at Ollivander in shock. I didn't expect to have a wand this powerful. I stare at the wand still in it's box. The wand it self is black, but seems to have stars on it. That's probably from the stardust. The grip of the wand is black with a very subtle red tone to it. The wand itself is beautiful.

I grab the wand out of the box, and immediately feel a connection to it. It's hard to explain the connection though. It's like I'm connected to it on a soul level, but even deeper than that, if that makes sense.

Ollivander looks at the wand in my hand, and walks behind the counter. Almost like he's shielding himself. From behind the counter he gives me instructions of what to do.

"Hold the wand by the grip. You have to make sure that you have a firm hand on it. I want you to do a swish and flick with your wand. Even though that wand is made for you, we have to make sure that it will respond to you."

I do as he said, and do a swish with the wand. The wand seems to respond to my silent command. Things in front of me start levitating in the air.
