CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE: A BOY, 1462

The celebrations continued but Catherine didn't attend. She had spend her day in her rooms. All her life is fallen down into pieces, she was devastated to learn of her father captured. She couldn't stop thinking about her father being locked in the tower, she hated to think of that.

She laid with Arthur on the bed, she tickled his stomach as he giggled out of excitement. "Arthur, my baby boy," she smiled in delight, picking him up. Arthur began to fiddled in her embrace trying to reach for the bed. "No! No!" He began to repeat. "Arthur, please?" She begged, playfully.

"Here, I thought you wouldn't be in your rooms." Catherine turned to see Thomas in the doorway holding baby Elizabeth in his arms. Arthur in her arms being to fiddled out trying to go to Thomas. "Arthur, please." She held her son in her arms walking over to Thomas. She leaned to the side, seeing baby Elizabeth.
"How's my beautiful girl?" She asked with a smile. She leaned forward to Thomas with a smile, she leaned to his lips for a kiss. He leaned forward to press a kiss upon her lips. Their kiss lasted for long second till, she broke away when Arthur began to fiddled in her arms.

"Arthur?!" She asked feeling uneasy. She walked over to the bed laying Arthur on the bed. "Give me, Elizabeth," She asked. Thomas held baby Elizabeth in his hands walking away from Catherine. "Well, she's in her father hands," he spoke loudly enough for her to hear.
"Thomas, I need to see Elizabeth. Where was she?" She asked.

"With my mother. Apparently, she was being dressed in all different clothes," he slyly smirked. She smiled, she rubbed her belly gently noticing it was bigger. Thomas held Elizabeth in his arms soothly.

"How are you?" He asked. She turned to faced him. "I feel like it's a boy," she spoke with confidence. Slowly, she made her way towards her son who kept rolling on the bed. "Arthur, stay put!" She ordered only to hear giggles from Arthur. "Let him have fun," Thomas commented. Catherine looked over to Thomas who smiled widely. "If he keeps being like that, he'll be spoiled." She stated trying to make Arthur stopped.

"Spoiled? Is there some personal issues you are having?" Thomas questioned. Catherine looked steadily at him. "I'm not spoiled. I've become mother to two kids, and now to my third," she spoke loud enough for him to hear. She looked to see his reaction.

"I believed you, it's okay." He looked to the side than turning to Arthur. He walked over to Arthur still holding baby Elizabeth. "How are you doing, little one?" He asked. Arthur giggled once seeing Thomas.

"Where is Alice and Julie?" She asked. Immediately, Thomas shrugged his shoulders, unsure. "I believed they were leaving George side," he chuckled. "Thomas!" She roared. Thomas chuckles, "I'm kidding. I believed their on their way."

"Good," Catherine commented. He smiled at her, she laughed it off. She truly noticed how much Thomas, loved his children. Children that aren't even his. She admires him for that. He still stayed for her even though, he knows she's will never love him.  At least that's what, she thinks.

After Julie and Alice came, took Arthur and Elizabeth away. She laid on bed feeling tired, she was heavily pregnant, could feel some pain within her.

"If it's a girl, we shall call her Margaret." She lands her eyes on him, confused. "Why?" She asked. He smiled. "After my favorite sister, she left but, I would like my daughter being named after a person, I love." She nodded agreeing along. "What if it's a boy?" She asked curiously.

Thomas chuckles. "I would name him George. After my brother." She immediately chuckles hearing his response. "You can't be serious." She replied. Thomas eyes lit up. "Why not? He'll is my brother. The brother, I always admired. Do you have a problem with him?" Catherine felt uneasy with that question. She looked away refusing to say anymore. She stayed silent till, she made her way towards Thomas bending down a little. He sat in his desk seem confused but was facing her side. She leaned forward to press a kiss on his lips, he stayed still yearning for more.

"I've come to love you, Thomas. Never forget that," she told him softly. Thomas cupped her cheeks, not saying a word. "I know, I know." He leaned closer pressing a kiss on her lips, together they stayed in long passionate kiss. Their a knock on their door, they both turned away. Edward entered leaving both of them flustered.

"Edward?" Thomas questioned. Catherine proceeded to bow down, as did he. "I've come to speak, to Catherine. It's regarding her father. Alone." Immediately Thomas jumped in front of her.

"It's okay, Thomas. I can handle this. Go check on the children," Thomas didn't loved. She than leaned to his ear, whispering. He immediately jolted and began walking leaving her and Edward alone.

"What did you promise him?" Edward asked. Catherine smirked. "A night of fun," she replied. Edward frowned refusing to say anything else.

"Why did you come? Go on! Tortured my father or kill him. I don't care." She replied frustrated enough. She kept rubbing her belly trying to tell him, she's in pain

"Do you know what Warwick asked after he gave me Henry?" Edward suddenly asked once George was out of sight and she gave him a questioning look, "A marriage. A marriage between my brothers and his daughters."

"Of course he did," she muttered under her breath and rolled her eyes in annoyance.     "I said I would think about it. He did, after all, bring me the second greatest threat to my throne," he paused. "Of course, you're the woman, I truly love. The mother of my children who wouldn't go against me, because I love you," Edward flirted and smiled as he grabbed her by the waist, pulling her closer to him.

He pressed a quick kiss to her cheek and she playfully rolled her eyes, glancing around to make sure no one was looking, "I miss you," he said quietly. She smirked when he said that.

"You're right. Believe it or not, you're always right. What do you suppose I do, then?" She said clearly lovingly. He asked, clearly taking her advice more seriously than anyone else's around him.

"Give him more land. You and I both know if the past has shown us any truth, Warwick is always happy after being given more land and titles," she suggested and Edward nodded in agreement.  "Perhaps you're right. But where will that land come from?" He paused, beginning to speak in a mocking tone, but she hadn't even realized it. She kissed on the lips, not caring anything else but her and him. She leaned back. "Do everything in possible just please come back to me, Edward. Come back to our little boy," she took his hand placing it on her belly, causing him to smile.

The following month, she stood in the courtyard in front of Margaret, Edward's sister. She was on the verge of leaving with Charles of Burgundy and Lord Warwick for her wedding.
She and Margaret leaned for hug, tearfully. Feeling an arm wrap around her, Margret turned her head. "I will miss you, I will miss little Arthur and baby Elizabeth," she touched Catherine belly. "I hope this little one, is bright as it is." Catherine smiled at her feeling happy enjoying this moment.

After five months passed, she hasn't seen Edward that much. Thomas has been her side through it all. One fateful night, she was thrown into giving birth, an early birth. Thomas was fearfully that the child will be born a stillborn. Nonetheless, she gave birth to a boy. A little boy. Edward boy. Thomas named him, George.

That night, she gave birth to a baby boy. A boy that was named after George, the king brother.  At that moment, rumors started to circulated. Rumors of her involvement with Edward. It wasn't because of their affair. England was at war, and needed a heir since Queen Elizabeth didn't end up giving birth to boys. Only daughters. England secretly hope the kids of Thomas and Catherine were of Edward.

In which infuriated Thomas of York to the very core. Soon after, the rumors where put to the rest, after Edward has gone off to war. Catherine ended up giving birth to a another boy. A boy that will hold the blood of hers and Thomas. The birth of Thomas Plantagenet concerned everyone in England, especially when three years passed after his birth and Queen Elizabeth had given birth to two more girls, while she gave birth to her second-born daughter, Margaret. A child that would belong to her and Edward.
