CHAPTER FOURTEEN
CHAPTER FOURTEEN: MARRIAGE INDICATED, 1462
THE NEXT MORNING, CATHERINE HAD SPEND HER MORNING, SMILING OUT OF HAPPINESS. Thomas had come to visit her that morning informing her that Edward had made him go on a hunt, he won't be back till tomorrow. Everything was going as planned yet she felt sick and guilty that she was doing this to Thomas. "You looked beautiful, Lady Catherine," Julie spoke, she was wearing her plain white dress. Julie immediately was helping her to fit into the dress. Soon after, Julie placed a small green necklace around her neck. "This was a gift given by Edward early in the morning."
"Thank you, Julie." All her handmaiden didn't know the truth but Julie, she was one person she could confide in. Julie is the youngest but had managed to earn her trust.
"Where would you meet up, Edward?" She asked. She slowly smiled, curiously. "That's our business, Julie. I do expect you not to say a word of this." Julie nods, listening to her refusing to say anything else. That's when her hand began to shake. Catherine immediately launched herself onto Julie.
"You okay?" She grabbed her hand only for Julie to take it away.
"Lady Catherine, I'm fine. I'll be in my way, see you soon." Julie managed to walk away swiftly leaving Catherine alone in her room

These moments were stuck into the deep verge of walking away. She knew this was her chance. Yet, she knows she can never be queen, she'll be marrying him because she loves him and is willing to be by his side forever. She will be by Thomas side but not his, this could be her moment, she'll be marrying him.
In the morning, she was walking wearing her new dress. It was quiet, rarely people were seen this early, she passed by Edward. She began to smile as Edward saw her too. "Good morning, my soon to be wife." He plainly said. Catherine laughs. "Good morning, my soon to be husband." Catherine smiled, Edward took her by the waist pulling her against the wall.
"Edward they might see us." Edward laughs.
"Nobody would ever see us, no at this moment." Edward began to smile, curiously. "I'll see you, my soon to be husband." She smiled getting away from his embrace, on the verge of walking away when Edward kissed her once more. She sent him a small smile, just before walking away.
Noon had come. Catherine walked alongside Julie and Anne Neville. They were going to be her witnesses against her marriage to King Edward. "Are you sure? What about Thomas?"
"What he doesn't know won't hurt him," she replied, causing Anne to stay silent. Catherine turns to her. "Anne, I trust you with more than anything else. You, as well, Julie. Anne, forgive me. I must say, I had always loved Edward, I always do. Thomas may be a boy but I never loved him. Anne, forgive me. I love Edward and not him."
"I understand, Catherine." She sighed. "Look at this way, I feel for Edward just like you feel for Richard. We both want to be with them, this is my chance and I won't regret it." She made it to the chapel running to his open arms. Anne and Julie both stood aside, they noticed Margaret, Edward's sister present.
Cathrine immediately ran to her in an open embrace. "What are you doing here? I didn't know you were here?"
"Edward insisted I'll be here. He had it planned for a long time already. I couldn't wait." She looked at Edward. "I made sure she was a witness to our marriage. She needed to be here, I see you brought Anne Neville and Julie." Catherine nodded, confidently impressing Edward.
Edward stood in the chapel together, holding hands. A priest stood before them, ready to bless the union between the two young adults. When it was time, Edward pulled out a ring from his pocket, smiling as he held in the palm of his open hand. "It was my grandmother's, I'm told," He admitted to her softly before handing it to the priest. The priest placed it on the bible, wasting no time beginning to read the marriage vows to them. Once it was over, Edward and Catherine officiated the marriage with a passionate kiss and walked out of the chapel together. When the priest followed them out, Edward turned his attention to the man, wasting no time handing him the pouch of gold.
"Your Grace," The priest greeted Edward, who sent him a smile before watching him walk off. Edward shot Margaret a look. His sister briefly eyed him suspiciously before walking off without another word said. Then, Anne and Julie send their regards to Catherine, then begin to walk away. Once they were gone, Edward finally gave Catherine his undivided attention. He cupped her face in his hands, both of them smiling happily. "My beautiful queen. It does seem like you're my queen and wife, I'll love you till my death. Shall we go to our chambers?" Edward asked playfully, causing Catherine to quietly laugh. Before she could react, Edward had grabbed her by the waist, wasting no time throwing her over his shoulder.
"I want to make sure this night is special for you," he smirks. He carried her bridal style as they both went into a secluded area in the forest, Edward's small cottage, he managed to take hold, he couldn't wait to show the surprise he had for her.
They managed to get to the small cottage, she opened the door to find red petals on the floor splattered on the floor, as the trail led to another room. "Go on," Edward whispered. "My love," he then said, placing her on the bed. She began to look around to see candles all around her. Edward leaned closer to her, with caution. "I'm mad for you, Catherine. I promise to treat you as for the woman you are. You have been nothing more than my one true person, I came to love." He leaned closer to kiss her on the lips, as she gasped for air, leaning away.
"You been mine," she kissed him again as he began to take his shirt off. She gulped seeing his bare chest, practically him getting to take his clothes off. He slowly began to walk towards her, she shivered not knowing what lays ahead. Her mother always told her, it's going to hurt. She held her breath, slowly trying to ease her nerves. "I won't hurt you," he whispered, he leaned against her kissing her on the lips, he than began to take his pants off leaving him bare in plain sight, she shivered, shaking. It was going to be first, he'll be her first.
They slowly began to kissed hungrily for each other, he moaned. They began to moaned. "I love you," he moaned, her dress came off. She and him were completely bare, as they hungrily began to kissed each other.
"I love you." He moaned. He leaned closer as she began to shake. He stopped and looked at her on how she trembled. He looked at her again. "Catherine, remember that I will always love you." He kissed her again on the lips, as she let him do it. This was her moment. She loved Edward and will always love him till death. She kissed him slowly, as he began thrusting in her. "Remember I love you, Catherine. I love you." He kept saying. She leaned forward for a kiss, as they laid on bed, he was on top of her.
"I love you," she stopped kissing him, taking a breath. "I love you, Edward." She did what any other woman will do after getting married. She did her duty.
