Summon the Suit (Part 2)

Y/n cries out in fright as dark mist consumes his body. He hears Rumi calling out to him, but it fades away as does the floor beneath his feet. He falls to his butt and the mist vanishes, revealing that he was now in a small room he didn't recognize.

"Oh, dear..." he stood to his feet. "Where am I?"

Y/n looks around to try to find a way out. He spots a metal door and runs to it. He grabs the door handle and tries to open the door, but it was locked. He couldn't get it open.

"Dammit!" Y/n yells before he gets a headache. "GRNAAGH!"

He holds his head in pain as he felt like he was fighting something. Or someone. When the pain passes, he looks at the reflective metal door. Marc was there staring at him.

"You don't need to fight me, Y/n," Khonshu's fist of vengeance says. "Surrender control."

"No. No, I saw what you did to those people the other day. You killed them," Y/n shakes his head. "And you just left Mirko--... Rumi all alone without telling her anything."

"It's not what you think," Marc states.

"I am never giving you control again," Y/n tells his reflection. "Ever. Do you hear me? You are a bad person."

A beep is suddenly heard, and Y/n looks at the ceiling.

"I hear you loud and clear, Y/n L/n," a familiar scratchy voice stated.

Y/n recognized the voice, but the door suddenly opened before he could say anything. The twenty-three-year-old yelps as he falls to the floor and grunts. He then groans as he pushes himself up, only to see someone approach him. It was the man with red eyes and blue hair, but he wore a hand over his face this time.

"I'm sorry about the wait. I just needed to understand your situation," the man stated. "I believe you should know who am I first, though. My name is Tomura Shigaraki. Pleasure to properly meet you, Y/n L/n."

"... hi," Y/n nervously greets Shigaraki as he stands to his feet. "Where am I?"

"You are in the base of the upcoming League of Villains," Shigaraki states. "I was hoping you'd join."

"Join? You?" Y/n questioned. "You tried to kill me!"

"Only a test," the Villain shrugs. "I needed to know myself if you were the real deal."

"Real deal?" Y/n questions.

"Yes, Y/n L/n, the student" the man with the hand over his face smiled. "And Marc Spector, the mercenary. And Steven Grant, the billionaire. And Jake Lockely, the killer."

"What?"

"It doesn't take much to hack into hospital records," Shigaraki states. "It must be difficult with all those voices in your head. I wonder how you're able to do the things you do when you're Quirkless. But I guess any broken man can do the impossible."

Y/n was at a lost for words. When he did find them, he said, "No, I'm not broken. Just need some help, maybe."

"That's right," Shigaraki nods. "That's why you're here. To get help."

Y/n nods before he looks past the Villain, making his eyes bulge from his skull. Behind him was a towering man with a bird skull. Khonshu.

"What? What is it?" Shigaraki asks as he looks behind himself. "Do you see something?"

"Yeah..." Y/n confirms.

"Is it one of the voices?"

"Kind of."

"Kill him!" Khonshu orders Y/n.

"What's he saying?" Shigaraki asks Y/n. "Telling you to kill me?"

Khonshu leans over Shigaraki with anger.

"Break his windpipe!" the Egyptian god commands.

"Yeah," Y/n nods.

"Well, remember that you don't have to do everything the voices ask of you. You're the one in control, not them," Shigaraki tells Y/n. "So, before you get excited and put on the cape, I'd love it if we'd have a word."

Y/n gulps as he was unsure what to do. He looked at the still visible Khonshu who was growling in anger.

"Ignore the voices. I do not wish to harm you," Shigaraki states. "Unless I have to, of course."

Y/n turns back to the Villain and nervously nods. "Alright."

Shigaraki nods and turns to walk off, motioning for his new guest to follow him. Y/n does so as he nervously passes the angry Khonshu who only watched. He couldn't do much without the help of his Avatar, so he was stuck as a spectator.

Shigaraki leads Y/n down a hallway and through a door. On the other side revealed the insides of a warehouse. Dozens of low-class Villains and criminals were standing or walking around, waiting for something to do. They all look over at Y/n and Shigaraki, and the former became nervous again.

"Don't worry," Shigaraki assured the former university student. "They won't harm you unless I tell them to."

"Lovely," Y/n gulped.

"Would you like some food? Take whatever you want," Shigaraki says as he motions towards a table full of food. "You are vegan, yes?"

"Yeah," Y/n nodded as he looked at the food. "This isn't a trick, right?"

"If you think any of my food is poisoned, it is not," a man made of purple mist with yellow eyes and wearing a suit walks into view. "Take as much as you like, Y/n L/n."

(Artist's name on the art I think. I dunno, I can't read small letters. Let's just call them AV. Credit to them)

The former student looks at the man before back at the food. He then grabs a paper plate and starts getting some food on it, mainly vegetables and other things that his vegan diet would allow. Shigaraki waited for him, trying his best to be patient as he resisted scratching his neck. Then Y/n finished getting his food and joined Shigaraki over at a table set up nearby. The Villains already there decided to move, just in case.

"Back to what I was saying, I want you to join the League of Villains," the Villain tells his guest.

"Why?" Y/n nervously started eating.

"This society... it's ruined. 'Heroes' are just as bad as us 'Villains', only throwing punches in the name of 'justice'," Shigaraki sounded annoyed. "It's all in good conscious to show the world what it really is."

"You have no conscience," Khonshu stated as he stood at the side. "All you say are lies."

"And you, I think you see that. You kill anyone in your way," the man with the hands said. "Whether they be Hero or Villain, you know exactly what you're doing. 'Cause in the end, we're all just scum, aren't we?"

"We only punish those who do real harm and are truly corrupt," Khonshu caws at Shigaraki. "We are true justice!"

Y/n looked over at the Egyptian god nervously. He takes another bite of his food. It was vegan chili.

"Are they saying something?" Shigaraki laughs a bit. "Something about justice, maybe?"

"You can hear him?" Y/n turns to the Villain.

"No, I hear enough voices as it is," he shook his head. "Besides, I don't want to hear anything about a 'fist of vengeance' anyway."

"I'm not the fist of anything," Y/n ate more of his food. "That's the little American living inside me."

"And which one's that? Marc?" Shigaraki asks.

Y/n nodded as he ate more chili.

"This is actually really good," he says. "Lovely."

"Yes, Kurogiri always made the best food," the blue-haired man stated.

A beat of silence passes before Y/n speaks up again. "And... why do you want me to join your League again?"

"You're name, the Moon Knight, brings fear into many people already," Shigaraki explains. "Imagine what kind of revenue we'll have with you with us. Our symbol will grow exponentially."

"And what symbol is that?" Y/n asks.

Shigaraki was growing frustrated with all the questions. He began to scratch his neck.

"Fear. Fear to Heroes and civilians alike," he states. "We need it to show people what society is like."

"But... not all Heroes are bad, yeah? I-I mean, there's some good ones," Y/n stated. "Like Mirko, a-and Gang Orca, and All Mi--"

"DON'T SAY HIS NAME!"

Shigaraki slammed a hand onto the table, and it started to turn to dust. Y/n gasped in shock and the Villain pulls his hand off the table. The table stops turning into dust.

"Don't... say his name. He is the worst of them all," Shigaraki narrowed his eyes as he scratches his neck even more. "Now, let's change the subject before someone gets hurt. Give me the drive."

The sound of metal creaking and footsteps catches Y/n's attention. He looks around to see the Villains around him and Shigaraki stand or walk towards them.

"That drive contains what we need to start our goals. To bring upon the death of Heroes," the red-eyed man tells Y/n. "It tells us all the names of the students, faculty, and all the locations of UA High."

Y/n then slowly turned to Shigaraki. UA High... Isn't that were Inko's son, Izuku Midoriya, goes to now? And that asshole he calls a friend?

"Now, give me the drive."

The Villain with the hand on his face holds his own hand out, awaiting for Y/n to give him the stolen USB drive.

"I-I don't have it," he says.

"What?" Shigaraki questions. He lowers his hand in annoyance. "Perhaps you know someone who does. Maybe Marc?"

"Don't you do it," Y/n turns a reflection of Marc in his glass. "Don't you say her name. Do not give Rumi up. Just give me the body."

Y/n turns back to Shigaraki. "No, I don't."

"How about I speak with Marc, then?" Shigaraki suggests in annoyance.

"Um, uh..." Y/n looked back at his reflection in his cup, and Marc shook his head. "No...?"

Shigaraki looks at Y/n before looking down. He then sighs before reaching his hand towards Y/n, only for the young man to yell in fright and fall back. The Villain stands to his feet, both hands now on the table as it falls away into dust.

"Where's the drive?" he asks. "Where is it?"

"No," Y/n shook his head.

"Where's the drive?" Shigaraki stepped closer to Y/n.

"You'll never get it," Y/n states.

"I have it!"

Everyone turns to the speaker. Rumi Usagiyama, in her Hero outfit, stood on a catwalk above everyone else. In her raised hand was the USB drive Shigaraki wanted.

"Mirko..." Shigaraki scratched his neck in irritation. "Damn Heroes, always getting in my way."

Mirko glares down at the Villain before hopping over the catwalk railing. She lands on the ground on a knee before standing up again. Villains slowly began to circle her.

"There is no deal in this, Marc," Khonshu states. "Fix this. Fix this!"

Mirko walks forward as she keeps her glare on Shigaraki. She stops next to Y/n and glances at him.

"Summon the suit," she whispers to him.

"S-sorry, what?" he asks.

"Summon the suit," she says louder. "Go all Moon Knight on them. Like I've always said, I'm not gonna say anything."

Y/n shook his head. "I-I don't know--"

"The suit," the Rabbit Hero steps closer to her boyfriend. "Summon it."

"The suit?" Y/n questions.

Mirko shoves the drive into Y/n's hands. "And keep this safe."

"So be it," Shigaraki growls.

"Let's go," Mirko grabs her apparent boyfriend's arm. "Let's go!"

She runs and drags Y/n with her away from the Villains. One tries to grab them, but Mirko slams her foot into his chest. Due to her enhanced leg strength, the guy gets sent flying back and the two continue running. They make their way up some stairs to the higher level of the warehouse as Shigaraki scratches his neck.

"Kurogiri," he calls out.

As said mist Villain appears next to his teammate, Y/n and Mirko go separate ways as they go up more stairs. When he makes it up higher, Y/n finds Mirko beating down on a Villain. She landed a few punches on him before kicking him away. She looks over at her apparent boyfriend with a grin.

"Yaba..." Y/n says again in awe.

"Come on!" Mirko yells as she runs down a hallway.

Y/n shakes his head and follows her as fast as he could. Shigaraki turns to Kurogiri.

"Summon the new Nomu," he tells him.

"Yes, Tomura Shigaraki," Kurogiri seemingly nods.

Then his mist swirls around himself as he opens a warp gate to another warehouse. Out of it walks a purple-skinned creature with a muscular, but slim, body with no teeth in its mouth and a single, Cycloptic eye in the middle of its exposed brain.

"Kill Y/n L/n and Mirko," Shigaraki orders it.

Letting out a loud screech, the Nomu obeys its master and rushes after its new targets. As it follows them, Y/n and Rumi barge into a large room. The Pro Hero immediately goes to close the door.

"Help me bolt the door!" she says.

Y/n runs up to her and closes the doors. They then pull the giant lock over it which keeps the door in place. They back away from it.

"Oh, my God..." Y/n panted. "I'm gonna die in a crusty-lipped Villain's man cave."

"No. Hey! Hey, listen to me. Look at me," Mirko tells Y/n who turns to her. The Nomu reaches the door and beats against it. "Your name is Marc. You have a suit. I've seen it. You bring it out."

"No..." the twenty-three-year-old shook his head.

"Where are you?" Mirko asked Marc. "I can defend myself, but I can't let you die!"

"Let me in, Y/n!" Marc orders from a reflection on some metal.

"No, I can't," Y/n shook his head.

"Let me in."

"Stop..."

"There's no more time."

The Nomu screeches as it bangs on the locked doors. Y/n held his head in his hands before yelling.

"Please! Stop!"

"Listen to me," Rumi grabbed Y/n's shoulders. "Your name is Marc Spector."

The Nomu keeps banging against the door. Rumi keeps on calling Y/n Marc and telling him to summon whatever suit she was talking about. Marc kept on telling Y/n to give him control of the body. The former student couldn't take it anymore and yelled again as he held his head.

"Please, stop!" he falls to his knees, starting to have a panic attack. "Leave me alone, both of you!"

"Hey!" Mirko crouches down in front of her apparent boyfriend. "You can do this. I promise. Y/n."

Y/n looked up from the floor and at Rumi. That was the first time she called him by his name. The rabbit girl nodded her head at Y/n and smiled at him, but he only shook his head.

"I can't... I can't," he lowered his head. "I'm sorry, I can't. I can't do it."

The Nomu screeches again as it punched a hole in the door. Rumi ignored it as she instead looked at Y/n. She sighed as she rested her forehead on his his.

"It's alright. Okay," she assures Y/n. "I'll protect you. I promise. But first, I gotta find a place to put you to keep you safe."

Rumi stood to her feet and ran around to find a place to keep Y/n as she fought the Nomu. However, said creature finally tore through the door and screeched as Y/n screamed.

"That's the thing that tried to kill me last night!" he pointed out.

"What?!" Mirko asked in shock.

Neither had time to react as the Nomu charged at Y/n and swung at him. The man was sent flying out the giant window behind him and begins falling to the ground. He gets knocked around the pipes before...

"SUMMON THE SUIT!"

"Suit!" Y/n called out. "SUIT!"

He hits another pipe and hits the ground. However, it wasn't a hit that caused his death. He landed like a hero, with one knee on the ground and one hand holding him up. Y/n lifts his head up, revealing his glowing white eyes on a masked face with a white hood over his head. He then tilted to the side and fell to the ground.

Grunting, Y/n stands to his feet and looks around. Then he looks at and feels himself before looking back up. He let out a breath.

"That should've been a lot worse," he stated.

"Oy, Y/n, what the hell are we wearing?" Marc's voice asks the man.

Y/n turns to a reflection of himself, but just Marc, in a window. He saw himself wearing some kind of white body armor with a crescent Moon on the chest piece over a black button-up suit. A white cape with a hood was attached to it.

(Found this one Pinterest. Art by Bluemist72. Credit to them)

"What-what? What do you mean?" Y/n asked. "I was told suit, this is what I got."

"Yes! The ceremonial armor from Khonshu's temple, not some fancy soldier's crappy, makeshift body cast!" Marc declared. "God, even Steven's psycho Colonel Sanders cosplay is better than this."

"Hey. Don't you diss my man Sanders. He makes good food, and looks good while doing it," Y/n pointed at his reflection. "Besides, I don't know how any of this shit works. I do look rather badass, though."

"Alright," Marc sighs. "Where's the drive?"

"The drive. Yes," the newly caped crusader feels around his pants and feels the USB. "I have it, yeah."

Y/n then feels around his legs before grabbing something. The sound of chains is heard as he pulls out some kind of blades wrapped and tied together with chains.

"What's this?" Y/n asked in confusion. "What are these suspiciously sharp weapons for?

He spun the weapons around in his hands and Marc groaned again. Y/n smiled under his mask.

"They're pretty cool, actually," Y/n laughed a bit. "I like this."

Something immediately landed on Y/n, making him drop to the ground.

Meanwhile, Mirko had dropped to the ground outside the warehouse and looked around, trying to find Y/n. However, she soon finds him when he's sent crashing through a wall and rolls across the ground. The suit was new.

"Y/n!" she called out as she ran to him.

"No! Run!" Y/n yelled back. "You can't take this thing!"

Not listening, Rumi charged at the approaching Nomu. She jumped up and swung her leg in an arc as she went for one of her Ultimate Moves.

"Luna Arc!" the Pro Hero calls put as she lands a swinging kick on the creature.

A shockwave was heard due to her enhanced leg strength, but also because the Nomu barely moved. It then roared and swatted Mirko away into a wall. Y/n watched all this and growled in anger. So grabbing a car bumper, and accidentally compressing part of it due to his own surprising strength, the masked man stood up and ripped the bumper off the car.

However, before he could use it, the Nomu rushed him and knocked him away, dropping the bumper in the process. The Nomu then grabs him by the neck, and Mirko returns with a kick to its head. It stumbles a bit this time, but retaliates with another swing of its arm as it slams Y/n into a wall. Mirko dodged and goes to kick the back of the creature's leg. It drops to a knee as it lets go of the man with split personalities.

"Mirko, run!" the masked Vigilante calls out. "Stay away from it!"

"Not happening!" the Rabbit Hero yells.

She charges at the Nomu and leaps at it. Spinning around, she locks her legs around its neck and spins around again before slamming it into the ground. It roars at Mirko and grabs her by the leg, standing up as it swings her around and into a wall. It then grabs Y/n by the neck again and pins him against a wall. Then it grabs Mirko again and tosses her away into a car, and then pulls Y/n away from the wall before slamming him into it again.

He gets dropped to the ground and he grunts in pain. However, anger fueled him as he got back up to fight. The Nomu kicks him into the wall, cracking it from the force of impact. Rumi comes back with a battle cry, but gets her leg grabbed again. The Nomu screeches at her, and Y/n grabs a nearby tread marker and swings it at the Nomu. It grabs it and screeches at Y/n this time.

Rumi slams a foot into the Nomu's face, making it drop her. However, it easily recovered and grabbed the tread marker from Y/n. It uses it to knock him back and to the ground. He groans in pain and looks at his reflection in a puddle on the ground.

"Give me control, Y/n," Marc orders him. "You can't handle this."

"No... I think I can," Y/n states. "Go beyond, yeah? Plus Ultra!"

Marc yells at Y/n in frustration as he stands to his feet. The caped Vigilante then turns to the Nomu who was near Mirko, and he glared at it.

"Get away from her, you!" Y/n calls out, making the Nomu turn to him. "Yeah, I see you, you butt-ugly bastard. You're in the wrong town, pal. It's my yard now!"

The former university student grabs his cape and tosses it off of him. He then raises his fists.

"Yeah, come on. Come on," Y/n taunted the Nomu. "That's right, come on."

The Nomu growled as it approached its target.

"Lookie here, lookie here!" Y/n said as he jerks his feet left and right. "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee! My name is Y/n with an (whatever letter you use for your name)!"

The Nomu leaps at Y/n and he retaliates with a right hook. The punch sends the creature crashing through a wall, and Y/n looks on in shock. He then looks at his fist in awe before throwing both hands into the air in victory.

"WOO! I just did that! I did!" he exclaims happily. "Oh, you just got owned by Moon Knight, brain bitch! How does it feel, huh? How does it feel?!"

Y/n turned to Rumi who was looking at him in shock, but with a smile. Y/n smiles in return under his mask.

"Rumi! Did you see that?" he asks.

The Nomu recovers and swings at Y/n, sending him crashing into a bus. The people on-board scream in terror as the masked man groans and falls to the street. The Nomu approaches him and grabs him by his leg, but Y/n headbutts the Nomu when he gets to eye-level and he gets dropped to the ground again.

He then spins around and sweeps the Nomu's feet from underneath him. Y/n laughs again before he gets punched in the face, and the creature stands back up. The two begin to tussle as they throw punches left and right. They then locked hands as they fought against each other. That is until a car hit them and sent Y/n flying back while the Nomh gets rolled over it.

Y/n groans in pain before he slowly picks himself up. He turns to see the people staring at the Nomu in terror. Then Mirko ran onto the scene, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Everyone, get out of here!" she orders the civilians. "This place isn't safe!"

The pedestrians run and scream in fear as they listen to the Pro Hero. The Nomu lunges at her and they begin fighting. Y/n then pulls off his mask and stands to his feet and pants in exhaustion. Glancing at the bus, he catches Marc shaking his head at him.

"Hell of a fight," Marc tells Y/n. "Now look around."

Y/n does as he was told and saw some stragglers staying behind as Mirko fought the Nomu. She wasn't doing very well against the monster.

"Someone's going to get hurt or die if you don't let me help," Marc states.

"Alright, do it. Take control," Y/n tells his split personality. "For now."

Y/n suddenly loses control of himself as his body stiffens. Marc then gains control as his eyes glow bright white. He slowly turns to face the Nomu as white cloth wraps form around his face and body, replacing Y/n's suit with his own as a cape and hood form as well.

He was now the Moon Knight.

The Nomu roared and swung at Mirko who dodged the attack. She then glanced over to the side to see Moon Knight approaching. He reaches for his chest piece and pulls out two blades shaped as crescent moons. Rumi recognized this suit and knew she was looking at Marc. She then looked at the Nomh whose attention was now on Marc, and Rumi turned to smile at her boyfriend.

"Get it out of here," she told him.

With a nod, Moon Knight ran forward and the Nomu took chase. The masked Vigilante ran up a car and jumped onto a wall, starting to climb it as the Nomh does the same. Mirko watched with a smirk before turning to civilians.

"Come on, people! she yells. "Let's get to safety!"

As Rumi evacuates the people to a safer area, Marc was running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop as the Nomu chased him. He glanced back at the beast momentarily before leaping over a street and landing in a roll on another rooftop. The Nomu was quick to follow.

Expertly parkouring on the rooftops, Moon Knight ran and ran as the Nomu chased him. He glanced back at the creature once and then in front of him. He immediately thought of a plan.

"Come on. Come on," he glances at the Nomu again. "That's it. Just a little further."

Marc leaped forward as the Nomu lunged at him. Smiling under his mask, the mercenary spun around and jabbed one of his blades into the creature's brain. He screams in pain before they both land on another roof, belonging to a church of sorts, the Nomu bleeding as it slides down the roof.

Moon Knight follows it and grabs the Nomu before jumping off the roof. He falls down and skewers the creature by slamming down onto a spiked pole. Marc drops to the ground as the Nomu screeches again before going limp.

The caped Vigilante then held his hand out. The blade lodged into the Nomu's brain flies out and towards Marc. He grabs it and turns away.

Marc places it back in his chest piece and then looks up at the crescent Moon above. It had given him strength, but he was far from going all out.

Marc stretches his arms out and the suit vanishes into his body once more. He breathes heavily before looking at his hands. The mercenary then feels around his pockets and pulls out the USB drive Rumi had given him. The fist of vengeance smiles at it in victory.

At the Villain warehouse, Shigaraki looked out the shattered glass window that Y/n had been sent through. He was scratching his neck again. He was irrated. Frustrated. Angry.

"We're gonna need a new base..." he states.

Back with Marc, he was still looking at the USB drive. He was about to leave before someone spoke to him.

"So this is what it's like?"

He turns to see a reflection of himself in the mirrors at the bottom of the spiked pole. However, it wasn't Marc. It was Y/n.

"Being on the inside?" he finishes his question.

"Yeah," Marc nodded.

"It's terrible," Y/n states.

"It's alright," Marc told his reflection. "You're alright."

"I feel like I can barely move," Y/n said as his began to panic.

"It's alright, just breathe through it," the mercenary said. "It gets easier."

"How long have you been doing this?" Y/n asked.

"A while..." Marc answers.

"I don't like it," the former student states. "I don't want it. Can I have my body back?"

"I can't do that right now, Y/n."

"Please."

Marc begins to walk away, but Y/n glares at him.

"I'm taking it back," he stated.

He grunted and groaned as he tries to force back his control on his own body. However, it didn't seem to work as Marc just stared at him.

"Sorry. We've always managed to keep a wall between each other, but something's changed," the mercenary explains. "The one who controls the body has become stronger. The reflections help, but most the time, it'll take all your willpower just to be a fly on the wall."

"You can't do this, keeping me trapped in here. You have no right," Y/n shook his head. "My whole life... I can't go on a fucking date. I can barely keep a goldfish alive. I got kicked from school. It's been you. It's always been you, eating away at parts of my life like a parasite."

"Look, when I am done, when I have repaid my debt, I swear to you, you will see me or hear from me again. I promise you," Marc assures. "We wouldn't be alive if it weren't for Khonshu. And my... servitude is the price that I pay."

"What kind of servitude?" Y/n asks.

"The kind that leaves me covered in blood," Marc answers.

"Yeah, well, that blood is on my hands!" Y/n exclaims. "You ruin people's lives. Everything you touch, you ruin. You hurt people, you abandoned your girlfriend. You left her all alone."

"I did not! I am protecting her!" Marc defends himself. "You don't know what you're talking about."

"Yes, you did," Y/n shoots back. "I saw!"

"Khonshu has eyes on her," Marc states as he walks around the four-sided mirror. "He wants her as my replacement. I'm never gonna let that happen, you hear me?"

"You're a liar. I don't believe you, I don't trust you," Y/n announces. "You hurt people!"

"I'm never going to let him near her," Marc fights back. "Shut up."

"I won't let you hurt anyone again."

"Just shut up!"

"I will never give you a moment of peace."

"Shut up!"

"I promise!"

Marc's anger bubbles and bursts as a church bell tolls. He yells as he repeatedly kicks the mirror showing Y/n.

"You! Shut! Up!" he yells. "SHUT! UP!"

Marc keeps on kicking the mirror for a few more moments before he stops. He pants from anger as he looks at it, cracked and shattered from his foot. Then the mercenary notices the wind picking up and the chairs around the platform he stood on were blown aside. He looks around and then at the cracked mirror. Only his reflection stared back.

"You swore he would not interfere," Khonshu said as he stood on a rooftop.

Marc turned to the god. "I know. I'll handle it."

"You have proven you cannot," the Egyptian god states.

"I will," Marc says.

Khonshu appears on another building. "Ungrateful, Marc, altering the terms of our agreement. You were nothing more than a corpse when I found you. You think you own this body?"

Khonshu laughs and Marc turns to see the god standing behind him.

"It belongs to me."

"We'll figure out what the League is planning," Khonshu's fist of vengeance assures. "I'll even get Grant to help me it I have to."

"Be quick, you do not have long," the god states. "I sense that the beginning of their plans are fast approaching."

"I'll stop them," Marc states. "Even if I have to die again."

"That won't happen, because you know I'll use whatever I have to protect you," Khonshu states. "You are worth protecting."

"Whatever it takes," Marc says. "Then you'll let us go and let Y/n go back to his life."

"I know you enjoy the work that I have for you," the Egyptian god of the Moon states. "We need each other."

"We have a deal."

Khonshu raises a hand. "Let me remind you, should we part, you may not like my next candidate, near and dear as  she is to you."

Marc glares at his master with anger in his eyes. He wanted to grab him and tear him to pieces just for thinking of Rumi Usagiyama. But he didn't because he knew he could never do it. So he sighed.

"What're we doing?" the mercenary asks.

"What the hell do you think?" Khonshu asks as he walks past his fist.
