"Be yourself. An original is so much better than a copy."

"Miss L/N? What is... all of this?" CEO Min asked while standing in front of a household plant in his lobby.

You perked up from under the desk where you were currently planting some more flowers in to pots to put on your desk.

"Hm? Oh, just adding colour to the place... I can take them away if you don't like-"

"No!" You blinked at his sudden outburst, surprised at his objection as much as he was.

"Err, I mean, it's nice..." he looked around at the much brighter lobby that seemed to be changing everyday.

For some reason it raised his spirits up to work better. Or was it you that was doing that?

"...any meetings this Afternoon?"

"None, sir"

"Good... I'll go and take a nap" you nodded and watched as he retreated in to his quarters. You made a mental note that he would always be asleep when he had no meetings.

The fact that he always looked so tired in the mornings only made you think that he would work over night.

Recently however, he seemed to be more awake these days.

Looking up at the clock on your desk, you saw how it was nearly time for your lunch break with the others.

Thankfully, there was no sight of Joy this morning and you had hoped she wouldn't come back any time soon.

Why? Well, you didn't know why specifically but, the feeling didn't sit well with you and that was enough for you to trust your gut feeling.

After finishing up with your desk plants and packing your stuff away, you began to make your way towards the cafeteria.

The lift shook as usual but that didn't stop your good day feeling. Although, you'd need to call the maintenance people to come and fix it.

Suddenly, now that you were thinking about it, the lift didn't shake when you and Yoongi were inside last time.

The memory of that day where he had made you cry entered your mind momentarily before it was completely shoved out.

Your boss was changing because of that day and you couldn't be more grateful.

Not only that but you're also trying to understand him more while trying to help him but not in the sense of you feeling sorry for him.

Instead, you wanted to see what kind of person he could be. The person that was hiding behind the mask.

The idea of you ever seeing his true face seemed so far in the future.

You weren't in any rush and neither was he. You would want someone to be the same to you with your burns.

Reaching up to your turtleneck, you made sure it was covering your neck properly, hiding your burns to anyone and everyone.

It would be nice if burns weren't seen as grotesque or something to gawk on.

That would be a perfect world for you.

Sighing, you could only dream of such a world and you felt the lift stop before opening the doors for you to leave.

The lobby was busy as ever - workers running around to get to their destination and many guests that have come to interview one of the best fashion magazine companies.

Trying your best to not get caught up in the hustle and bustle, you swiftly made your way through and in to the cafeteria.

Employees were already inside and enjoying their lunch break and in the middle of all of them was your table.

Usually, they looked upbeat and to be having a good time but, they looked stressed if anything.

"Hey guys...?" You asked once you arrived, deciding to get your lunch a little later.

Jimin was the first to look up and he instantly sighed.

"It's officially the worst day ever"

"Actually it's a close second after that one day when Gucci put me on their blacklist" Taehyung huffed out, still angered by the memory.

Still lost, you looked over at Hoseok for answers. Thankfully, he was there to give.

"A bunch of models just quit on us and we just found out that they went to LY" Hoseok answered with a stressed look.

"So now I have no one to dress"

"I have no one to paint on"

"And no one to do the photoshoot on" Hoseok finished while the other two sunk their heads in defeat.

"...what about Jin? Did he leave too?" Taehyung chuckled at this.

"That big headed model isn't going anywhere since no one will want his face on their magazine" you felt relieved to hear that he stayed.

"Can't you ask him to come in then?" You suggested.

"We need female models and the last time I checked, Jin was a man" Jimin spoke this time after leaning on his arms that were sprawled on the table.

You pursed your lips in thought, trying to think of a solution for their predicament.

Suddenly, the photographer got an idea.

"...hey, why don't you model just for today?" You looked over your shoulder to see who he was talking to and once you saw nobody behind you, you looked back quizzically.

"Who?"

"You!" Blinking a few times, you didn't have the chance to react since Taehyung and Jimin had beat you to it.

"Pffft! As if!"

"She couldn't even do it last time!" Even though they were right, you somehow wanted to prove them wrong.

"...yeah, I'm not a model, Hoseok-"

"So? Anyone can be on a magazine and people won't question whether they're a model or not. Especially when reading 'Faceless'" biting your lip, you really wanted to help them out but, you just couldn't. You weren't even qualified to do so and not to mention that you have a job as an assistant to fulfil.

All of a sudden, the red haired male grabbed your hands in his and looked deeply in to your eyes.

"Please, Y/N. If you're worried about Yoongi, you're technically still helping him" the other two couldn't believe their ears and eyes. Hoseok never begged for anyone to model, not even to the stuck models who threatened to leave the studio.

They waited in anticipation of your answer.

You couldn't look away from his intense gaze that pleaded for help. Not wanting him to see the blush creep on your cheeks, you instantly nodded your head and looked away.

Hoseok grinned widely at your silent response and intertwine his fingers with yours, making you look down at them in shock.

"Thank you! You're a life saver! I owe you dinner, yeah?" Out of habit, you removed your hands from him and cleared your dry throat.

"...yeah" you whispered while looking away and trying to hide your flushed state.

------------------------studio------------------------

"Are you ready?"

"Just one second!" You yelled back before staring at yourself in the changing room mirror.

Of course the theme was still summer and it was obvious that clothes got more revealing as the temperatures got higher.

Taehyung had given you this flowy dress that unbeknownst to him had luckily covered your burns but unfortunately had yours legs on full view.

Even though there were no burns on your legs, you were still self conscious about every little detail of your body.

Afterall, you aimed to be as normal as everyone else.

Because of the coverage, you didn't need to wear your turtle neck underneath and it felt weird to not have it on.

It was like your armour that protected you.

Breathing in one final time, you turned around to open the door and reveal yourself to an impatiently waiting Taehyung.

As soon as he heard the door open, he looked over his shoulder to see you stand there in his choice of clothing.

A grin had appeared on his features.

"Oh oui oui, c'est manifique!" His shouts caught everyone's attention, making them look over at the commotion to see you standing awkwardly under their gazes.

Hoseok was the last to look up after fixing his camera to finally look at your outfit.

His hands stopped and his lips parted upon sight of you. You looked so graceful and cute, he couldn't look away.

"My turn! It's time for make up!" Frowning in confusion, you let Jimin drag you over to his station.

"Makeup? But, my face won't be seen anyway"

"Who said anything about face makeup?" That's when he took out his special glitter spray and proceeded to bend down so he could get closer to your legs and spray them with glitter.

The sensation was cold and it surprised you at first but you quickly got used to it. It actually tickled.

"... done! Hobi, she's all yours" Jimin flipped you round to face the photographer who was still taking you in. He began making his way over to get a closer look and with every step he took, his smile only grew.

"Woah, why look at you! I didn't know the theme was angels" blushing at his compliment, you were about to retort back when the door of the studio opened.

Everyone looked over to see who would dare step inside when the photoshoot was in session and it was a known rule throughout the building to not enter. However, their glares were no more once they realised who it was.

"This place hasn't changed a bit" Joy stated while taking off her glasses to look around better. The staff began their murmuring to one another, wondering why she was even here in the first place.

Of course, she didn't mind the stares and the gossiping about her, she was afterall used to it.

"I heard you were in urgent need of models-" suddenly, as she was getting closer to the photographer, she noticed you standing next to him in a flowy dress and your legs sparkling.

Joy came to a stop to really take in the view before bursting out laughing.

"Pfft- haha! You got her to step in? That's hilarious!" She continued her mocking and you just wanted to run back to the dressing room and change.

Did you look that funny? A super model like her should know and yet, here she was laughing at you.

Hoseok noticed you about to go in to another of your concerning states as you hugged your body and hid behind him.

"Why are you here, Joy?" Hoseok demanded, wanting her to get out as soon as possible.

She raised a brow in amusement.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm doing this company a solid by helping them in their time of need-"

"We don't need your help. You can go" the staff gasped at this and watched as Joy was taken aback.

"...excuse me? Do you not realise who I am-"

"You're wasting my time" even you were shocked at how blunt he was. You couldn't object to let Joy model as he had grabbed your hand and lead you to where the cameras where.

The sight of you being taken away instead of her made her blood boil. Why was it you again? Why were you so special when she was the reason why this company became successful? It took her years to be where she was now and to even be in Yoongi's good books yet, it took you only a month?

You felt uncomfortable being in her place since there was literally a model in the room wanting to help.

Slowing down to a halt, you were about to tell Hoseok to reconsider but, an unforeseen force had grabbed your dress at your shoulders and proceeded to rip it off you.

The force had made you turn and all you could think was of your burns.

Joy had made sure to ruin the dress, anything to not make you model and to show you just how different you were too.

Everyone was watching with wide eyes as you immediately bent down to cover yourself but that wasn't the only thing that helped you hide.

A red blazer was swept over your shoulders, covering your burns quick enough for no one to have seen anything.

Your heart was racing and you could feel a panic attack about to come but a pair of hands helped you up before embracing you in to their arms.

Looking up momentarily, you saw that Hoseok was glaring at Joy while holding you close.

"Oh my- it seems I have made a mistake, an accident really" even though her face was showing innocence, her voice was dripping with evil.

"...get out and never come back to my studio" without waiting for her to reply, Hoseok took you away and back to the dressing room that you were in before.

You were too busy trying to get your head around what just happened while also calming down once you realised no one saw your burns.

You heard the door close behind you and you could finally breath.

"...thank you" you whispered, feeling extremely lucky to have not been exposed thanks to the photographer.

Hoseok frowned before walking over to you. You tried to cover yourself as best as you could but that was futile as he had removed his blazer from you.

Gasping in fear, you turned away to not face him and hoped he didn't see anything.

However, he had saw it all.

"...you were hiding this the whole time?" He asked softly, not realising that it wasn't just a psychological thing but a physical reason.

Your shoulders shook in true fear and you couldn't stop a fee tears from escaping.

"...I-I'm so sorry... that you had to see this" you sobbed out before letting your legs give way. Hoseok was quick to catch you and slowly place you down so that you were comfortable before sitting beside you.

"Why are you sorry?" You sniffled before replying.

"...it's disgusting right? No one would ever want to see burns like mine" you refused to look at him in the eyes, afraid that he would look at you differently than he usually did.

His face fell at your explanation, seeing how much you felt out of place and why your confidence levels were so low.

Reaching over, he grabbed your hand gently, shocking you slightly and you were about to retract when he held on tighter.

"...Y/N, look at me" you couldn't. You could almost imagine his face right now.

Sighing to himself, he intertwined your fingers just like earlier on.

"They're not disgusting. They're as beautiful as the person that holds them" you still refused to look at him but he continued to persuade you.

"...I like to think our bodies are just empty canvases and as we grow, we start adding paintings on to them. Taehyung likes to add his favourite clothes on his body, Jimin likes to add little paintings to bring out his features, Jin adds his personality to his canvas... what I'm trying to say is that, everyone starts off with a blank canvas and we are the ones that decide what to add" you finally peered over to look at Hoseok. He was smiling at you like he had always done, no signs of disgust on his face at all.

"...my canvas is ruined. It already has mistakes-"

"In art there is no such thing as mistakes, just mini discoveries" you looked up at him in wonder. You were certain that he would treat you differently and definitely not as kind as he was now. A person like him was truly a gift and you couldn't have asked for more.

"...thanks, Hoseok...you don't understand how happy I am to hear that" the other sent a warm smile your way.

"Never feel sorry to others about your burns, okay?" Pursing your lips in thought, you knew it would be hard to do so but, now that you had someone like Hoseok, you'd at least try.

"...I'll try...hey, Hoseok?"

"Hm?"

"What have you painted on your canvas?" The other raised a brow in amusement.

"Oh? Curious are we?" You blushed at his teasing and quickly shook your head.

"J-Just wondering..." Hoseok laughed before speaking up again.

"How about instead of just telling you, why don't you look closely and find out for yourself?" You didn't expect his answer to be like that and you could only nod, accepting his challenge in the process.

-------------------Shadow floor------------------

Stretching his aching neck, Yoongi knew it was time for him to take a break. He had been emailing and calling up many people who should be associated with the mysterious artist going by the name of Dawn.

The name itself was a female name so it only made sense that he was looking for a female artist.

Even though his search was halved, it was still very much difficult.

But it seemed as though someone has answered his prayers as he managed to get a meeting with the artist who was finally found and they accepted to message him soon.

"...aish, I need to get food" he groaned while standing up from his desk and began making his way out.

A few rays of sun light were peeking through the small gaps of the curtains and in to his office.

Usually, he'd hate the thought of letting any light in because then it would be harder to see his face accidentally.

He could also hide away in his office and the darkness was very easy to hide in.

However, ever since you entered his life, you were making him second guess himself. He would definitely not have let anyone else let light in the lobby or bring plants to add colour.

The name of the floor was pretty ironic now.

Chuckling to himself at how much the place had changed, he finally opened the door to enter the lobby where he would find you sitting at your-

But, you weren't.

Frowning behind his mask, he wondered where you could be. Looking down to his left, he didn't see the bag of sliced watermelons that you would always bring to him.

You hadn't returned back from lunch and it had been an hour since then.

He had hoped nothing bad had happened to you.

"Yoongi!" Suddenly, a very familiar voice called out his name after leaving the lift. Looking over, he saw that it was Joy and he couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"Sooyoung, you can't just walk in here-"

"Can you believe what your photographer said to me? He told me to never come back to his studio! All because I accidentally ripped your assistant's dress sleeve-" Yoongi was overwhelmed and interupted her.

"You did what?"

"It's fine, the dress wasn't designer so no loss there-" suddenly, the CEO had zoomed right past her and towards the lift. He did it on instinct as he knew you had insecurities about not having your turtle neck on. Although he had no clue why, he knew that if it was him in her place, he would probably be having a panic attack by now.

"Yoongi? Where are you going?" She asked after running up to his side while he vigorously pressed the lift button.

"I need to go see Miss L/N and see if she's okay" he wished the lift would be faster.

"But why? She's just your assistant" he froze at this. It was true, you were just his assistant, so why was he so worried? He couldn't explain it but he needed to see it for himself if you were okay.

Without answering her question, Yoongi finally entered the lift and left her.

Joy stood there in absolute shock that Yoongi had done such a thing. He had left her for someone like you.

Her views on you only became red with anger and she knew you had to be stopped.

But how?

Suddenly, her phone began to ring, making her fish out for it only to see that her manager was calling.

___

"Urgh, I'm busy now,
call me back-"

"I did some research
on Y/N L/N like you
have asked for"

"Oh?...send them
over"

___

Intrigued as to what her manager had found, she looked down to see that he had sent a link her way.

Without a second to waste, she pressed on it and it took her to a document with all of your information.

"Name, birthday, education, blah blah blah... oh?" She zoomed in on health and noticed that it was a huge paragraph. Not only that but images were attached of your burns.

"...pfft- haha! No way!" She laughed while her eyes showed an evil glint to them.

"This is easier than I thought" and with that, she too made her exit.

By this time, Yoongi had already arrived at the main lobby and was frantically looking for you while heading to the studio.

Hoseok had left you alone to get changed and told you to go home. Obviously you were worried if you were allowed to do so but he had said he would deal with Yoongi.

So you went home with your sister who came in a rush to pick you up.

"Alright, let's just skip the female model photoshoots and just do the males" the employees all agreed and began changing the room for the next photoshoot.

Seeing that he needed to get more camera storage, Hoseok signalled to Jimin and Taehyung that he would be back and left the studio.

Well, that was the plan until he bumped in to a certain masked man.

"Yoongi?" Upon hearing his voice, Yoongi turned to go over to him.

"Where's Miss L/N?" The red haired rolled his eyes before answering.

"I sent her home" the CEO furrowed his brows in confusion.

"Why? Is she okay?!" Hoseok was surprised at how worried his boss was about you and he had never seen him like this before. Not even to Joy.

"...she would have been just fine if it weren't for that bothersome model of yours" Yoongi could only sigh at her behaviour and wasn't surprised at all.

"I'll talk to her later-"

"No, you need to sort her out and put her in her place! Do you understand how much Y/N suffered just now because of her? You need to take action instead of hiding away all the time" and with that, Hoseok left him to go and retrieve his memory cards.

Yoongi was taken aback by his sudden outburst as he had never seen Hoseok so angry before. Sure, the photographer was always up to mischief and liked to not take things so seriously but, he was the total opposite just now.

His words how you had suffered just now only ached him, not knowing that Joy had caused such stress for you.

Hoseok was right, he needed to do something instead of hiding away in his office all day.
