Here we are with part two of the "Main Characters" guide. And we're at an important part-- appearances.

Now, I'll admit, this'll probably end up as a rant, so watch out. But I'll have separate parts for cats and humans.

Ok...here we go.

CATS

Eye color- 

✓ Green eyes! These are actually the most common eyes in the wild for feral cats. USE THEM

✓ Yellow is also super common :) 

✓ Copper/amber are awesome and underused for MCs! (Especially copper, which is technically darker than amber)

✓ Yellow-green is actually a color, it's pretty cool

- Blue eyes are alright, as long as the cat has white somewhere in their body. Just don't overuse them, and DEFINITELY don't pair them with a silver pelt -_-

- Aqua eyes exist on literally one breed of cat that I can think of, the Tonkinese. If your cat has teal eyes, make it that breed and a kittypet or something

X Odd-eye? No no no no no. That ONLY happens on white-furred cats, and normally causes the blue-eyed side to be deaf. (Although, perhaps a book with a cat with that flaw would be interesting....ack I'm getting off-topic)

X Red eyes? No no no no no THEY DON'T EXIST UNLESS YOUR CAT IS ALBINO. IN WHICH CASE, IT WOULDN'T SURVIVE IN THE WILD

X Grey eyes are ALSO NON-EXISTENT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD PEOPLE. 

X Brown? Repeat after me. CATS. DON'T. HAVE. BROWN. EYES.

X Purple/pink/some stupid color not listed here: HAHA NOPE. CHANGE RIGHT NOW.

Fur color:

Repeat after me: NO PATCHES OF ANOTHER COLOR CAN EXIST ON A CAT OTHER THAN WHITE UNLESS IT IS A TORTIE. THEY'RE SPECIAL

This means NO black cat w/ grey belly, no cream cat with grey spots, nothing.

It can be a tortoiseshell/calico.

It can have white patches.

But due to the wonders of cat genetics, you cannot have "black-tipped ears" on a ginger cat or a "black-tipped tail" on a cream one.

If your cat does have, like, different shades of grey or brown, that's probably alright-- in that case, though, it's probably a specific breed. This means they have a very close direct kittypet ancestor, or are a kittypet themselves.

Basically, you can't be Spiderleg.

HUMANS

Eye color:

✓ Brown is perfectly alright, because it's the freaking MOST COMMON EYE COLOR IN THE WORLD.

✓ Green is cool too. But it doesn't have to be described as "jade green" or that sorta crap unless its from the love interest's POV and they're really into eyes or something. They themselves shouldn't refer to their eyes like that.

✓ Blue is ok. I mean, it's kind rare, but whatever. You don't see it a ton in books.

X Grey? Seriously, your character doesn't have to be THAT unique

X Gold...are you effing serious??

X PURPLE? Unless they're wearing contacts, girl, this ain't probable!

X Red......tell me when you've seen an actual human, irl, with red eyes....that wasn't albino or somthing....

X Some other stupid eye color that doesn't exist, like orange: AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh *slams head into table*

Hair color:

✓ Brown. I mean, it's pretty common...

✓ Black. Also pretty darn common

✓ Dirty-blonde-- ayy, I like that one

✓ Dyed? Awesome dude!

- Blonde- You're edging slowly toward stereotypical american....

- Ginger: Hey, gingers are cool. Just....just....not to many please

X Grey...bro, unless you're old, no please.

X White also, like unless it's white with age, it doesn't grow that way....

X Purple/blue/green somehow naturally GURL NO

Ok, sorry bout that rant xD. But anyway, do y'all want me to continue this "Main Character" series? Next would prob be backstories/family or something
