Natasha Romanoff was seen as a cold woman by those that weren't close to her, and there weren't many that she allowed close enough to see the invisible cracks in her masks. Clint Barton and Phil Coulson were two of the few individuals that knew the real Natasha, or as close to the real one as they could get. She worked with other agents with the poise of a ballerina, but none of them compared to Clint, until Monroe showed up.

Monroe Reinhardt is an MI6 agent with a wide variety of skills and a pessimistic outlook on life. A few years before aliens pour out of the sky, MI6 assigns their best agent to be a liaison with the shadowy organization known as SHIELD. Monroe is that agent, and once he begins his journey nothing will stop him from seeing it through until the very end. Not even a Norse god, an insane artificial intelligence with a body, a Civil War, or a giant purple alien with population control as his main goal will stop Monroe from finishing the job that he was assigned. Protect the Earth.

"You can barely see the wall with the amount of weapons on it! How do you have that many favorites? Wait, no, wrong question. Why do you have that many weapons in you home? If those are your favorites, then where do you keep the other ones?"

"You never know when someone might try to kill you or when you might need to kill someone. I like to be prepared for every eventuality and possibility. I have a hard time picking favorites, so if I even moderately like a weapon it's going on the wall. You never need to know where I keep my other weapons."

Additional Information

•Monroe is a pessimistic British MI6 agent. He loves any form of weapon and has an immense collection of guns and knives. Being an MI6 agent is in his blood, his father, mother, and both grandfathers were agents and his great-grandfather on his mother's side was the Prime Minister. Monroe loves serving and protecting his county and he would do anything to keep his people safe.
•Monroe becomes a liaison to SHIELD before the Avengers are formed and he becomes friends with Clint, and through Clint he befriends Natasha. Their relationship is slow going because they both have trust issues.
•Monroe is an Avenger as well as an MI6 liaison to SHIELD. This means he goes on missions with the Avengers and he does MI6 missions.
•Monroe has an obsession with chocolate. He will eat chocolate anything, even chocolate covered crickets or scorpions.
•He is good with computers and his college roommate taught him how to hack and write code. Monroe occasionally moonlights as a white-hat hacker when he is bored. He even hacked Tony once, it's up to you if Monroe was successful with this particular hack or not.
•Monroe doesn't mind Natasha's past and he could care less that she is a feared assassin. He is quite good at killing and so has no qualms with blood or gore.
•He has an odd amount of knowledge related to serial killers and famous assassins that he randomly spouts out. One of his favorite hobbies is researching these types of people.
•Monroe is terrified of snakes, clowns, and oddly enough funeral homes.
              -He had a bad experience with a very poisonous snake when he was a child. He was out hiking with either his family or some friends when he accidentally stumbled upon an adder, also known as Vipera berus. Monroe somehow pissed this snake off and it chased him until it was able to strike and bite him. He's hated snakes ever since and he says they are "out to get him". This is funny because when he took the Harry Potter house quiz he ended up with Slytherin.
              -When he was twelve, Monroe's parents took him and his siblings to a carnival. While they were there a clown brutally tortured and killed an acrobat. Because of this Monroe has become wary and even fearful of clowns.
              -When Monroe was just starting out as an agent he was tasked with making sure that a target was dead. The target was slated to be cremated and so Monroe had to sneak into a funeral home to provide a positive ID on the body. He was sneaking around the body storage area and opening drawers to try and find the body he was looking for. During this lovely task, Monroe opens the sixth drawer and pulls it out to reveal the body he's looking for. There's a catch though. As Monroe is making a positive identification the body suddenly sits straight up, scaring the crap out of Monroe and causing him to punch the suddenly alive body. The prankster turns our to be one of Monroe's new coworkers and the incident is one of several hazing rituals that is chosen for all new agents go through. After this Monroe has had a hatred and slight fear of funeral homes.
•There is no hint of a relationship between Natasha and Clint or Natasha and Bruce. Natasha is still called Aunt Natasha by Clint's kids and Monroe is called Uncle Monroe.
•There should be something that happens to bond Monroe and Natasha together. They are acquaintances and almost friends before this (because of Clint), but something needs to happen to force their semi-friendship into a relationship.
•Monroe and Clint are fast friends and once Monroe and Natasha get together the trio becomes even more unstoppable and inseparable than before.
•Monroe is the kind of person that can be extremely negative, but then is able to completely manipulate a situation into something positive, once he's involved.
•DO NOT KILL OFF MONROE!
