Eleanora Calvert was born and raised in the infamous Calvert mob family. She and her brothers were groomed to take over the family business one day, but Eleanora dreamed of going to vet school. When she landed a scholarship to her dream school, Eleanora has no choice but to inform her family of her plans. Luckily, the Calvert family supported her and Eleanora took the vet world by storm.

Years later, Eleanora owns and works in her very own vet practice. She lives a happy life and keeps in touch with her criminal family and their allies. Eleanora even enjoys a few criminal activities of her own, but she has line that will never be crossed. When she witnesses a branch of the Leon family's drug empire kidnapping little girls to sell to human traffickers, Eleanora's morals kick in. Children are where her line is drawn. She follows the thugs to their warehouse and realizing that she is hopelessly outnumbered, Eleanora tips off the police.

Meanwhile, SHIELD assigns Clint Barton to observe this particular branch of the Leon family's operation. While on assignment Clint witnesses four of the gang members stalking a beautiful woman through the streets, looking for a chance to take her out. When they appear to corner her in a dead end, Clint makes his move to save the damsel in distress. Or so he thought.

This story spans many years and will be told for generations. The dark princess of the Calvert mob family and the assassin turned Avenger.

"You don't get an opinion on this situation. You laughed during a funeral last week because you started thinking about a joke that Tony told a month ago."

"I'm never gonna live that down, am I?"

"Not for a while, no."

4-"You just demolished that dude's kneecaps!"

"Yes, and...?"

"Nothing, nothing. Just curious about how a veterinarian knows how to torture someone."

"You haven't met my family. If you knew them this wouldn't shock you. For my ninth birthday my father gave me a crash course in torture. Blasting off kneecaps was lesson number one."

"I really need to meet your family."

"I know. Nat needs to meet them too, she's been bugging me about it recently. I think she'd get along with my older brother, if you know what I mean."

5-"That is a staggering amount of food. How much did you order?"

"I got hungry and you weren't here."

"That's no reason to order this much food! What is that twelve boxes of pizza behind the extra large sheet cake? There's no way we're ever gonna eat this much food Clint."

"We can give the leftovers to the homeless."

6-"Are even you listening to me right now?"

"Save your breath Eleanora. He stopped hearing you about ten minutes ago."

"That little pigeon! How often does he do that?"

"All the time. Especially when he's bored, avoiding the topic, or pissed at someone."

"Wait, What is she doing?"

"I think she looking up how to curse at him in sign language."

"Oh, why didn't I think of that?"

"Because for a genius you can be a real idiot."

"Why are you laughing?"

"Because she just said that Clint is snake shit."

"That not even a real curse! What makes that so funny?"

"Clint hates snakes. He calls them evil incarnate and believes that the only good snake is a dead snake."

Additional Information

•So, I've never read the comics, but I know that Clint/Hawkeye is deaf in them. I've never really seen deaf Clint in fanfiction and so I wanted to make a plot that was a little different and deaf Clint came to mind.
                   ~Please don't change this part. I know someone that is deaf and I would love to see deaf people in more things. They need more representation and love.
                    ~This doesn't change Clint's personality at all. He should still have the same quick wit that he has in the movies. He should also do the same things and more than he did in the movies. I love Clint and I think he deserves more screen time.
•Eleanora is quick witted and sarcastic. She loves coffee ice cream and sci-fi movies.
•She and Clint meet during one of his SHIELD jobs. Eleanora got tangled with some sketchy people and when she reported something that she saw to the police they began trying to kill her. Little did they know that she wasn't as helpless as she seemed. Eleanora grew up in a mob family (you know the whole 'give me my money or I'll break your kneecaps' kind of family) and she kind of left the family business when she moved to attend college. Because of who her family is Eleanora knows how to defend herself. Clint meets her when he gets sent to observe and report back on the sketchy people she pissed off. He sees them attacking her and before he could get a shot off she had already taken one of the guys down and was working on the second one. Clint steps in and takes care of sketchy guys three and four. After this lovely encounter the two end up as weird friends which grows into a weird relationship.
•Eleanora is a vet. She loves animals and taking care of them. Tony will make cracks about her dating a superhero named after an animal.
•Just because she isn't really in the family business doesn't mean she doesn't keep up with her family and other mob families that they are allied with. She has a ton of mob connections and she uses them. She also still does a couple of mob related jobs. Eleanora is even invited to a bunch of different mob family events, she attends some if not all of them.
•Eleanora has a conscience but it is darker than most people's because of her upbringing. She has no issue with killing or torturing people. After Clint's stint as an assassin puppet, Eleanora doesn't have any issues with him. She doesn't care at all about anything that he did while under Loki's control.
•While I love Laura and Clint's kids, they either do not exist in this story or they are Clint's sister and his nieces and nephews. Also, there is never a hint at Clint and Natasha being a couple in this story.
•Eleanora has two brothers. One older and one younger. Her parents are both alive. She has a bunch of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
•She doesn't have any powers, ever. She's a normal human.
•She learns sign language at some point.
