Chapter 3 - Raven's Quest

[Raven's Point of View]

...

Everyone had parted from Ruben, except me. I had nowhere to go. Returning to my hometown, Velder, could have been a reasonable choice, however, I was framed by my best friend; I was tortured and received a Nasod arm, my fiancee, Seris, was murdered right before my eyes. It was a place I didn't want to return to. I couldn't trust anyone but my current comrades.

A portal, or rather, a crack of time and space, appeared before me, as Add stepped out, smirking.

"I knew you'd still be here, kekeke." the tracer laughed.

"What business do you have with me?" I asked.

"Well, my 'friend', I was travelling to everyone's locations through abusing my time and space ability. Everyone seemed fine, except, when I visited the elf, she had absolutely no clue as to who I was. I asked her if she remembered anyone from our group, and she declined. We haven't been separated for that long, so how could this be? Of course, old people do suffer from memory loss, but this is just ridiculous. Which is why, you, the one Rena seems most... 'fond' of, will help with her recollection recovery process. Great idea, is it not? You should be thanking me." he explained.

Rena, losing her memory of who we were? It's rather rude to speak of a woman's age, but she was thousands of years old, and had the physical appearance of a young adult. But, I had no choice but to trust Add's words.

"How exactly will I help with this 'recollection recovery process' you speak of?" I asked. "And please, wipe off that hideous smirk off your face. It's quite a bother." I added.

"I did some research about it over the past few hours. I have to do something with my life, you know? Kekeke. There is a forest saturated with magic in the outskirts of the Elf Village. Only few are able to pass through, certain qualified people, you could say. There will be obstacles along the way, you must take the elf with you. If you are able to pass through the forest, there will be a special antidote capable of healing any serious problem, such as her memory loss. That is all I know. Good luck, I shall go visit Eve a second time, whether she likes it or not. Kekekekekeke..."

He jumped into his time and space crack afterwards, and disappeared. I did owe him one for sharing this information with me, though.

I started heading to the Elf Village, for Rena's sake. As I walked through the greenery leading to the hamlet, thoughts of both Rena and Seris popped into mind. I quickly dismissed both of them, they were unnecessary thoughts. I was doing this merely because Rena was my comrade, and everyone else was far too busy with their own lives. Although, she was truly a beauty, sparkling inside and out, and had a wonderful personality that was pleasant to be with. My new quest to save the 'damsel in distress', although I was far from being like those princes in fairytales.
