Chapter 3 - Nasods
...
My luscious, dark black hair was flowing with the graceful wind as I rushed along to the group of Nasods. I was scared of several things in the process. What if I tripped? Running in high-heels was not an easy task. What if my hairpin fell out? Eun's spirit was securely fastened within the ornament, it would be troublesome if I were to lose it. What if I was too late to save the unfortunate civilian? What was she doing, anyway?
As I drew closer to the gang, I had realized that the albino woman was in fact, a man. Shocking. He did look extremely feminine from afar, though.
I heard quiet, creepy laughter from the man. Not bad, I had to admit. Afterwards, I heard soft muttering. Did he even acknowledge my presence here? Most likely not.
"Contaminated Nasod TYPE-N, Nasod Watcher TYPE-W, Flame Thrower Nasod TYPE-S... Wonderful, wonderful! Yes, yes, come to me, Nasods!" he yelled with delight.
Suddenly, one of the robotic machines shot an electron ball at him.
I sighed. "Playtime's over!"
My spear appeared in my hands, as I dashed forward at piercingly high speeds. I deflected the orb before it could hit the scientist, or at least that's what he seemed to be. Afterwards, I pushed the researcher out of the way, off to the side. I didn't want him receiving any casualties.
I then summoned a large vortex of dark energy, as it pulled the machinery inwards. The Nasods exploded into billions of tiny metal fragments upon contact with the darkness. "Suppression Energy!"
The boy stood up afterwards, dusting himself off. "Ow."
I looked at him. "Are you okay?"
"Bah! YOU RUINED MY PLANS!" he shouted.
"Ruined? I SAVED you!" I protested.
"It took me a while to find those beautiful Nasods, and it was even harder to gather them here!"
I hated dealing with people that were in a fury.
"You were going to be killed otherwise. You don't look like you can handle attacks very well. How low is your defense?" I asked.
"SHUT UP!" Wrath, wrath, and more wrath. Great.
"What's your name?" I inquired. He did seem somewhat interesting, minus the anger.
"Add." he replied.
"Splendid. My name is Ara." I smiled.
"Tch. Thanks a lot, b****." he scowled.
So much for friendship. Honestly, Add really needed to relax.
"Say, how about we become friends?" I offered.
Perhaps he'd provide me with some entertainment. Plus, he seemed like he'd need a companion by his side with that fragile-like state of his.
"Hell no." he glared at me.
Rejection. How dare he! Well, that was fine.
"Why not?" I demanded an answer.
"You destroyed the Nasods!"
"Is that it?" I sighed. "That's a stupid reason, you imbecile."
We had a long, verbal argument before we came to a conclusion.
"Fine, if 'friendship' is what you desire, then I'll be your goddamn ally. Happy?" Add rolled his eyes.
"Yes, very." I smirked.
I took a closer look at him; he was fairly skinny for a teenager, and the lab coat didn't help very much. His colour palette consisted of mainly shades of white, purple, and light lavender.
"What on Earth are you doing?" he narrowed his eyes at me.
"Oh, nothing. You mustn't worry." I reassured him.
"Whatever."
