Legolas giggled and waved at Lindoir from his Ada's arms. Before any of the elves could say a word, there was a shout from the twins. They had called the same name.
"LEGOLAS!" Elrond chuckled as Legolas tried to hide in in his hair.
"Penneth, go hide. They will find you sooner if you are with me." Elrond whispered, a joking tone in his voice. He placed his youngest down and watched as his little leaf ran down the hallway. He gently shook his head, a smile gracing his face. Lindir smiled also, pleased that his lord was healing.
"My lord, we must discuss the celebrations." Lindir said a few moments later.

Elladan woke up, his scalp hurting. He got out of bed and reached the mirror at the same time his twin did. They stood in horror for a few minutes before opening their doors and coming face to face with an identical hair problem.
"You have..." Elladan whispered as he pointed.
"You didn't do this?" Elrohir questioned.
"No.... you... then who?" At that moment, realization gifted them, eyes meeting, and mouths opening at the same time. Two identical voices called out at the same time.
"LEGOLAS!" It would be the only warning their little brother would receive as the twins started to run down the hallway to find their little brother.
Legolas hid himself in the safest place he could think of: the pantry in the kitchen. His brothers would never find him behind the potatoes. Unfortunately, the twins checked there after checking with their father. Legolas' only warning was the opening of the pantry door. A set of hands swiftly but gently pulled him out of his spot. He paled as he came face to face with the two angry faces of the twins. Elrohir noticed the reaction and couldn't hold in his amusement any longer. He cracked up. Elladan joined Elrohir in a laughing fit. They hugged Legolas as they calmed down.
"That was absolutely amazing! I wish I had thought of doing that to Elladan!"
"That was hilarious! How did you get Ada to join in?"
"We must teach you how to braid. Come on, Arwen is still asleep. Maybe we could dye her hair." The twins started to scheme.
"Yyou're not mad?" Legolas whispered. The twins froze before Elladan wrapped his arms more securely around his littlest brother.
"We will never be truly mad at you! You are our brother. We love you, Legolas. We would do anything for you!" Elladan gently stated as Elrohir smiled at Legolas.
"Do you want to try and learn archery?" He inquired. Legolas nodded. The three found a bow that Legolas could hold and taught him how to fire an arrow. The rest of the day was filled with the laughter of the three brothers. When they arrived for the evening meal, covered in mud and twigs, Elrond almost scolded them until he saw the smile of his youngest and the way that Legolas didn't want to leave his oldest brother's protective arms. But something told the elven lord that this peace would not last for long. It was coming to a close. The orcs outside of Rivendell had found what they were looking for. They had found a small entrance into the Valley.
