The New Day to Day
"You can't escape us, Ellie." Simon's voice said. I looked at his smeary face as he stood on the back of one of the trucks, raising above all the rest. "Negan's everywhere."
As one of the men got ready to grab me, I took out one of his knees with the lead pipe. I swung at a guy who was behind me, probably bruising his liver or something. I was about to take it to another guy's head when someone behind me grabbed my biceps and pulled me back, forcing the lead pipe out of my hand. I used his body, pushing upwards and kicking the man in front of me; I kicked him in the chest with both feet. While my legs were in the air, somebody else grabbed them and held them up. I struggled to be let go, making eye contact with Carlos as I did so. There was something about his eyes... He hated what he was watching... But, if what I had heard about Negan from the workers were true, he was way to scared for his own life to speak up.
I had been driven back to the Sanctuary in the back of one of the trucks. My hands were now tied behind my back with rope. I was dragged out and forced onto my knees where Negan came over and stood in front of me. I kept my eyes trained on the floor. "You are an ungrateful little bitch, you know that? I give you a room nicer than I bet you've ever stayed, I don't make you work, I give you food, I give you freedom. I've already killed two of my men because I heard them conspiring to sneak into your room and rape you, you're welcome by the way. And... You run away. You ran. I thought we were old pals."
"We were never pals, Negan. Not even before the end of the world. You were just my P.E teacher. You only care now because I'm the only one left alive that you knew before the fall. But, you didn't even know me. Why the hell do you give a shit?" I asked, never looking up to him.
"Because like you said. You're the only person alive that I knew before the fall. I am sorry for taking an interest, but now?" He squatted down in front of me. He put his hand under my chin and gently made me look up to him. "You're gonna regret screwing with me, Dixon."
"The only thing I regret is not saving the one bullet I had and putting it between your eyes." I hissed.
He chuckled. "When you talk like that it makes me all gooey inside." He kept the smile on his face as he grabbed my hair and forced me to stand up with him. "We're putting her next to her father's cell. Hopefully they'll be able to hear each other cry in the night." Negan said to his crew as he started dragging me.
When we got to the corridors where all the cells were, he opened up my fathers. My father was sat in the corner, I didn't realise how dark the cell actually was until now. The song Easy Street had been blasting but it was turned off by one of Negan's minions. Dad sat up straighter when he saw me, panic instantly taking over his bruised face. I tried to fight off the tears as I'd realised he'd been beaten. "I tried." I told him, my voice cracking ever so slightly.
"Yes, she did. And, now she's gonna regret it. Just thought I'd let you know that she'll be in the cell next to yours, same song, same treatment, same food. You sure you don't wanna be apart of my crew, Daryl? It'll make life a lot better for your kid here." Negan pulled me hair even tighter.
"Dad, don't! I can handle it but what I can't handle is you being one of these murderous dicks." I tried.
Dad stared deep into my eyes, I gave him my best pleading face and he nodded at me. "I'm not joining your crew."
Negan huffed, tightening his grip in my hair even more. "I'll break you. I will. I always do." Then he slammed the door and the song started again. They threw me into the dark cell next to my father's and slammed the door. The only slither of light was that coming from the crack under the door... Other than that, it was darkness.
Drumming and clicking started to a tune. "We're on Easy Street. And it feels so sweet, cause the world is but a dream when you're on Easy Street. And we're breaking out the good champagne." The song continued, I tried to tune it out but it was so loud in my ears. When the song was over... It started again. I sat down in the corner of my room, letting out a tired huff as I rested my forehead on my knees.

Morgan Ackles
----------
I had been in the cell for a day... Maybe. Could've been a year and I wouldn't know. I wasn't sure when it was day or when it was night. I'd been brought a sandwich... Except the filling was dog food... So I was doing myself a solid and going on a hunger strike. The plate with the so called food was on the other side of the room. Easy Street had been playing non-stop which made me unable to sleep even if I wanted too. I had managed to snake the ropes off of my wrists which was always a plus.
Suddenly, the music stopped. The door unlocked and a man stood there. "Hello, you're Ellie, right?" He left the door wide open as he walked towards me and sat next to me.
I nodded. "You are?"
"I'm Dr Ackles. But, you can call me Morgan. I'm one of two doctors here... Negan wants me to give you a check up. Make sure everything's okay." Morgan told me. He spoke softly and with compassion, yet another person who didn't want to be here.
"Negan does? He sent you to make sure I'm okay?" I questioned.
"He may have done some questionable things-" Moran stopped when I scoffed, but then he continued. "But, he's not unreasonable. He understands what things are like out there and knows that it could be dangerous on a young body like yours. Did you have a doctor in Alexandria?"
I nodded. "There was a doctor, but he got himself killed... Then, we had another doctor... But Dwight killed her. I never went to them for check-ups because I always thought it was stupid."
"Stupid? Why would you think that?" Morgan questioned me.
"I've done things... The things I've done to survive... I kinda forgot that illnesses existed. Thought I was invincible." I laughed a little.
Morgan let a smile pull at his lips. "Well, how about we go get you checked out... I've told Jessie that you'll be there, so you can see your friend."
I grinned before nodding. "Okay." Morgan took my hand before leading me away from the cell.
I was sitting on the bed in the doctors room. I'd never been anywhere like this before, even with what Isabella was doing, I always managed to fix myself other than when she broke my bones. I looked around and the pristine, white, clean room with a small smile on my face.
"Jessie will be here in about ten minutes. Until then, let's get started shall we?" He smiled, sitting next to me. "Have you broken any bones before?"
"I've broken my left arm twice, my right arm four times, I've broken my left ankle three times, my right ankle twice... Oh, and I've broken ribs... Eleven times. Safe to say my mother had a lot of unpaid medical bills." I explained.
"How did you manage to break so many bones?" He chuckled a little.
"I was into kick boxing. I was good apart from when I wasn't." I lied. I didn't want to get into my motherly issues with this guy.
"Well, that's quite impressive." He grinned, putting on white plastic gloves. "Do you mind removing your trousers and underwear for me, please?"
My eyes widened. "What?"
"Vaginal infections are very common in unsanitary environments and I can't even imagine how bad it is out there. I've been here more or less from the beginning. I was in another camp before I was the only one left... Then I was picked up by the Saviours." Morgan expalined.
"I'm not taking anything off." I denied, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Ellie, this could save your life. I understand why you may feel unsafe, but-" He started.
"You can do anything else, just... Please. I don't want too." I begged.
He sighed through his nose, biting his bottom lip a little. "Alright... Can you at least answer a couple questions about down there and if there are any red flags, you'll let me take a look? Deal?"
I thought about it for a moment, before nodding. "Yea, okay."
I answered his questions, he did other checks which made sure I was okay over my clothing. I looked perfectly healthy as far as he could tell. He took a blood sample before the door burst open and in walked Jessie. "Ellie, you're alright." He smiled happily, shutting the door behind him.
"Yep." I nodded, popping the P.
"I was so worried; I thought they'd kill you for sure." Jessie told me.
I grinned. "Nah, you can't kill me. Sorry that I tried to leave, I tried to convince my dad to go back for you, but-"
"You don't need to explain yourself to me. If I had the chance to leave? I'd take it too. Besides, you wouldn't have been able to get to me without being caught. I was busy watching two guards fight." Jessie expalined.
"Negan says that he's taking me back when he goes to Alexandria for the first collection. I can try and convince him for you to come with me." I suggested.
"Really?" Jessie's eyes lit up.
"I mean, you know what he's like... But, I'll give it a go." I grinned.
"Can I go too?" Morgan asked.
I pursed my lips together. "I'll try... But, doctors are very valuable recourses. I'm not sure he'll be so willing to let you go, but I'll try my best."
Morgan smiled at me. "I appreciate that. Oh, Jessie, lock the door." Morgan said, before walking behind my bed. Jessie looked confused but did as he said. I made room for Jessie to sit next to me, before Morgan reappeared with a basket of fruit. "They forgot about this basket in your room. Go on, eat up."
"Woah, thanks, doc!" Jessie grinned, taking an apple and biting into it. I did the same with a pear. The last thing I expected to happen when I was kidnapped was to make friends with the people who were with the Saviours... But, how surprised can you really be when you're living in a world where the dead control the Earth?
